Title: restore multi-sig account with Electrum Post by: smabtc on October 09, 2016, 09:00:23 PM I have created a multi-sig wallet and I can restore that multi-sig wallet as watch-only in Electrum with the following three xpub:
xpub6C2UjQJG94jDxqyFY1a9G79CXFjyx8YpTDsExmgaz8LtLdg3iSawEiWzgHmMCi4fmXzRT5kRQwN 4NpUfGfZVwoWo2Yf3Xb7X1CjbAE8PXE7 xpub6CLinp3zs3YQYZ2ncnBVMHDdirmEnMosaRZxo5HWsLN5LzSBFrRcMTEJgw9oaxDwzLir2qNLy5R MxHrwzGFjuNWnW8Ks4vxtQVoztZVViR6 xpub6CwL3Jme6ERjmc86pq8Xi5sTnEjKRsbPcYd2Pke5h9GZR4z49ZJwazyefP5jnPZ7nfxkhwhpCWu 53qwDPuRhftxnLowWVy3x5fr1SWGHm2m this is working and I see the test amount of 1.67mBTC. http://d.pr/i/1ejku+ but as soon I want to restore with a xpriv instead of xpub it is not working, I'm not able to restore the same multi-sig wallet. This is the BIP39 mnemonic of the first address (it is from a Trezor): "demand gentle whale idle enjoy lumber enrich board brain spell nature govern smile level cube blouse safe virtual there one estate cloth awesome such" and I calculated then the following xpriv over https://dcpos.github.io/bip39/ xprv9s21ZrQH143K2W8KNNXGM82pHiKAavhf4P3NcLdFGyniMAYmgqxJJkY8mHQ8qmJbJi5DPrMuoHt vK7kH2ShjkuvG81Na7DGPysLcVCbWvpP but this seems not to work. As soon I want to restore over Electrum with the following there inputs: xprv9s21ZrQH143K2W8KNNXGM82pHiKAavhf4P3NcLdFGyniMAYmgqxJJkY8mHQ8qmJbJi5DPrMuoHt vK7kH2ShjkuvG81Na7DGPysLcVCbWvpP xpub6CLinp3zs3YQYZ2ncnBVMHDdirmEnMosaRZxo5HWsLN5LzSBFrRcMTEJgw9oaxDwzLir2qNLy5R MxHrwzGFjuNWnW8Ks4vxtQVoztZVViR6 xpub6CwL3Jme6ERjmc86pq8Xi5sTnEjKRsbPcYd2Pke5h9GZR4z49ZJwazyefP5jnPZ7nfxkhwhpCWu 53qwDPuRhftxnLowWVy3x5fr1SWGHm2m http://d.pr/i/1isKC+ it is not working, I get the alert "No transactions found for this seed". So what I have done wrong in calculating the xprv based on the mnemonic seed? Any help is appreciated and for a step-by-step instruction I'm happy to pay 10USD in BTC to your address. Title: Re: restore multi-sig account with Electrum Post by: achow101 on October 09, 2016, 09:20:14 PM According to the bip39 site, the seed you entered does not map to the same xpub you created the multisig with.
Title: Re: restore multi-sig account with Electrum Post by: ThomasV on October 10, 2016, 03:39:57 AM this xprv:
xprv9s21ZrQH143K2W8KNNXGM82pHiKAavhf4P3NcLdFGyniMAYmgqxJJkY8mHQ8qmJbJi5DPrMuoHt vK7kH2ShjkuvG81Na7DGPysLcVCbWvpP has the following xpub: xpub661MyMwAqRbcEzCnUQ4GiFyYqk9ezPRWRbxyQj2rqKKhDxsvEPGYrYrccZSC5eTh6rYXsKuXQYy B5wV5Xkd4Prcc7Dc5qEcHgSyd4DKxKm9 that's not the xpub you entered Title: Re: restore multi-sig account with Electrum Post by: smabtc on October 10, 2016, 06:46:57 AM this is the flow I calculated the correct xpub address:
1) https://dcpos.github.io/bip39/ 2) BIP39 Mnemonic entered: "demand gentle whale idle enjoy lumber enrich board brain spell nature govern smile level cube blouse safe virtual there one estate cloth awesome such" 3) in the "Derivation Path" I switched to "BIP32" and 4) as BIP32 Derivation Path I used m/48'/0'/0' 5) which get me the correct xpub: xpub6C2UjQJG94jDxqyFY1a9G79CXFjyx8YpTDsExmgaz8LtLdg3iSawEiWzgHmMCi4fmXzRT5kRQwN 4NpUfGfZVwoWo2Yf3Xb7X1CjbAE8PXE7 6) and the BIP32 Extended Key: xprv9y38KtmNJhAvmusk5pSoHvDdFsCdzkDmoNmZTGzgY89wjckPcZo9woQZqDw8xEKtUJ84RY5PbwP 6DQjEysNQQci5pByNrNAY2r28kQWGRAD So with this one it is working :) |
