Title: Marketcap higher or lower will be better?
Post by: puremage111 on October 08, 2016, 08:15:18 AM
I don't really understand how marketcap works

Is it

Total Supply * Price = ?

Therefore, a coin with higher / lower marketcap is better?

Is yes, why? If no why?

Thank you!

market cap is a crappy thing for comparing "altcoins" in the real world it is actually a good way of comparing things because the total supply in real world doesn't come out of nowhere and there is something behind it.

but in altcoins since you can change available supply with a single line of code then you can manipulate the market cap to stay up.

In my opinion the coins with  high marketcap are the coins worth investing in it tells us how many funds are coming in and out,but they are are not the only one that can give you assurance that a certain coin is profitable ,some coins are manipulated to reach a high marketcap..
