hi guys where you invest, maybe I can follow you? :-\

Well it's up to you what is your preferred investment. Preferences, knowledge, own views etc. about the investment is a must. If you will follow someone's investment make sure you put some time learning and studying all things circulating around that investment including possible outputs and risks.

In my case, I currently have some money on trades and playing with the market. In real world, I have also some.

Anyways I think this is not the appropriate section of this forum about this query.

This is off-topic and you should move this to the right section.

This section is for "Technical discussion about Satoshi's Bitcoin client and the Bitcoin network in general. No third-party sites/clients, bug reports that do not require much discussion (use github), or support requests."

Yes, you had said that at first.  The " Development & Technical Discussion" is not the section for it though.

You can find many types of investments which accept Bitcoin, some of them are risky, and some with small risk, I think there is no investment without risk.
Firstly you can invest in HYIP sites, these sites give high profit amount, but they are too risky.
You can also invest in ICOs coins which are better than HYIP and preferable for me.
Note: the right section for this post is service discussion.

There are several categories of investments.

1. Casino Investments,  where you are lending your money which is used as bankroll for gambling sites. You can do it on sites such:

2. You can invest in lending services: https://btcjam.com (https://btcjam.com) or https://loanbase.com (https://loanbase.com)

3. You can purchase mining contacts: https://www.hashnest.com (https://www.hashnest.com)

4. Or you can find yourself a nice ICO and try to get rich by supporting it.

DMD Diamond PoS coins, 25% annual interest rate. I have been with them for almost 18 months, it has brought me nothing but profits, highly recommended. Also, pls make sure always to differentiate your investment into several less risky venture. Do not put your money in the same basket.

The majority of the investments said above contains risks, some even very high risks. The best investment you can make for yourself, is to save your bitcoins for the future.

You have to be patient for this but your patience will be rewarded at that time because bitcoin price will be higher than now. Price of bitcoin is going up gradually and if it continues like this we may even see more than 800 or 900 USD price by new year eve maybe.

have a look at bitcoin casino and dice sites bankroll investment options, some of the most established sites offer pretty good returns
thats if they make profit :)
but usually they do,so it is a good alternative to investing in some shady HYIP or bitcoin doublers
if you are good at trading and willing to take a risk-invest in POS trading
you can search for the corresponding topics on this forum and read yourself, good luck with your investment

hi guys where you invest, maybe I can follow you? :-\

1) you can invest in bitcoin casinos/gambling sites bankroll and share in the profit
2) you can invest in a good GPU or even if you have more money some mining equipment and start mining preferably altcoins
3) stay away from cloud mining
4) stay away from HYIP and Ponzi and any other shady investment plans out there
5) you can also start trading bitcoin-fiat or altcoin-bitcoin/fiat
6) you can also start lending bitcoin

I am investing in bitcoin mixers as a shareholder currently.

which mixer is that?
the only legit mixer that i know is bitmixer and they no longer accept investment. besides these sites accept only very large amounts not 1-2BTC

I have tried some of different methods and invested in some of them too. but every time I do this I end up unhappy and some times even regretting what I did.

in the end of it all, I am always coming back to trading instead of any other method of investment. simply because it is up to me to decide and make best plans to be successful and I don't have to be always afraid that someone is going to run away with my money.

I invest in good ICOs and in good altcoins that can give good returns in future. Be sure to hold on it and add when the price corrects. Take time to see if the are achieving their objective laid out in the road map and if not, the reasons given are good enough.
You can also invest in mining contracts such as hashflare, hashnest and genesis.
You can then trade in altcoins.
You can give bitcoin to loan.

that's right but for correction you're only saying it's too risky (even it's enough to warn people but some are not ) so just add "it's strongly not encouraged" sentences then it will be fine,as you know in this forum people are too sensitive if it's about HYIP or Ponzi because these two thing already proved bad

Just don't believe it to fast sometimes they attracting people to invest or put money / deposited on that investment website to make money again it's more like pyramid learn trading instead of wasting bitcoin.

