Title: BFL Ships their First ASIC
Post by: noncecents on April 01, 2013, 04:56:18 PM
Via @BFL_News (Twitter) via the BFL forums shout box:

BFL shipped their first ASIC today to Luke, a developer of mining software which will support Butterfly Labs' mining hardware.

And now pictures:

Quoting:

BFL_Josh (Shoutbox) - Ok folks, Luke is the proud owner of the first BFL Little Single ASIC  off the line as of about an hour and a half ago.  Since he's a paying  customer and also a miner  developer, we've shipped him the first Little  Single since his order  was one of the first ones in the queue from last  year.  More to follow  as soon as we get the revised PCBs  and the rest of the   chips in. So we've officially shipped on March 31st, 2013.  So this is not an April Fools joke.

There are people who would say otherwise and that they haven't shipped anything out.

It's funny how this "shipped" product is still at BLF and not with the customer.

Stability seems somewhat questionable: http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1CdcYVP4T4hjHwt353pEnGHrigeDLvuvZL

It amazes me that noone seems to look at today's date when talking about things like that...

[23:42] <Luke-Jr> a_meteorite: it's a defective board because I was impatient.
[23:43] <a_meteorite> that would explain the HW errors
[23:44] <a_meteorite> did you go to BFL HQ or was it shipped? assuming you can reveal that..
[23:44] <a_meteorite> I think you did go there at one point but I didn't think you stayed/went back
[23:44] <a_meteorite> that was like... 2 weeks ago
[23:49] <jzk> At this point I'm not sure he can even reveal his own existence
[23:54] <Luke-Jr> a_meteorite: I've physically touched it, but I've left it at BFL for the time being.

You can't claim on one hand that an item was shipped, and the on the other hand claim you left it at BFL.

Luke-Jr: has posted pictures of his BFL ASICs.

So.. a company that lied time and again about their products told us they sent something to someone who lies time and again about the origins of his/and other peoples software and its capabilities.

Sure this is no aprils fools joke, but yet another step in this endless scam called "BFL asics".

Excluding USPS, for that's a given, which carrier was kind enough to be open on Easter Sunday late evening to pick up the parcel? I've already eliminated FedEx, DHL and Big Brown, therefore it only leaves out the ones I'm not aware of.

To be clear...

THERE IS NO FUCKING WAY THAT BFL SHIPPED ANYTHING ON EASTER SUNDAY

"since his order  was one of the first ones in the queue from last  year. "

Therefore it was not actually the first.........

So much for 'non preferential' treatment then..........

I would appreciate to see answers from Luke-Jr pertaining to these questions:

Regardless, I am glad too see progress.

Having been an Eligius miner in the past, this is the last person I'd trust to tell me they have a working ASIC.

Is Luke_Jr still in the Butterfly Labs building after they paid to fly him over? Hardly a "delivered" product if it never left the building.

Bitcoin bets should stay valid for not delivering in March!

Maybe excuse for getting out of the promised Seppuku!!!! ;)

Not to mention the thing seems to run at 179w/24.86GH/s not 30w/30Gh/s

Still , better than nothing, hoping they are ready to ship the promised 400 units a day now.

Probably should edit the web site to say you sell a 25GH/s product though.  ::)
