Title: [POOL] [XMR] supportXMR.com - 0.6 % fee EU based PPLNS monero pool
Post by: M5M400 on October 07, 2016, 01:24:18 PM
Diversity is key to keeping a secure network. This is why I created this pool and this is the only reason why you should consider mining there. No bells*; No whistles*; Just another pool to support the Monero ecosystem and Ops focused on uptime, uptime, uptime.

- 0.6 % fee
- vardiff and fixed diff
- min. payout 0.1 XMR for 95char wallet addresses (defult 0.3 XMR)
- min. payout for paymentID and integrated addresses 0.3 XMR (default 5.0 XMR)
- site-integrated trollbox :)
- worker stats
- email notifications on worker outage
- payout to exchange
- chat bot with realtime statistics

Pool Backend located in Germany

Multiple, redundant hosts located in Germany, Austria, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, US east, US west, Canada
DNS based geolocation to automatically pick the nearest host to your location
DDoS protection
dedicated admins monitoring/improving the pool

Check it out! http://supportXMR.com

uptime/availability status: https://moneroocean.info/uptimes

Enjoy!

*fancy stuff might be added down the road

I saw the announcement on reddit and pointed my rig to your pool yesterday. Seems stable so far, but the next block is highly overdue :)

Thanks for joining us :) Yes, the next block is really overdue  :( 40Kh and 2 days without a block is rather unlucky. But it will come.

Meanwhile, I'm configuring a status page that displays pool uptime. I think this is key for a small, starting pool to get accepted.

:: NEWS ::

Yesterday we reduced the difficulty target window from 100s to 30s. I've noticed that the hashrate of my rigs is way more consistent now.

Found two blocks today mainly due to a 60KH/s bump from a fellow miner. Let's get the total hashrate past 200KH/s! Join us :)

yes. It's hard for newcomer pools to get accepted, because it's a gamble for the miner if he ever sees his reward. And some of the people starting new pools apparently were under the impression that they will generate godlike XMR from fees in an instant. When they realized that's not the case, they folded. At least that is my impression.

Update!

- 73 Blocks mined so far
- stable 50-80kh Hashrate
- 30+ concurrent miners
- 100+ miner addresses registered

It's nice to see progress and more miners mining with us :) thank you all!

NICEHASH IPs banned for pool hopping abuse until further notice

Over the last days we observed 200+kh hashrate peaks that started right after found blocks and lasted for 1-2h, indicating pool hopping, affecting the income of regular miners.

I'm looking into fixing/finishing the slush implementation in cryptopool-universal. Meanwhile nicehash IPs remain blocked.

Maintenance announcement!

The pool will go down for maintenance on 2016-12-27 at 10:00 AM CET

Following work will be carried out:

- update monerod backend to current 0.10.1 release
- patch pool software to work after ringCT hardfork
- general housekeeping and security updates
- adjusting pool fees

We already successfully tested the changes on the testpool, so everything should be done in 30 minutes.

Please make sure to specify a backup pool in either your miner or your proxy.

Here is a simple sample setup for HAproxy that automatically connects all miners to moneroworld as backup http://imgur.com/a/wrPw6

not yet. Since I got a vast amount of different opinions on the matter, I decided it would be best to have a poll about that. I set up one here: http://doodle.com/poll/2rbh6w3x97gshhu2

I will keep the poll open for a few days and then reach a conclusion.

MAINTENANCE NOTICE

Maintenance is scheduled for 19.1.2017 from 10:00-11:00 CET. Short service interruptions might occur during this time.

- Enabling SSL Support for Claymore 9.7
- Install optimized daemon for increased efficiency
- General security updates and patches

Just updated the pool.

SSL support is now live at port 9999

Also, I installed an optimization that reduces load on template checking. With the patch I'm able to check for new blocks 10 times as fast with less server load (while using the standard monerod, not the pool optimized version).

Enjoy!

BIG UPDATE!

Check out https://new.supportxmr.com

I installed one of the first instances of newly released nodejs-pool. It has many features the old pool software lacked:

- PPLNS
- mining to exchange (payment ID or integrated address)
- miner monitoring and email notifications
- ...

CHECK IT OUT! :)

Once the majority of hashrate is migrated, I will stop the old pool and redirect the ports to the new one. Then I will trigger payout for open balances and set DNS entries (supportxmr.com and pool.supportxmr.com) to the new pool.
Balances on new pool start from scratch.
If you have any questions about the migration - please feel free to ask here, via pool chat or support email

What is this new Login button? Says Iit uses email somehow, but I don't remember submitting any email. Besides, what is a "email inentifier"  (sic, I suppose it's supposed to be 'identifier').