I have never invested in HYIP, Pyramid schemes, cloud mining, or any kind of "double-your-money=fast" schemes.
Never have.Never will. Don't ever just 'follow' anyone recommending you such options.

I have found that investing in gambling casinos are quite good, though it's mainly for long-term investment but the returns are okay and it's fairly safe as long as you've chosen a good casino. I would recommend crypto-games.net.

Another way that I have seen recently where to invest is through ICO which I consider trending for now.

This is a good question to actually satisfy a curiosity not only you, but to others as well, even me myself will be wanting to know the right or best way to put some money to generate passive income when I do gather enough for that purpose, despite the fact I know what works for A might not necessarily works for B and also that no investment is totally risk free in addition to the fact that a good investment today might turn bad the following day but its a risk I'm willing to take.

Trading. While its not exactly an investment, but whenever I had a lot of money say over 2-3K$, I tend to trade them on sites like localbitcoins. It will require some time and effort, but its a good way to put any of your money to good use.

Invest in Bitcoins. Buy BTCs with your own money, in my opinion this is the best investiment. You just need to buy the BTCs and let it on your wallet for some time. Who did it last year made a big profit! And who invested on HYIP Ponzi sites lost a precious money... So, better to don't risk your money in unknown sites over the internet. Be attention, the best investiment is to don't invest.

You must be right, but every bitcoiner wants to grow their bitcoins, that is the reason after investing into bitcoins they are looking for some other investment opportunities. Yes, by investing bitcoin you might get double the benefits, but we cannot ignore the risks involved with that. No risk, no better benefits. But, risks must be within calculated level.

good choice mate but as of now while you are trying to raise your funds much better to look for a niche which cater crypto so it would not hard for you to get more visitors i'm also looking for this kind of investment but right now im busy doing my alt trading looking for more info about how this market moves and how it will be more profitable for me, just needed more research and more serious chase about some alts that i'm investing right now to know where to enter and exit properly.

Avoid HYIP, pyramids, ponzi schemes and don't feed scamers. Almost all times when I invested into such sites I only lost money. Also, avoid cloud mining, it's same ponzi schemes.
I'm rarely investing bitcoins, but when I'm investing, I'm investing into trading.
IMO, safest type of investing is buying bitcoins and holding it. Offcourse, it gives very small profit, but there are no risk.

Personally I like small streams of income but differentiated ones. This is why i always divide my investments into several, up to 10 different projects and then shuffle money between them. Do not keep all your money in the same basket, much safer this way.

Take a look at some PoS coins, i really like DMD Diamond, 25% annual interest, it s been around for over 3 years.

Please stay away from any investing scheme. They are all scam. You will lose your money. The best way to invest right now is to buy bitcoin, hold it in your wallet, wait for it price to go up and then sell it. Bitcoin's price is slowly increasing day by day so you might earn some profit at the end of 2016.

Wait, wait wait. Investing your bitcoin is not always a scam. In fact most of scam investment options can be spotted pretty easily.
Especially now when we don't have to worry about cloud mining - since it is, unfortunately, proven that every new service of that type is a Ponzi.

As you said position trading can be profitable, but you can boost your BTC amount by additional small investments - I mentioned them in my previous post in this thread.

People are dragged into ICO investing because they want to  make quick buck, but how long will it take before overall quality of ICOs will be lowered?

We are not getting something useful we are getting quick over hyped pump&dump projects.

ICO is something to invest and every investment has it's own risk so if someone doesn't like this some does.
I'm not says that it is guaranteed that we will have profit if we invest there but the recent trending means that something is happening there.
ICO is risky too if you don't research about that coin/company where you invest in.

Yeah it could be the riskier one but i think this is the ideal one to invest with since a high possibilities for us to earn huge profit if we invest on potential one, unlike those hyip investment and other that give us unsured earnings and very high possibilities that we can get scam by them, and ICO coin investment is good if you'd choose the coin who's got high potential value when it hit to the market.

