HISTORY & BACKGROUND INFORMATION
King Kamehameha was the first hawaiian king. As a native hawaiian myself, Kamehameha is a part of my heritage and he is a very important figure in Hawaiian history. King Kamehameha united all of the Hawaiian islands by sailing into uncharted waters by conquering each island. He is also well known for the creation of what is called "The Law of The Splintered Paddle" otherwise knowns as Kānāwai Māmalahoe which protected non-combatants during times of war.

Bitcoin could be said to be sailing into uncharted waters as a revolutionary technology that is, over time, leading the way and taking over the world of commerce/finance. It is in this metaphor that both Kamehameha and Bitcoin are paralleled in history and is represented in this physical coin.

0.26 BTC per coin

Shipping via USPS Registered Mail:
US - $30
International - $50

For either option buyer agrees to not hold myself or LEALANA, LLC liable if your coins are lost/stolen/damaged while in transit. There are inherent risks in shipping funded physical cryptocoins.

(ID will be required upon delivery for pickup) for both domestic U.S. and international customers. Any customs/VAT taxes or fees that are placed on the package while going through customs for international customers are the responsibility of the buyer to pay.



OTHER INFORMATION
The artwork for both sides along with the hologram is custom commissioned art. It took months of working with the artist and related vendors and getting the design in such a way that it fits nicely on to the coin. I've spent countless hours hand tracing the design to allow line thickness to work for minting and also having to get vector art by hand tracing the majority of the hologram design (the circuitry and the binary ocean) so it would be visible.

Certificates (COAs) will likely be part of coin sales along with the auctioned coins as well. Certificates will only be provided should the coin(s) be fully funded with its 1BTC face value. If coins are not funded prior to shipment they will be laser marked on their respective holograms "BTCUYER FUNDED" or something similar to indicate the coin(s) are unfunded.

Any further details will be added to the main post as I get around to posting it.

Serial #'s and first bits will be laser marked on to the hologram as the hologram used has no clear window as was the case with my previous coins.

Coin #'s will be determined randomly. If you want to purchase a set of the same coin # for each coin type that is possible if you wish.

It is on the back of the coin. Upper right side (right outside of the hologram) says "LEALANA ONE BITCOIN".

I thought the same, my take is because XMR are also accepted for payment but that is me.

Symbolism

Monero is going dark in its technological advancements and it is "setting" like the sun does on the horizon.

I've been looking around for boxes that fit these and haven't had much luck. There is a site I found that will custom fit your coins in a wooden exterior box.

Probably will include it as an option for those who want it at an added cost. Currently I do not know the cost yet.

Sharp looking coin Smoothie, great work. Reminds me of some of the old school Royal Hawaiian Mint coins done by Norfeds BVNH. Which isn't a bad thing ! Cracking holo, a real step forward IMO

What I am aiming for is a sparkle effect. That is a very fine balance between keeping the characters clearly visible but also not burning through the hologram.

I think i've found the sweet spot in the settings. Probably I will do a few tests just on the holograms that are not on any coins.

Very nice work, it sounds like you've refined the process a bit and I'm looking forward to seeing one of these in person.  I'm impressed by the hologram as well and I like the variety presented in your coins this year.

I just determined what went into the sculpture. As it had to fit on the coin circularly.

Amazing, it looks like a ton of detail was preserved from the art to the sculpt.  Your sculptor definitely did a great job.  :)

Just in case would you give some notice before opening sales and knowing how it'll work.
If you'd accept reservations for sets. I have expressed my interest right on the first page just in case.

I've seen before other coin makers announcing a date and time for reservations to start.
Wouldn't want to miss on lower numbers :)

Once sales begin, there will be no reservation of particular numbers (unless you won an auction). I do not know how many auctions I will do.

Set numbers will be randomly determined.

To be clear I did not mint all 250 of each coin type. I've minted less than that to get the ball rolling on this series of coins. If I sell out or look like I am going to sell out I will make an order for more to be minted and indicate if there are any lead times to be expected outside of my normal turn around times.

Also I should state that I reserve the right to lower the mintage limit (max mintage) at any time for any reason. Of course I would never raise the max mintage limit.

I will only sell what I have, and not do any preorders (morally I think it is wrong to do any form of pre-order) given the past scams that have taken place.

I hope this clears things up.

Note - I had to "hand trace" the binary on the ocean for a vector file given the artist couldn't do it nor could any of the vendors used. Probably was an easier process to accomplish that, but oh well.

Not yet, I don't think it's finalized yet.

The hardcover Encyclopedia is still in production.  We haven't made a cover for it yet.  I was suggesting that it would be nice to see the artist draw something to use for the cover.

Wanted to get your thoughts on the COAs as it was something I put together last minute.

These coins arrived today, and I had to snap a few pics to show them off. What immediately struck me was the size and weight of these compared to any of the other Lealanas.  :o A full 2 oz. compared to 1 oz..  Thank you smoothie for all the work you put into these, they will hold a special spot in my collection.
