Bad timing for April 1st !!!

Well, I had sent some BTC to Bitcoin-Central and it had not appeared in my account there after a while so I raised a support ticket.
A little while later when I tried to check my account again I got this "Maintenance" message.

Checking back up the blockchain from the link you provided, sure enough I found my transaction destination address.
Let's just hope these big transactions are just BitCoin-Central making safe their wallets.  :-\

Sincerely hope that's the case, 4.3mil is a lot of money.

Surprised there is no announcement on the forum about this.

Me too. I did search but found nothing, so started this thread.

I'm crossing my fingers they sort this out without a significant loss.

[Apr-1 10:30 CET] Bitcoin-Central and Paytunia update: Our customer's bitcoins and euros are safe and will not be affected by the security breach. We have taken the websites off-line for proper investigation.

We thank you for your patience and will provide updates exclusively on this page as they come in. We are committed to resuming service as soon as possible. Expect normal service to resume within 48 hours.