Anyway, does logging in give you any additional features, like heightening the payout threshold?

you can parse your email by setting it in the miner config. the password field is used for this. example: -p rigname:your@email.com

when logged in, you can configure your payout threshold and alert email notifications for stopped rigs

Hi, good time of day!
My miner works for several hours, but so far "Total Due 0.0000000000 XMR".
What's wrong?
Quote from: Miner's Exhaust

It is too early? After what time should I expect receipts?

UPD: I'm sorry, I just had to wait.

Pool down?
Sorry for the late reply. There were a few problems due to heavily increased usage and load a few weeks ago. We have since upgraded the server farm with two additional dedicated pool servers and made some performance improvements to the code.

Currently running at a nice 3MH and ticking like clockwork.

Can't log in to the options anymore either, not with login/pass saved in browswer, or any combination of:

address.paymentid+diff
worker-name:me@myemail.com

that is, address.paymentid still pulls up the dashboard, but loging into the options doesn't work with address.id and email or addr.id+diff/email or worker:email...

Hi people!

Sorry, not really active in BCT anymore. I am daily on pool chat and in IRC on #monero-pools

That being said, we were targeted by DDoS basically the whole week, which lead to a few adjustments in our config. One of them was to introduce a 15 Connection limit on the mining servers per IP. So if you are running multiple miners from the same IP, you might run into a problem. In that case I recommend looking into xmr-node-proxy or xmrig-proxy.

Hmmm rewards seem to be slowing down a lot, guess it's to do with the increased network hashrate?

Hey, man. Thanks for you feedback.

Those dips you're seing is because we were doing maintenance to the pool, as we updated to the new monerod version to get ready for the hardfork, and also to expand from two nodes in Germany to 6 nodes across the globe. The downtimes have been announced in poolchat.

As for the slow blocks... Dude, it's called variance. We are still a smallish pool, which means when we hit a weekend with several 400% and even an 800% block, the rewards for the miners will be smaller than usual. Also, from your screenshots your hashrate is more like 5kh, not 6kh on average. 5kh at current hashrate should give you about 0.09/day. correct. And it will, if you are patient enough to go through the low-luck streaks and wait for the high-luck streaks. The same happens on crypto-pool.fr, but they have 5times the hashrate, so variance is compensated much quicker.

Small pools are for patient people who like to help the network stay decentralized. You come across as impatient and also not as very nice person (implying that I, the pool owner, skim). So by all means, move along. You are not welcome at my pool. I took the liberty of resetting your custom payout threshold to 0.3 XMR so your remaining balance gets paid out with the next payment round.

Cheers
M

No, we just hit the most unlucky streak of blocks in pool history over the past week... Order shall be restored now. It can only get better from here :)

Good evening. I tried to talk you over the chatango app but I think with too much message income it gets too overloaded.I like your pool and the helpful people over there. My problem is just the login to change the payment threshold f.e.. Can you set a custom pw for the id below? It would make things much easier for the future.

Got my first payout yesterday, but the fee was more like 1.2% rather than .6%, any way to check what is going on?

Documenting: first payout:0.2966550432 XMR. Starting at .3 xmr, cant get to that number...
Easy. The balance you see in your dashboard is already the 0.6% pool fee deducted amount. However, as you probably can imagine, at our low 0.6% fees we can not cover the transaction fees for all miners as well. So what we do is at 0.3 Payouts, we charge a 0.008 XMR transaction fee to cover the network TX fee. This fee reduces linearly as your payout threshold increases. If you set your threshold to 4.0 XMR, the transaction fee is waved completely. This way a miner can choose if he wants immediate, low value payouts, or wait a bit and get charged with less/no TX fee.

I apologize for still not having that information on the website. We are currently still reworking the getting-started page.

yikes!,  That should be one of the first parts of "getting started"

.008/.3= 2.6% transaction fee (.008xmr is roughly $.72 on a roughly $27 transaction)
So pool supportxmr is a 3.2% total payout (pool fee plus transaction) at the default .3 xmr payout (at todays price)

So, if I chose a payout of 2 xmr the tx fee is .004?

TX Fee   XMR Payout            TX %
0.0080   0.3                    2.67%
0.0071   0.711                    1.00%
0.0062   1.122                    0.55%
0.0053   1.533                    0.35%
0.0044   1.944                    0.23%
0.0036   2.356                    0.15%
0.0027   2.767                    0.10%
0.0018   3.178                    0.06%

It is not very legitimate to set on the one hand a quite low default treshold for payput of just 0.3 (other pools have 1 XMR or 0.6 XMR) and on the other hand take a 0.08% fee that is nowhere documented on the page. I also was not aware of that and I'Äm not happy with it. Imho this looks like a hidden way to generate profit, even if this might not be the intension behind it.

Does seem a little shady, would take all of 60 seconds to update the first post on this thread

What do other pools charge?

It's a default feature in nodejs-pool to cope with the fee burden and it's been there since we migrated to it. I have not seen a single nodejs-pool who mentions the existence of the payout fee structure so far, yet I am sure all of them use it to some extent.

