I personally invest in penny stocks and ICO's.

In real life I invest in life insurance that comes with savings so bybthe time my insurance matures and nothing bad happened to me I can choose if I want my savings to be converted to a pension or pay me in lump sum. I find it convenient since its combined rather than look for a company that will cover my insurance and another company for my future savings.

I have never invested in any real life company or banks ICO, share market is completely manipulated in my country so large dumps and large pumps are normal here. I don't think i will be happy to invest in shares here, cryptocurrency trading is better for me.  :D

Honestly, I've never invested anything besides cryptocurrency. I even rarely invest something with my cryptocurrencies, but recently I'm interested in a stock investment. I would like to learn how to do it first and then try to invest a little bit, and if I could do it well then I would probably invest more.

I invest in stocks. I just recently learn the potential of bitcoin and I believe that it is one of the investments that I should focus on. I already lost significant amount in other investments because it failed but now I gained hope again in bitcoin and believe that I can achieve my goals investing in cryptocurrencies. As for stocks, I started with it just three years ago but I don't really focus on it somehow because I've been more active in cryptocurrencies now. I am planning to invest in other investment vehicles like real estate and other commodities if I have enough funds to do so because it's important to have multiple source of income.

Even though some people {Warren Buffet} believe diversification is for Sissy's, I still believe it is a good thing.  ;D ... I dip my investment

feet into lots of different things.. a little bit of gold and silver and some other commodities and some shares and property investments.

I believe you can never diversify enough, to spread the risk. If you invest in only 1 thing, and it bombs out, you will be left with

nothing.  ::) ...Oh, and some Bitcoin.. obviously.

ICO means "Initial Coin Offer", this would enter inside the category of cryptocurrency investments.

Anyway, as far as myself goes, I don't invest in anything outside the crypto circuit. I used to invest in forex, but I got tired and now I focus on crypto only. Lots of opportunities to get rich.

OP may refer IPO, aka initial public offering, those are real security/share. Not like our coin offering, ipo is lagitimate, but most ico are scams.

Yes, penny stocks are complete garbage if you don't have allot time for analysis, most of them will go to 0, only the ones who recognize potential before masses earn big, so use your head before media starts promote them.

P.S No risk no profit.

I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to Coin collection, and I border on being a Numismatist. I have been doing this since childhood, and I have a good collection. I think this is one of the reasons why I also got into Bitcoin, because I thought in the beginning that it was some sort of physical coin.

I now own a bit of both, and this will secure some of my financial problems in the future. ^smile^

I mainly invest money in domains but it's more of a fun hobby than an investment really, one that happens to offer potentially high rewards. I just really enjoy brainstorming names and ideas for brands and websites. I also try to keep an eye out for undervalued names on the various marketplaces. And because I only invest what I can afford to lose, I don't have high expectations, I just focus on having fun  :)

Penny stocks won't be considered as a wise kind of investing you must ho to the well known stable companies as most penny companies often use the ipo money to pay off debt and then later declare there company bankrupt. I am also into stock investing I invest in stocks that are undervalued but thee are not penny stocks.

Maybe not everyone, but I think a lot of people in this place are using Bitcoins in order to achieve the education that they want. Education is such a huge investment. Unlike with altcoins and trading, you can't go wrong with education. You can't have negative profit in school. All you have to do is learn things and get your degree so you'll have a nice day job. A decent paying day job can serve as your multiple source of income while bitcoins is your sideline.

this really depends on where you live. for example in my country the stock market is awful especially these days so investing in it is not a good idea. i used to do it a while ago but i sold everything and got out.

another market is the real estate which is also not so good these days but it is still a better market compared to others so i am planning on investing in it in the near future.

and apart from that i invest in gold because it is one of the best things to invest in and it gives quite a good return sometimes.

p.s. i think this topic is better suited in trading discussion board.

To all of the possibility and diversity of investments you have chosen Penny Stocks. Why? I don't get it Penny Stocks won't grow  if you are really speaking of "investment" because they are the companies who just barely accepted inyo IPO, if you are speaking of investment you must invest in bluechips or if not go to companies with a big market cap.

I invest in education. We can't say for sure that our earnings from Bitcoins will be permanent. We will eventually get bored of what we are doing. We'll eventually find another hobby or even discover a different passion in life. Nevertheless, education is my back up plan just in case something bad happens in the Bitcoin world.

Also, to be successful in life, we have to be knowledgeable of certain things. Yes, there are non-educated people who are so much successful than educated ones but it was simply because they were exceptional at something.

I also invested in some ICOs of altcoins before because i feel they are really profitable sometimes because they grow to a large percentage after the ICO finishes so if you have invested a good amount you get good returns too, but sometimes it gets opposite to that and drops the price which can cause you a loss as well.

I always invest and grow with regard to altcoin, because it really is very profitable.

Gold and education are both great ways to invest, and great ways to diversify as well.  Diversification in investments is perhaps the single best way to solidify one's financial situation.  Gold is relatively uncorrelated to most other investments like stocks, real estate and bonds.

Education can take various forms: formal college or trade schools, informal hardcore learning (for autodidacts), interning, etc.  Invest in yourself!  That would be particularly good advice to young people.