ICO is something to invest and every investment has it's own risk so if someone doesn't like this some does.
I'm not says that it is guaranteed that we will have profit if we invest there but the recent trending means that something is happening there.
ICO is risky too if you don't research about that coin/company where you invest in.
yup proper research will made you invest more knowing that the project have a good back up and everything will turn to success.

I don't exactly understand what you guys mean when saying 'investing', but I'm going to assume you're talking about putting money in a website (funding). So I never did this and I think it's better to create your own gambling or trading website instead, and you can make a good profit out of them.

ICO coins are good investment as I can watch, many ICOs coins reached ×5 and ×10 of its price in short time, but there were failed ICO as well, it is not a gambling game, but it is a test for your choices, you can find many ongoing ICOs now, but you should choose wisely and follow other experienced members.

I think right now due to so many coins and we people being not so technical, the best place to invest is lend others while taking collateral first. This way you can earn really good profits, because from what I see in this forum, people are paying almost 20-40% interest in a week which to me at least seems more than good.

hi guys where you invest, maybe I can follow you? :-\

I "invest" many times in ETH and then I sell them (meaning that I'm trading them), but not always you can generate profit.
Another way that I have seen recently where to invest is through ICO which I consider trending for now.
Just because ICO is a trend doesn't mean it is something we should do or support. Mainly because it will only create more instability in the field of altcoins without really creating something useful.

People are dragged into ICO investing because they want to  make quick buck, but how long will it take before overall quality of ICOs will be lowered?

how to choose ico selling is good dev coin
good team, and listing in exchange can take profit
iam not undestand is good ico coin, is another can much profit example pesobit ico price only 340 satoshi after one month in ico end price until reach 10k satoshi
but sometime buy ico is price is down and lost or dev run

For investments is very important not to keep all eggs in one basket. So if something goes wrong to prevent yourself from big losses. Divide your investing portfolio in smaller parts and invest in altcoins (ETH), in shares, maybe some lending (poloniex or similar) and you can start with smaller amounts.

well, I mostly invest in alt coins like recently I did in ICONOMI coins and then just wait for the pump and then sell them, this gives me profit and hence my bankroll increases. though sometimes we give loss too, but its a worth to consider option, othar than this maybe invest in gambling site's bankroll.

Other than saving your coins (investing) for a better future you can try altcoins. When everybody was saying that Monero will go up I was not right to not follow that advice and I regret not doing it back then. Look at the Monero price right now, it has tripled , now is more than 0.01 btc and when the advice was given it was 0.0028 btc. This is one of the decisions I regret more in my experience in bitcoin and specifically here in the forum as many people were saying it will go up yet I didn't believe them and thought was smarter than them.

Well I should listen to next advice regarding altcoins from those same users. So investing in altcoins maybe a wise idea, you only have to choose the right altcoins.

I didnt invest any where right now because of two reason...
1.I dont find any trustable and profitable schemes where i can invest my bitcoins or even fiat money.
2.Main reason is that i have a gambling habit and because of the almost all my earnings are lost in the gambling, therefore not able to collect and plan about investements.

Honestly gambling is not a nice habit it can affect your investment if you are addicted in gambling if you really to have a good result in investment you should have no gambling involve unless if you are investing to your own gambling casino..
Not always that you can make a good profit in investing many people are experience of loses in the first time until they are succeed..

I know as a lender in this forum provides a pretty good advantage but there are also some problems that arise as use bitcointalk account as collateral
one hacker who stole the account and use it as collateral if not careful can harm themselves. while I prefer the ICO as an investment choose altcoin potential and have a lot of community.

For me bitcoin is first and best choice investment for long time (more than 5 years). Besides bitcoin i also save some altcoin like etherium, monero, dash and doge. The precentage is 70% for bitcoin and 30% for altcoin.