I'm not very active on BCT because it's full of trolls and shills. I am active daily on #monero-pools on freenode and on our on-site pool chat and everyone who asks about our fee structure is freely getting this information.

I'll update the post here when I get to it. First I want to rework the fees to drop them a bit lower since the network fees went down a bit since the korea surge :)

If it was up to me, I'd set the default and minimum threshold to 2 XMR and be done with it. But miners (especially hobby miners) are always asking for lower thresholds and faster payouts. Also payouts to exchange are on high demand and the fact that those payments cannot be bundled with other payouts to save fees doesn't bother people. They want their small payments and they want them NOW. This flexibility simply comes at a cost. At least on our pool you can chose which is best for you.

The alternative is increasing the pool fee to 2 %, setting payouts to daily to get the maximum bundling effect and keep insisting on a 5 XMR threshold for exchange wallets (currently it is default, but can be set down to 0.3 as well, if one chooses) or disabling them all together. Then all the features and flexibility that nodejs-pool platform offers are basically reverted and we are on the same fee structure as the stoneage node-cn-pools like dwarf, .fr etc... now where's the progress in that?

Yeah, god forbit that pool operators at least cover their expenses while making sure the pool does not go broke from fees. Damn greed.  :(

Hello.
I have few (meyby noob) Q, but I would like to understand :).

1. How is reward from hash calculated? I mining last 3 day. Avg h/s is 280 H/s (24h). I was expecting something around 0.0143, but I only have 0.0117 [20+-% less]. Why is it like that?
Previous post was written something about maitenens, but i don't thing this ist the reason. Can anyone explain it to me please? +How i can calculate result correctly?
(i know cca 300H/s is low, but i only testing before start something bigger)

2. Why has PPLNS better rewards? When block is found, it has 100% value. 100% value is divided between miners. How is possible the system PPLNS get more like 100% value in long time? It is always 100%. Now, after year, two ... So where is catch or from where it's stolen ?

3. I try find difference between payout (Wallet) and payout (Exchange), but unsuccessful. All go to my wallet, so what's the difference?

Again sorry for this easy Q.
And thx for answer :)

This is because of variance. Some days the pool is more lucky in finding blocks, some days less. If we find less blocks (like the past 3 days for example), then of course your rewards will be less than expected. This all evens out over time. You can ask poolbot on the onsite chat (lower left corner) about these statistics. just type "/help" in chat to get started. It can show you the current effort, effort of last n blocks, total pool effort since block 1 etc... Our total average effort is dead on 100% currently. It was 99.2% last week, so we had a few bad days this week.

One of our community members created this Graph http://poolburgers.000webhostapp.com/ which will give you an idea about variance. Check the past 7 days, which had a very similar average pool hashrate (~16MH), but the blocks per day range from 36 (ultra bad day) to 74 (ultra lucky day!)

You don't get better rewards with PPLNS. It's just the distribution is not in favor of pool hoppers who try to jump in shortly after block finds with high hashrates. PPLNS favors miners that are constantly mining.

3. I try find difference between payout (Wallet) and payout (Exchange), but unsuccessful. All go to my wallet, so what's the difference?
The difference is that exchange wallets differentiate the deposits of different people either using paymentIDs or integrated addresses, which require the pool payouts to happen in single transactions instead of bundling 20+ payouts together to save on fees. Your local wallet or mymonero wallet does not use paymentID or integrated address, so they can be bundled. Check the payments tab. It will be quite obvious what I mean.

See german thread, where I answered your question. Kraken "wallet" is an exchange wallet, so per default 5.0 threshold applies.

Hello,
This problem is solved by lot of people (I think).

It's possible mining to adress A and Paid to adress B.id?

Mining(A) =fee> wallet A =fee> B.id
Mining(B.id) =(less)fee> B.id

I can't pay less like 5 (for example urges the situation). Becouse i lose id = lose XMR.

I can't change B becouse for example I do not like B anymore. Or I change it.

Or it's possible Mining (A) and send admin a request for transfer from A to B (inside pool) wiht out fee?

Or it's here some another solution?

thx for answare.

Lunil

Early June it was 5 mh/s....hard to profit without a high performance rig nowadays :'(

Is there a way to force payment if it is above 0.3 but it has not triggered ??

It is not very legitimate to set on the one hand a quite low default treshold for payput of just 0.3 (other pools have 1 XMR or 0.6 XMR) and on the other hand take a 0.08% fee that is nowhere documented on the page. In case someone wonders you just have to sign out, relog and set the threshold again.

Hey,

did you send me an email to support@supportxmr.com? It's hard to keep track all the support requests via different media. Email is the official one, so please use that.

In most cases it's sufficient to log out, log back in and then set it. There's some weird session bug if you are logged in for an extended amount of time.

