Canadianbitcoins.com

I've done a bunch of transactions with them. The main guy, James, is a friendly, helpful dude. It ain't instant, but it's pretty good. If you do direct bank deposit, you generally get your bitcoins pretty fast.  They've got an actual storefront address, a contact #, contact emails, and they actually respond in reasonable time.

For example. I put a buy order in on a saturday morning, got an email with my deposit amount and an RBC account#, deposited around 10am, texted james that the drop had been made, coins were in my wallet by noon.  That's probably a best-case-scenario, but even when it was a bank transfer, i got my coins the next day as soon as they verified the transfer into their account.   I dunno how many people canadianbitcoins has handling transactions, so sometimes it'll be a next day thing simply because the guy doing the transaction processing has to sleep sometime, ya know?

Basically, i'm sayin' they're a reliable, friendly exchange with excellent customer service.

and no, they didn't pay me to say that! :D

The easiest way to pay for ltc at a good rate is get an account with cavirtex (Calgary based) and you can deposit at a bank or once verified online pay.  Then you buy btc and move it to what ever exchange you desire for any particular coin.   Then you are free to move them wherever.... Offline/online wallet etc....  When caging out profit from an exchange just convert it to btc, send it to cavirtex.... Sell it and send it as interact transfer to bank account.  This seems to be the easiest way to do it in canada

Definitely this is the easiest way, and how I did it myself.  You can visit any Scotiabank or BMO branch in person and do a cash deposit to their account (see their website for full details).  In a few hours you'll have CAD in your Cavirtex account (-$3 fee), buy Bitcoins on their exchange, then transfer those bitcoins to any other address free.  Getting verified with them makes a few things easier (like cashing out), but getting money into the BTC system in Canada isn't too tough. :)
