Title: error: the transaction was rejected by network rules.(18: bad-txns-inputs-spent)
Post by: GumtreeMan on October 04, 2016, 09:07:18 AM
Hi All

I am now running Electrum 2.70 and went to do a funds transfer today, the first in over a month, only to be greeted by this error message  ???  ???.  Reading through other similar issues on the forum, I have tried creating a new wallet, using my original seed phrase, which is apparently 'Seed type: old' but the process just seems to hang  >:(.

Any suggestions on how I might be able to again transfer funds from my wallet?

Thanks in advance

your wallet is probably not synchronized.
use a working server, such as ecdsa.net.

Thanks for the tip, but I have actually connected to several servers over the past week - currently on Electrum.Online, and appart from a couple that showed as lagging by XX blocks, the wallet has always indicated that it is synced

Oh and the trick of trying to create a new wallet with my original seed, well the install wizard has been at the 'Please wait' screen for over 10 hours now ...

Cheers

Do you still have this problem? If so you can try creating a new wallet and sweep all of your private keys there. If successful you'll get new outputs and shouldn't get that problem again.

please do the following:
at the bottom right side of the Electrum window click on the green circle or got to Tools > network

then report what does it say in the first line of that window.

it should be Blockchain: 433108 blocks. right now (or a bigger number depending on when you check it.)