Same situation
Payouts set to 0.1
Balance 0.19
Two month gone, no payments
Pool is scam

Update
Support answered, says we don't like your address, threshold for it greater, continue mining...

You seem to have a bad memory or trouble understanding english.

edit: also with numbers. The email said 1.9, but it's 0.19. I can offer you a manual payout if that's what you want. No problem - since you've been so super nice to me and only called my pool a scam on reddit and here :)

So I just joined your pool.

Coming from Dwarfpool which has been good but seems to very erratic now. (Maybe just me)

I run three miners and have set them up as follows in EthOS -
Code:
globalminer claymore-xmr
claymore-xmr=flags -pow7 1
claymore-xmr=proxywallet 479j...R2f (simple wallet address)
Code:
rigpool1 d4524e pool.supportxmr.com:7777
rigpool2 d4524e xmr-eu.dwarfpool.com:8100
rigpoolpass1 d4524e rig001:myEmail@protonmail.com
rigpoolpass2 d4524e myEmail@protonmail.com
Code:
rigpool1 907531 pool.supportxmr.com:7777
rigpool2 907531 xmr-eu.dwarfpool.com:8100
rigpoolpass1 907531 rig002:myEmail@protonmail.com
rigpoolpass2 907531 myEmail@protonmail.com
Code:
rigpool1 4d2bec pool.supportxmr.com:7777
rigpool2 4d2bec xmr-eu.dwarfpool.com:8100
rigpoolpass1 4d2bec rig003:myEmail@protonmail.com
rigpoolpass2 4d2bec myEmail@protonmail.com

Looking at Dashboard on the website I am showing only 1 worker, "myEmail@protonmail.com" although the hashrate is showing correctly as the combined total of all three rigs hashrate.

Can anybody help put me straight as to why the workers are not showing up individually?

Thanks

All Sorted,

Had to switch pools run a minestop on the rigs and then switch back and start mining. All three rigs now reporting correctly.

hi, is it known problem that this pool ignores paymentid? Seems like so, even it's described in Getting started.

I've set payment id properly, but payout was sent without it and cryptopia didn't account my deposit : /
Trying to get support from pool..

Upd. Got fast answer, M5M400offered complete problem solution. A sample of excellent support.

Good day to all. I ask to help with one problem. I began to mine on the pool https://supportxmr.com, instead of the password I inserted my mail, on the basin I see the worker with my mail, but I can not enter the account to change the payment threshold. what's wrong with what I'm doing?

I am having trouble getting into options to change my payout to 0.1, I mine through Hive and have tried using my rig name:myemail as password along with my payment address and I get  a "Please check your login details" message . What am I doing wrong?

I must have pissed someone off lately, since this has been the second DDoS attack in the past 24h... our ISP has been mitigating up to 8Gbit of incoming traffic for extended periods of time. We're currently still under attack, but it's under control

For miners this mostly means that stats won't show up correctly and payouts processing being delayed, since In case of a problem like this we are disabling payouts until we have assessed the problem to make sure no wrong payouts go out.

General rule of thumb: If our pool is accepting your shares, they will be counted sooner or later and calculated correctly.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

anybody wondering why the website is not working: We've moved the domain over to www.supportxmr.com while migrating to cloudflare and some browsers do not honor the 301 redirect from the old domain due to cached content.

Wtf are you talking about? The only reason someone doesn't get "his" coins is when they are proven to NOT be HIS coins. (aka confirmed botnettery).

@M5M400
I'm having an issue connecting to supportxmr with an address starting with "8". The pool replies with "invalid address supplied" and does not allow connection.

Story: I generated a secondary address in my wallet to dedicate to mining (using the command address new) and the address generated started with "8". That was refused by supportxmr.

Then I created a new account in the same wallet. Again the address generated started with 8 and was refused by the pool.

Both addresses shall be valid as they were generated with the cli wallet.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
bytiges.

@prvs the default threshold for paymentID is 5.0 xmr. I set your payout threshold to 0.3 now. It will payout in 2 hours.

@fomaidi666 I don't find an account or a balance with that paymentID. did you misstype?

@kabanvasa: the default threshold for paymentID is 5.0 xmr. Since you are a stupid prick calling us scammers after waiting 10 minutes(!) for a support reply in chat, I will leave it to you to figure out how to set your threshold :) Learn to be nice to people.

Yes. You have to set it manually. As stated on the pools website, the DEFAULT is 5 XMR. The MINIMUM is 0.3 XMR. You want the minimum. So set it.

I checked again. You got a response in chat after 5 minutes. but by then you already went to xmr.ru, bitcointalk.org, IRC #monero-pools and probably also reddit to cry SCAM.

This is not very nice behavior.

https://i.imgur.com/cCapuIY.png

EDIT: well, whatever. I registered your user and set your threshold to 0.3. Enjoy. And learn some manners.
