Please post here if you would have interest in, and want to be notified to participate in a poker tournament with physical coins as a prize.  

The buy in would be 0.05 BTC. The prizes would be dependent on the number of players.  As more players join , more prizes would be added.  

Tentatively I think 1st prize will be a Kialara labyrinth.

On a more serious note, how will we decide game types, formats etc? Voting or randomized? I like most poker games, but prefer the Cadillac nl holdem. Turbo is cool aswell, wouldnt want a 3day event :)

What's the difference between "NL hold'em" and "Texas hold'em"? You should probably put in a more detailed description of how the tournament will be played out in addition to the primary rules of NL hold'em.

The entry fee is a bit high for the doubters., this include me.
Maybe it is a option to level down the entry fee when there are more players who want to play.

Depending on time i will consider.  How many players and if a decent amount.... .05 will be steep for a kialara.  Im always down for some poker though.

We could also do playmoney HomeGames on Pokerstars. If we are playing for prizes.

Yes ofcourse. But Homegames on pokerstars are really easy for setting up private tournaments. And since we use playmoney you don't have to play for $$.

Now for the real question.....whens the best time to play being we are from all over the world?

This is what I was imagining would be the hard part, getting everyone together at a common time for a possibly long game.

This will probably need to be a weekend thing to make it work for everyone. As for the time itself, I should be able to fit a schedule suited to you guys, given notice :)

I like the idea to organize a poker tournament and also think that Pokerstars Homegames is the best place for it. Only would be nice if there can be organized more than one tournament one with lower buyin that now is suggested. So there will be more people who will participate. Because homegames is not available on mobile devices I can't guarantee that I will participate this time. When there is an official starting time I will decide if I will join the party.

It will be hosted on my own server more than likely.  It should work find on mobile. 

I can't access to pokerstars.com. In France we have pokerstars.fr and french players (who live in France, like me) are not allowed to play on pokerstars.com  :-\ I understand if you do this and I won't blame you.

But you can play with play money, as its not real money there are no worries :)

I like onlinedragon's idea of having more than 1 tourny: a low stakes tournament and a high-stakes tournament.  There are at least 12 people expressing interest, so maybe this is a good way to go.

I will send out a PM to all interested parties in the next few days.   Just finalizing the prizes and details.   

Wouldn't be for 'fun' anymore, would it? In addition to that, this reduces the amount of potential people willing to enter the tournament.

I may only be interested after reading up on this, so please post an update in this thread once you have finalized everything.

No in France it's forbidden to access and play on pokerstars.com, even with play money. And I just can't be connected to the .com network without a VPN, it sucks  :'(
