Title: .. CryptoNight G-Blade Gridseed ..
Post by: japz-x on September 29, 2016, 11:45:12 PM
Hey Guys,

I have some chips Gridseed 40 miners, I'm looking for some ccminer or cpuminer that supports the miners.
I'm currently using CPUMiner with GridSeed GC3355, but I want mine in CryptoNight algorithm.
Someone available to download?
Thank you very much.

The GC3355 is an ASIC that will ONLY mine SHA256 or Scrypt based coins.

IT CAN NOT BE USED ON ANY OTHER ALGORYTHM.

Wonder how exactly he is using a CPUMiner with that ASIC.

My doubt was if he had any cpuminer that could work as gc3355.
Unfortunately I can not make it to detect the COM ports that the ASIC is connected.
I'm currently mining for even Scrypt.

I believe that the GC3355 was supported by one specific version of a cpu miner, at least one ccminer version, and possibly one or more sgminer versions along with a lot of the other USB-based miners that have existed over the years.

You're certainly not going to run a USB-based miner on a GPU-specific software.

 ???
So it's possible to run CPUminer with some old ASIC for real ?

*ONLY* if it is a version that included ASIC support.

Ditto any ccminer or sgminer versions.
