This is actually kind of hilarious to be honest, it might be a good thing in the future and typically I'm against things like this. Knowing Japan they might be able to make it weird enough that it's actually entertaining, and I guess they do have the user base in Japan to make it worthwhile for them to try something like this.

its a great breakthrough from japan, i like the fact that they put crypto currency into a show, its surely going to boost crypto currency name and fame, and they packed it with a great deal of promotion, i think it's a very good thing, we need a lot of advertisement from different country to boost crypto currency reputation

Between the china and Japanese there is some gap in their purpose, I think the Chinese are more forward about the profit caused by their electricity value is so cheap comparing with japan but the forward just purpose of japan is wanna for implementing the digital currency in their daily life.

This is very interesting, I think they will have success in this. Especially this part:

"The creators of BitGirls will offer discounted tokens during the month of October. Additionally, investors will be able to trade the BitGirls currency on the Zaif exchange, starting this November."

I never heard about this zaif exchange, and I`m here for some time, and I`m trying to follow news. Can we trust them? I think I will invest in this coin, this is something that can worth one day, I think they are crazy enough to make something big from this. I think they like shows like this, and maybe this can be good opportunity for making some nice profit. What you think guys?

Is this good or bad for Bitcoin? I think it is bad for Bitcoin, because we are dealing with permissioned Blockchains and counter party tokens and not Bitcoin directly. https://news.bitcoin.com/mijin-combines-permissioned-blockchains-bitcoin-ninjas/

The moment when you have to deal with anything other than Bitcoin, you become the competition. Yes, these people will be introduced to Crypto currencies, but not to Bitcoin. ^hmmmmm^

I don't agree with you there. Bitcoin needs services built on and around it's idea to thrive.

Remember that these projects are launched becaused bitcoin is becoming a large behemoth that is not easily adjusted to impelement new features. The other cryptocurrencies can fill this place, with bitcoin being the backbone of the whole cryptocurrency space.

you are right this could be not the perfect way to go, but i am still in doubt if this is still a good idea. will the popularity and spread knowledge of bitcoin outweight that problem or will it huert bitcoin in the long run.

That's pretty cool!
Japan is indeed really pushing Bitcoin, Blockchain and this whole cryptocurrency stuff with tokenization.
In terms of technology Japan and it's people often have been ahead of the rest of the world. They just love tech!
However in terms of payments they are ver conservative and mostly stick to cash.
It will be very interesting to follow the development over there.

Japanese TV is always vanguard the rest of the world. Their TV shows can be mindfuck but always entertaining, so overall I think this could really work for benefit of BTC.

They are a mainly a japan focused exchange, but I know they have been around a while and have received a lot of VC money. I guess in the US when you get VC money you buy a Superbowl commercial or two, but in Japan you make a crazy TV show with girls. hahaha

I disagree, naked Japanese girls educating Bitcoin on live TV, WILL definitely draw a lot of attention. If they use Bitcoin as a method to

play strip poker with the viewers, it would be even better. I would dump a bunch of coins on TV like that.  ::) Japanese girls are sooo sexy.

On a serious note and all joking aside.... the mud wrestling will draw more American viewers.  ;D ;D ;D

This looks like an attempt to get people to crowdfund whatever they want to buy for them and to adopt their altcoin, but ok :D Nevertheless, the reaction from the Japanese public to this show will be interesting, given the media coverage that the Mt. Gox issue seemed to have... I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Not something to celebrate, Japan is full of pedophilia and perverts. Don't know why they're praised on Bitcointalk

That is a great news with that bitcoin will come up to TV channels internationally and more people will learn more about blockchain technology and so the investors who do not know about this asset will know it and will start to invest in there.

So does the rest of the world. And the show doesn't seem to have any of those two topics included...

Another altcoin with another blockchain. Is there a faucet so you can get first coins for free? I believe you have to pay and I don't like it. BTC was worthless when it started, and it took years before it was worth something. I guess the creator sof that new altcoin just want to make cash quickly. With women showing some flesh, it has worked countless times before.

Wow, what a strong statement to make on a public forum. I doubt that you would be making that statement, if you were standing in a public park in Japan. I have friends over there, and they are normal married couples with strong religious believes.

Generalization can border on racism, if you target whole countries with silly statements like this. Every country in the world, have problems with people guilty of this kind of behavior. Not a Awesome thing to say, but let's stick to the subject.

Did they say these girls will be underage and acting in a perverted manner?
