Title: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: blg42598 on September 12, 2016, 11:03:46 PM I have a Windows 10 PC with 5x RX 480 Nitros 4GB
My miner crashes ever time it starts (Claymore miner) Any suggestions? Another miner software to use? Also what are the best settings for Sapphire Trixx? Try with only one gpu Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: herrdrone on September 12, 2016, 11:58:50 PM I have a Windows 10 PC with 5x RX 480 Nitros 4GB My miner crashes ever time it starts (Claymore miner) Any suggestions? Another miner software to use? Also what are the best settings for Sapphire Trixx? Remember for Claymore's Miner you need at least 16 GB of virtual memory for MultiGPU on Windows & amd catalyst 15.12 for best compatibility & performance. Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: herrdrone on September 13, 2016, 12:08:39 AM I have 16gb virtual memory, but for some reason it crashes before it even starts mining Hmm.. try with just 1 GPU, an older version of claymore & if all that fails you should consider reinstalling amd catalyst 15.12. Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: blg42598 on September 13, 2016, 01:11:38 AM but 15.12 doesn't support rx 480
Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: herrdrone on September 13, 2016, 02:11:19 AM but 15.12 doesn't support rx 480 As far as I have mined with Claymore's Miner, device Support is extended by each new release. So It makes me understand (If I'm not mistaken) that Claymore's miner is developed based on amd catalyst 15.12. 1 month ago, I updated from 15.12 to 16.1 and It was a mess, Claymore's miner didn't work and I had to rollback. You can check here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Radeon-Software-Crimson-Edition-15.12.aspx That even r9 fury cards are supported by 15.12 version. Give it a try, if you still have troubles you should post on Claymore's thread. That's all help I can offer. I'm running Win 7 64bit with driver 16.8.3 and Claymore 7.0 on Nitro 470 8G without any issues. Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: blg42598 on September 15, 2016, 02:40:08 AM I tried different versions of Crimson. It still doesn't work. Any alternatives to Claymore's miner?
Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: melsell1 on September 15, 2016, 05:14:09 AM try that: uninstall drivers- after reboot open regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AMD and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ATI Technologies, delete both. Go to C:\Windows\Temp delete all. Go to C:\Users\YourRigName\AppData\Local\ delete AMD folder- reboot- reinstall latest crimson drivers... it helped me in win10

Another miner software to use? Also what are the best settings for Sapphire Trixx? I've had the same problem only with 380X. I tried everything (even changing the risers). I was able to mine with max 3 GPU's. After I changed my motherboard to a ASROCK H81 pro btc => voila, everything worked fine. I mine with 6x GPUs on all the cards I have. On the Sapphire Trixx I've set the cooler fans to increase directly proportional with the temperature. Good luck, Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: blg42598 on September 15, 2016, 01:51:00 PM I have a Windows 10 PC with 5x RX 480 Nitros 4GB My miner crashes ever time it starts (Claymore miner) Any suggestions? set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1 set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100 set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-us.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal WALLET -epsw x -dpool "WALLET" -dcoin sia hope it helps Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: arielbit on September 27, 2016, 02:22:53 PM check some wires that started to get burned..maybe when it started to pull electricity some wires cannot supply proper electricity, i've seen that happen in my miners..
-unplug and check PSU modular cables -check riser-molex connector...trace connections. in troubleshooting, it is best to check the hardware first before tinkering with the software. I resetted the computer, installed latest miner and driver. Changed virtual memory settings. Still crashes Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: fullzero on September 28, 2016, 04:06:23 PM I recommend removing the 'set' environment variable commands and using only:
Code: EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-us.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal WALLET -epsw x -dpool "WALLET" -dcoin sia If that still doesn't work, I would try mining ETH only: Code: EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-us.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal WALLET -epsw x -mode 1 Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: OverP on September 28, 2016, 04:19:49 PM could someone help me at mining with the same card,i try to mine at zpool at x17 algo but when i try i get harware errors only
Title: Re: Help with RX 480 Nitro Sapphire mining Post by: BTC_ISTANBUL on September 28, 2016, 08:35:33 PM Dear friend W=V*A .
What I mean is you have to decrease the Amper from 6.5 a to 3 A. This means you have to feed with 12V instead of 5V. By and large modify your riser. |
