Who else is From Eastern Africa in this Firum , we can lobby for Swahili sub forum - No doubt Bitcoins/Cryptocurrencies is the future in finance- let us be on the front line to educate our people. Here in Kenya there was an inter-border Bitcoins trading but it was closed down by one of the biggest Control of mobile money.

Can anyone share some knowledge of bitcoin activity in Nairobi and other parts of Kenya. I'm looking for info on both face-to-face cash trading and online exchanges that operate in Kenya. What is the availability of BTC in Kenya, and what is legal status and government attitude, for or against? Kenya is a dynamic, growing economy right now, surely there must be some bitcoin activity there.
