There seems to be some movement around Reddcoin (RDD).

Wallet was recently V2 updated with code-base switch to bitcoin, new utility applications, and improved sync/larger transactions, etc. A roadmap is going to be released on friday. Also, price is moving up (there is still some heavy sell weight).

I like Reddcoin AND Dogecoin. I think both high-supply (volume) coins are perfect for some future social micro-tipping application. I think Dogecoin/Reddcoin price are both pretty low right now and they are pretty similar in application.

Thoughts?

I think dogecoin and Reddcoin are cousins. Reddcoin will surpRISE everyone pretty soon after the sell pressure "even" out.

The road map is certainly well.
But unfortunately this is not enough to get out of the lowest price category.

i hope too but i am not sure for when its happen because for last month before, the price for rdd is just 7 sat until 8 sat. but i really waiting for the surprise of the price of rdd.

At the moment, it is just a roadmap.

What needs to happen is delivery on those plans

in my opinion these coins can never become serious money exactly because of their extremely huge supply (total coins in existence) but i agree about tipping part and it is not because of the high-supply but because of the cheap transaction fee and also fast confirmation

in Dogecoin it is 1 Doge and with RDD i think it is less than 1 RDD (not sure) last year i even tested it on Electrum-RDD with 0 fee and all the transactions were confirmed super fast.

I've been hearing that for years...even when Reddcoin was around 0.00000016+ bits the community was yelling that the price was going to increase soon.

Personally if I had to choose between Reddcoin and Dogecoin, I would pick Dogecoin just because of the userbase. With a large userbase you have more opportunities of merchants accepting the DOGE for whatever products.

Dogecoin has been a great coin to watch and participate.
They have done a lot of cool things over the last 2 years.

The low price in both coins (or the large supply, whichever way you want to look at it) is not necessarily a bad thing.

As a micro transaction coin, you want the fees to be low,
You also want to convey a level of value to the recipient.

They are both not designed to transfer large values (although you could), and if needed, I would actually suggest alternatives.
Reddcoin is not intended to be a one size fits all.

I think what you will now find is that Reddcoin has now had a turnaround in development, and getting a lot of attention from different aspects..
There is no promise on price, but I can say from a technical and development point of view, we have some cool things cooking

Any other reasons for it not necessarily a bad thing other than low fees?

How do you think Reddcoin are conveying this? Are there other ways to convey value?

What in it's design inhibits its suitable for larger transfers?