A nice example (for me anyway) is learning about Bitcoin here.  NO ONE I know is into it.  But, by learning and posting here at bitcointalk, I can get a little "return on that education investment"...

Its so hard to find an investment company that accepting bitcoin and has a big markets caps some of companies are only offer 2% of investment in every month and if you guys use to save bitcoin it won't grow much better if we invest that and take the risk.

What I have in bitcoin makes up for about a tenth of all my active investments. I have some investments with the savings and loan association from the company that I am working for. I also have some at the local mutual fund. I recently just closed another investment from my bank because it has not given me good amounts of return and I have to use that money for something else. The good thing with my bitcoin investment is they grow at a faster pace and I get to earn them as well, little by little.

Actually i am not investing anywhere my bitcoins right now because i dont have much right now.I am just focussed on saving and collecting more bitcoins to my wallet right and i will do that for 2-3 months more until i have enough amount of bitcoins, then i will plan to do some investements with my bitcoins.
You definitely should invest into other assets as you never know what is going to happen to Bitcoin. It is never good to keep all your eggs in one basket.
I don't think that "Never keep your eggs in one basket." applies in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is basically just money. Is it bad to store all your money into the form of money? Is it bad to store all your money in bank? If your answer is both 'No' then  you should not have any problem storing all your Bitcoins into Bitcoins.

Also, investing in other assets isn't always a good thing. Even a business put up by yourself can go bankrupt. You don't know what would happen to your investments so I think the person you were talking to just want to make sure that none of his coins goes to waste but as a consequence, it'll not earn profit as well.

Since banks do not provide much interests anymore, I have redisputed a good part of my investments from the bank into the stock market.
I'm not sure if it is a good time for that, but if I leave the money in the bank and the interests are at zero, I actually lose money cause one dollar today will not buy as much than one dollar tomorrow.
At the stock market I can lose money, but I can make some profit as well.
I prefere that option to the loss for sure at the bank account.

With negative interest rates, I think insurance is a dead duck these days. I've been investing in Internet domain names to provide an income, and a capital gain. It's getting hard to find good ones now though.
just curious how is investing on domain names works,i've been working in domain names since years ago but just can't figure out how to invest because people are rarely buying domain instead of creating the unregistered ones, just figured out in few domain names marketplaces but most of them have low rate of price

Invest on exchange sites by buying their own coins. i have invested to some who have tokenized their company such as alcurex and the new one is https://altex.ws to which they do have their token named APT. seem pretty cheap as of now. these are somehow long term investment though, you will need a lot of patience for this type of investment.

Ok so beside Bitcoin I invested a bit in some stocks, but not much.
When you don't have that much money there's not much you can invest in.
Furthermore I believe many of the actual markets are overvalued and inflated by all that QE of the last few years.
Bitcoin however imo is undervalued right now and has massive potential for future gains.
Sure it's a kind of gamble as we don't know if Bitcoin will make it, but I'm positive and willing to take that risk.

I invest on trusted alt coins in yobit exchange, by trusted i mean the coins which has been around from a while and has a quite good reputation among traders, and those coins are ETH, Dash and some more.

I've not invested anywhere else besides crypto currencies. I only invest in crypto currency. I invest in ICO's specially. this is the only way of investment which I feel legit little bit. I find a good coin which have good road map and escrow and invest my earning there.

I think most of the members are investing in Penny stocks and ICO's.
They don't want to invest in the banks because the interest was too small.

i try not to invest bitcoin that much these days because the only thing that i have been seeing in the investment plans is shady business and a final scam waiting to happen.

but if you consider trading as a form of investment then i do that. because my money is more in control of myself rather than being in the pocket of someone else.

Well all people here have different financial status in life so as desire in which type of investments they like.

As for me, aside from doing investment in bitcoin and in other cryptos here in virtual world, Im also have such active investment in real life. It's a small business one but good source of income. It's still better to have multiple sources of income as long as people can managed it freely without pressure.

Investing and Penny stocks does not go too well in investing as there are other good stocks to choose from like Blue Chips which are high in capital and in which you know your money will grow well. I don't think that Penny stocks can give you that much gain that you are looking for.

I am currently invested in one of the top performing companies here in our local market. Also, I do have a small business that I gained after a year of investing fully into bitcoin. Right now I'm looking forward to some promising startups that I see in Kickstarter. The market nowadays is saturated with the same concept and same companies and I like to see a startup that I would be a part of and see it grow.

you can simply invest to learn a skill online. maybe try purchasing a video tutorial on lynda.com or maybe udemy.com, that i guess is one of a long term investment if you get to practise what you learned.

If you  know how to use  google, then for sure  you would  find  some   investments  that would  suits  your interest. As long you  have  the  money to  put  on,  making  investments would be  no a  problem at all as   long you are  knowledgeable  on  to  things   because  as we all know there are lots  of   investments cams  out there. Crypto currency  investments are  good  for  long term  but  its also  good to make  investments on  physical world  like  investing  into stocks, physical stores, lending firms and  many more.

Yes, it does not go very well investing in penny stock, but to me there are some investment alternative like online affiliate marketing platform where you get to sign up free and your money for paid advertising which will guarantee you very handsome return on weekly to monthly basis without making too much effort on your side.
