These are pay to script hash addresses, abbreviated as P2SH. I haven’t seen such bitcoin address in my blockchain wallets (where you can change the address after each transaction). As an average user, you need not concern yourself with stuff like this as there is a lot (e.g. CLTV (https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0065.mediawiki), CSV (https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0112.mediawikil)and so on). Post by: dharkmadder on September 30, 2016, 01:48:01 PM all p2sh addresses start with a 3 unlike the 1 with the regular bitcoin addresses, I am not certain but I think the new auto-generated blockchain.info addresses start with a 3 as well.