Bitcoin is very good investment if you have patience to wait for its upward thrends but also it's so dangerous if the price suddenly go down for such certain instance and if you invest on this coin surely you need to monitor the price since bitcoin is not stable and the movement of it is so fast that we can't imagine, but i don't invest on bitcoin for now since i am not sure for his movements at this moment,

ICO's is better to invest with but we should select those devs who have great vision and many project development for his coin.

Primarily people here are investing into bitcoins after that to grow their bitcoins they are planning up and searching for other opportunities. I believe that you are up to one stage as of now. Holding and saving bitcoin must be safest investment. Next stage would be high risk involved and needs careful analysis to find out an opportunity. Personally, I too want to stay within stage one itself.

Yes, instead of investing into others business, starting any service related business is always good in my opinion too. Service businesses do not require very big capital initially. Other than this, trading bitcoin against fiat or alt coins also good to do similar to investing. But, we must need good knowledge on trading to make profits.

you say two contradictory things, you say investing in websites is not good and then advertise a website for investment :D

it is never good and there is no exception.

if you are too interested in ethereum or altcoins in general you start trading them because it means everything would be in your own control and you would be only risking your money being on an exchange nothing else.

On my own small business in our place, on buying bitcoins again, on myself (my health, of course), local stock markets and some few altcoins. So far, they are performing well, actually more than what I expected. Right now, I'm contented on the diversity of my investments on these things. The most part of my investment goes to bitcoins, next to myself, next is my small business (it's actually a store of general goods), and the rest goes to stock markets and some altcoins. If in case one fails, I still have other investments to rely upon.

I want to start to invest in a business(es) that are handled by other people.
So I would be considered an investor in that business or even a business partner. But one that is not required to do anything with the ins and outs of the business, just have to produce the money for the initial investment to have it acquired by the owner. Then it should take off. Well that is what we would like for it to do. :D

I'm thinking to invest on real projects and being one of the shareholders because I believe it should worth if the company/idea is good.
ICOs are good too but it is for a short period of time where people try with all their power to pump and dump the price.

So probably I would shift into mining of some potential alt coins like ETH. And while I am into mining of ETH, I'm also into holding.

This is what I am waiting for a great result and I think I'm near to it because of the pumping that is happening right now.

You are saying that the best way to invest is with gambling site's dice game and in the end you will say that the house always win, so why gamble anymore if you already know that you will just lose in the end. Joining some ICO's are also good type of investments but you must be cautious also with it because there are some ico's that turns to be scams.

There are two different things : adding bitcoins in gambling bankroll to gamble and investing into gambling business.

First one is for gamblers, full of risks involved and the second one is for investors still risks are there but with current gambling business model, you will get more chances to earn.

If you are aware of gambling house will win always then why not just join with gambling houses to earn better.

I'm thinking to invest on real projects and being one of the shareholders because I believe it should worth if the company/idea is good.
ICOs are good too but it is for a short period of time where people try with all their power to pump and dump the price.
What about the short period of ico? I just think if the ethereum are already run for 2 years and what about that....  it's not for the serious dev, and like vitalik are one of them.... we just need for searching the serious dev are wanna for developing their project for a long term.

Mostly the ico are short but it depends in which phase you enter, an ico can last a month or two maximum depending on the project.
The bitcoin price is rising in the recent days so I think holding bitcoin for a longer period of time still worth.

You can invest it in two things, First is in bitcoin, Buy a decent amount of bitcoin too keep and wait for the price to increase.
Second is pick some promising altcoins and start trading. The buy low sell high strategy works for both of them.

What you should avoid is the HYIP/Ponzi/Pyramid schemes.  Anything that is too good to be true is not TRUE!

I think where one invests is definitely affected by how much money they have. When I would have less than 50$, I'd generally invest my money into sports betting, as I knew what to bet on and how to bet. However, if you have money in the 1000's, then you should invest in more stable altcoins, or just stick to bitcoin, as it is an investment in itself. The area between 100 - 1000$ is a bit of a gray area for me. You might be better off investing in new altcoins and waiting the updates out.

