virewox take 30% to buy bitcoins ??? are they crazy ?

what other website do you know to buy bitcoins and not beeing taxes like hell please?

there are a lot of them like coinbase, circle.com, cex.io, localbitcoins, c-cex
you can see the markets tab on coinmarketcap here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets
for the full list of the places that you can buy/sell bitcoin only look for BTC/USD or /EUR depending on the fiat currency pair you are looking for

Don't they usually offer to buy btc with paypal ? If thats the case, then the fees is justified. Otherwise, the person buying that is stupid to pay such high fees.

I can agree that virwox.com fees are high and that's due the fact that they accept payment methods that only a few (or none) exchanges accepts. However , as a user of Virwox I can tell you that there are no 30% fees . the highest fees are from Paysafecard (20%) , Ukash (15%) ; everything else is way below that.
Go to the "deposit" tab , to see the fees for all payment methods.

I think OP is talking about virwox , so yes they provide paypal to bitcoin conversion service which is of very high risk and they take 30% fee to be in safe side. It is truth that buying bitcoin with paypal is very hard and also expensive.

That's why i prefer to use a local exchange sites because the fee of the sites that accept digital currency or credit cards are very high.

I doubt it's really 30%, and I think the majority of the fees is actually being charged by the service provider you use (PayPal,Paysafe,etc). They charge Virwox, then Virwox charges it back to you plus their actual service fee. Virwox has more options for payments but you can always use other exchanges if you don't like their service fees.

Virwox has some minimum fees for various things, so if you buy a small amount of Bitcoin those fees will seem big. You can't just buy Bitcoins there either. You have to buy Linden dollars, then use those to buy Bitcoins, so you pay trading fees twice. The markets are thin and if you refuse to put a bid order on and wait for someone to fill it you will get a bad exchange rate. That's not a virwox tax, it's a result of thin markets.

Thats what I meant. If you are buying bitcoin using virwox because you want to pay with paypal, then its the worst decision you can take. Their fees for paypal is just unjustified. There should be better ways to buy bitcoin using paypal.
