Title: Can we get a "Domains" Child Board for Auctions?
Post by: monbux on October 08, 2016, 06:37:10 PM
The amount of topics regarding domain auctions is getting ridiculous.  Have a look here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=73.0

Is it possible to create a "General" auctions as well as a "Domains" auction, or something like that?  Perhaps the Domains child board could be expanded, but it would be really nice if we had a way to filter out all those domain auctions.

+1 for the idea, I think it has been already proposed something like that (but now I can't find the thread). It would be really useful to have a child board only for the auction domain threads :).

IIRC it's been proposed a few times, this one was the most recent (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1428231.0).

As I said there, I don't think that it should be split up that specifically. I think it should be split up similar to the Goods section of the forum, mainly Digital Goods and Collectibles. There are very few auctions that don't fit into either of those subtopics, however the majority of Digital Goods would be made up of Auctions (as you suggested).
This would also leave the Auctions forum its self open for any auctions that did not fit into those sub-sections. However, these other Auctions would be few and far between, which may be a problem.
