Satoshi is a common name in Japan, so it would just be natural that it would be used in a Anime type game. I hope she looks like the

girl in that picture.. that would blow a lot of guys minds, if Satoshi turns out to be female. We would also get a lot more female Bitcoin

users, if that was true.  ;D

I just googled the most popular male names in Japan and apparently Satoshi is not in the top 100 list. However one interesting fact is that Hashimoto is in the top 100 family names in Japan. Also Shibashi  ;D Man all these Japanese names allude to some of the most popular alt coins at the moment. Just browse through some of the names and you will have a laugh. Of course I don't mean any disrespect to the Japanese people, it's just that their names sometimes sound funny to outsiders.

I'm about to parrot what everyone else said, Satoshi is actually a very common name in Japan and it is comparable to John or Bill or Bob in the western hemisphere. It's just like a generic name that anyone in Japan would use in place of Bob, John, Bill, etc.

Still kind of a neat coincidence though, even if there isn't anything really represented.

Maybe he just put and type the name of satoshi in his charter in that game. .
But i think many people are using this name since i tried to search it in google image i saw the satoshi is there but i change my keyword into satoshi lives in japan and i saw many people with different face are namely satoshi too..

Just like what others stated, Satoshi is just simply plain and popular name in Japan. Just like the popular names all around the world, Mark,John, etc and other popular names. I am thinking if Satoshi is just hiding in that name and that guy wearing a twitch t-shirt is going to be his real physical appearance, Satoshi would be tough enough.  8)

haha I've noticed that too :D Corpse party is the game, a very good one if you like RPG maker games. But I seriously doubt that is the "Satoshi" we're looking for. :p But hey, who knows, maybe he left clues somewhere.

"Satoshi" is common but it is masculine name not feminine  ;D so better to point to male one in the picture as he is the man behind this cute name  ;D.
 

I wouldnt be surprised if someone makes a game called those Satoshis or even Satoshi Nakamoto, the thing is thats a popular name, and well know from the community, its funny to see satoshi in a game but its present at all places almost.

Oh good, satoshi are the mainstream name in japan, so for me this is just like a jokes more than tell about nice information for us. you may think if satoshi is a rare name in japan. but i always see the word of satoshi in every place on the internet.LOL

In the image I do not know who is Satoshi, the boy or the girl?  Besides, Satoshi is not a special name since it is a Japanese name.  Maybe it is not intentionally named after the developer of bitcoin.  It just gives delight to all of us who were into bitcoins.

Hell, in Japanese culture (and more specifically their animation and video games) we see a ton of the male characters who look quite feminine, and the games sometimes exploit that and pull a twist based off of this knowledge. It wouldn't surprise me if we saw something weird like that.

However, yes, Satoshi is a masculine name.

Satoshi sounds like a vicious japanese soldier to me, who likes young girls and does manga-writing as his part-time job.

Not to be a party pooper here, but if you look at the top left hand position in that screen grab, you would see that it might be a team based game. < Looks like player names > So the discussion between those two players, could just be the player defined name, being incorporated into the game text. < Insert player name >

i love how in these games and cartoon (animations) the characters eyes are always too big. i mean look at it, the eyes are taking 50% of their face and it looks nothing like real asians :D

By looking at the topic i thought maybe there is some information about satoshi ;D I did not know that just his name is found which can be found in many places i guess as everyone already said it is just a common name but nothing else, it would have been a news if there was some connection to the owner of our beloved coin.

It is just a game and the character was named Satoshi.  Is Satoshi the main character?  Well anyways, if the bitcoin was featured or the game somewhat represent or give an introduction to bitcoin then we, bitcoin users, should feel proud.  But as we can see it was a game with a character named Satoshi so there is nothing special with it.

Looks like an RPG, it's probably just the name that guy chose for his character in the game, most RPGs will ask you to name your hero at the start of the game. Still, it's nice to see a Twitch streamer use the name, little connections like that that people make contribute towards reinforcing the Bitcoin bubble. Here we've got a subtle link between the gamer sphere and the crypto sphere, every little bit counts  :)

I still think Satoshi is still a common name in Japan. Seeing that doesn't surprise me. When a conversation connected to Bitcoin happens in that game, that would be interesting. Satoshi is also a code name by the inventor of Bitcoin right?

Satoshi is a very small value of digital currency which you can earn in a game which needs more time to play and if you ever earn it in large number but still has small bitcoin value. You need more of it 'till you have larger bitcoin conversion. The creator of satoshi is a japanese man who is Mr. Satoshi who develop this.

when i see that picture, i think its only a games that using name of Satoshi and i think its not related with bitcoin or maybe related because we don't know about the details so i only think that its an adventure games or romantic games with adult story.

Most Asian countries have quite a few people with this name... Throughout popular belief there are and have been many people claiming to be Satoshi which adds to the influence Bitcoin has.

Only the rarest would know Satoshi personally because he hides in the shadows. So for an exact conclusion the secrecy still to come cannot be easily identified.

Satoshi is a male Japanese name since it is a Japanese name it could mean that the image has no relevance to the alleged creator of bitcoin. But since the name is pretty uncommon as mentioned ( not even top 100 male Japanese names) it is possible that the creator(s) of the game possibly have some bitcoin knowledge and decided to enter his name for fun. I think that it was a random find though and has no relevance.

You are probably right with your observation. It would be better though if that game can also include some knowledge about Bitcoin...that would be great. Anyway, good thing it is not Sushi lol. Japanese culture is really making a good comeback this decade...including Pokemon and other creatures of the imagination.

Hahaha when I opened up the post, I thought it was where there's A game and you earn satoshi's. Op this Is not the work of satoshi for sure. It's a general word. Or maybe a fan among us could have done this to honor satoshi, who so far has choose to be hidden. But I agree with second comments if she was a grill this cute, 99% increase in guys for sure and approx 50-60 in girls.

As i observe this Satoshi name could really possible to be used on anything since its a surname or a name. Either both and we all know that we do have simmilar names all over the globe if this satoshi word do exist on a game then i dont think its relevant or connected to the bitcoin developer named satoshi. Possibilities of this name could be used is always there. We arent sure if its connected or not.

I don't really think that Satoshi is a very common name. But there are definitely people in Japan that have the name Satoshi. There is no way to tell if this is based off the man/woman/other who made Bitcoin.

Did a quick google search for you, apparently satoshi means “clear thinking, quick witted, wise”. That would explain why the creator of bitcoin is called satoshi.

What the hell? Theres so many  Satoshi around the world. Specialy in Japan. Satoshi is very common name there. So why surprised if you see this name on that game? I remember the person who is allegedly Satoshi Nakamoto. Yes, he is Satoshi Nakamoto but he is not the creator of bitcoin. Satoshi Nakamoto is just a pseudo name. Because he doesnt want to chase by government.

Looks like an interesting game. I would want to play it if it's about Bitcoins, but sadly I think the name is just a coincidence. The girl is cute tho.
