Title: 18 Graphics cards radeon GTX 380 mining ETC and going negative (please help me)
Post by: CollegeKid on September 26, 2016, 09:38:28 PM
First off I am paying loads for electricity although thats not that much of a problem because I should still be earning more then spending but

My payments are only averaging to 12 ETC a day....

With GTX 380 18 of them I should be getting around

Day   0.000000   19.607841   0.038824   $23.60    $0.53   $23.08

Honestly I am starting to get really upset. What am I doing wrong here?

6 cards going at 120 AT LEAST but payments are fucking me over

I am mining on nanopool

Some advice would help me so much..

I am living paycheck to paycheck and I cant afford to pay for electricity on top of an investment that I made..

When I first started mining I got so caught up in school and work that I did not notice ETC crashing to hell so I have a bunch of coins that were mined at a higher price now I am negative and have to pay out of pocket for electricity. Honestly a hard learning experience. I will be selling ETC daily now...

You should solomine. If that is not possible try different pools.

Undervolt, underclock, bios mod should give you better efficiency.

How is this possible guys? Their is no way the pool has been fucking me over for this long?

The rates I posted above is what I should be getting!

Cards say I am at 120 hash per 6 on one rig and I have 3...

Anyone have any idea?

I cant believe nanopool has been fucking me over for this long... Is this possible, I dont understand how this would be possible they cant be fucking over the miners this bad...

You need to l earn to check your pool earnings more frequently. Not saying Nanopool is screwing you over, but mining does require due diligence on your part. The easiest way to check would be to switch to another pool for a day and compare earnings.

If your hashrate is 360mh/s you should get 36-38 ETC everyday. Basically 10% of your hashrate everyday.

Show us your nanopool stats page

i have thrown about 320 mh of my hash to both nanopool and ethermine for ETC

in nanopool i get ~16 ETC/day in ethermine ~18 ETC/day ... i didn't watch the difficulty, price has gone down so ... that's my observation

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/etc

calculates 320 mh at 18.9 ETC as of now

dualmined SIA too at about ~6500mh in nanopool

- nanopool gives about ~7500 SIA/day
- siamining gives about ~ 10000 SIA/day

didn't watch difficulty too so ... that's my observation.

note: mined first at nanopool and later ethermine when price of both ETC and SIA came down ... didn't watched difficulty/network hashrate

Ok college boy, here is your homework assignment based on the info you have supplied:

1) Search all the ETH forums for the MOST power efficient mode for your cards, whatever they are. Also check the Ethereum ETH forums.

2) Be sure to know how to switch to alternative coins that are GPU mineable and more profitable.

3) Visit Whattomine at least once a day to acquaint yourself with the status and trends in ETH type coins.

4) Study what comments have been made about the various pools.

Currently the ETH network has had issues with DDoS attacks. I don't know if this also bleeds into the ETC network.

The ETC price has been trending down. You should be aware of this. ETH "yield" at least from from Ethermine has also been decreasing.

Comments:

1) If people are piling into ETH, it could mean that word has leaked out the the PoS phase will be delayed.

2) As of right now ETH is more profitable than ETC.
