Post by: Ridley69 on September 26, 2016, 07:30:52 AM

Is there any good and trusted multi currency wallet for Windows?
I have a BTC wallet, an LTC wallet, LISK wallet, ETH wallet... and I want to centralize every wallet into on multi currency wallet.

Thanks

You better use altcoin exchangers like bittrex or poloniex as altcoin wallets as there are not any good multi-coin wallet right now, https://holytransaction.com/ was out there used by many but from few weeks they are in maintainance mood don't know what going inside.

I've been using coinomi for a while now, without a glitch

https://coinomi.com/

It's an android wallet with multi-currency support. I think it's less safe than a desktop wallet (since it's intalled on your mobile, so it can be stolen easyer than a desktop wallet). But it does the trick ;)

I personally wouldn't use an exchange as my main wallet to hold large ammounts of altcoins... You never know when/if they turn scam or go bancrupt. Also, you're not the one controlling your private key, so you're not the one controlling your funds...

Currently there are only some Web multi currency wallets, but not desktop wallets. Developers can not make them, because it is very hard to do such multi currency desktop wallets, but in future may be some of them will make, let's hope.  ;D

i think until now there is no multy currency wallet for windows. as far as i know, the wallet is only for use in one coins, and if you want to use with another coins, you should download the wallet and install it in your Windows. maybe in future we can find this kind of wallet and its can make us more easier to collect our coins in just one wallet.

https://www.exodus.io/ (https://www.exodus.io/)

A desktop wallet for Bitcoin, Litecoin, Monero, Dash, Doge, Ethereum.... and more coins to come.
It has built in shapeshift so you can move your assets from one coin to another all in the same wallet.
Plus, you get to control the keys.

Multiple wallets = security.

True! I never have more than one bitcoin in a wallet at once i must admit. If i have 10 Btc i keep them in 10 separate portable wallets on 10 different USB sticks and then encrypt each USB stick. But the weakest link is the human not the tech.

Backup you keys and make paper wallets. Store a copy at a different geographical location from the originals to protect against: fire, acts of god, flood, war, terror, electro magnetic pulse bombs, meteor storms or ice ages.  But keep some cash and some nice gold too as the ATMs may not work due to power outages and you will need to by food and water in the early stages after a disaster.