Because an incident already happened for an ICO that turned to be scam, so you should be cautious with it also.

Just learn to read and know the road map for each coins that gives you interest to invest your bitcoin.

Yeah, it all is something that is worth in the estimate. Because certainly we want investment in benefit, but before thinking about profit then we should look for investments that will give it all. Without thinking it all then we'll do a gambling or gaming system. So, treat it with as best as possible so that the results obtained did not give bad impression to us

Investments in gambling sites as in feeding their bankroll is a bad and risky way.

It's true that in most cases the house always win in the long run, but have you thought of the possibility of the site in question making big losses in a certain period?

At some point each gambling site will face heavy losses due to whale gamblers using their massive stashes to dry out the bankroll of that site.

What if exactly that will be what is happening after you having invested your coins into their bankroll? Have you thought of that scenario? Or were you only looking at the positive aspects?

Tbh its not only thing i wrote in my post, but ok.

Interesting theory. But more likely big player will lose money than make big profit, and lots of gambling sites have max win limit to avoid scenarios like that. Even if you invest and lose money because big player, in long run casino should win.
I didn't say its not risky, every investment is risky, trading is risky, driving car is risky. If you want to invest safe go to bank and invest, you should get 1% yearly, oh, wait, even that is risky because of inflation, so there is chance to lose money. Invest in funds but hey you can lose there too. Maybe nakamoto find his private key and sell all bitcoins he owns and drop bitcoin price to 1$.
If you want to invest in anything you have to take certain risk.

So, ill repeat myself again, don't put all eggs in the same basket.

Because everytime I see some ICO going on what I know is just buy if there is a huge amount invested and don't invest if not many people are buying. But I think that's not the proper way to determine its worth, right ?

For ICO it is not easy to know if they will live long but we have already legit altcoin out there like on the top 20 altcoin in coinmarket cap if you have them you can hold it for a long time and make profit for every price increase depends how you manage your trading strategy and margin..

It's also my question that where I can invest?

i think you can invest in market exchanges by buying some bitcoin in there and you can withdraw it into your offline bitcoin wallet like pc, android phone bitcoin wallet and hold it until you decide that there are a good price for you to sell your bitcoin so you can make money. with doing this every time then you can get big profit in the end.

Since you are new please note the first advice : keep yourself away from HYIP and such sites. Secondly see you are new so won't be having any experience in trading of altcoins. So for you, I suggest to invest in gambling sites like bitdice and moneypot. You will easily earn some nice profits based on your investment amount.

Currently have most of my investment in shares. Just started recently and has been playing out well so far. Got some money into the GoPro shares, before GP5 and Karma came out. Sold it at a 7% profit(month), then shorted the hell out of it because it didn't get a good welcome and sold it at about 12.7$ per share(25% profit). I bought some again when price went to 10.5, and would advice investing in it as well if it ever drops again.

If lost, I would think I had loss in investment.

Yes, holding patiently without selling them by getting tempted is itself a investment. I have had 1 bitcoins I remember when price was around 200$ and I kept myself cool and saved them, now some months back I sold them and earned 3 x profit on my investment !

profit should be a common thing and you can make it every day (or at least every short interval) if you bought bitcoin one time and dumped it one time then it really is not a profit because unless you did this with a very large amount of bitcoin a 3x profit on lets say couple of bitcoin means still a small amount of profit.

from $200 to $600 there were numerous occasions where you could have sold and bought back again for even more profit.
for example the halving hype which pushed price to $780 and then drop
the recent rise to $740ish and then drop

you can keep majority of your coins and use these drops to buy even more.

I invest in myself, it`s better then anything else. With scam online mining sites, ponzi servicees, fake coins that are just here to take money from us, I believe that best way is to invest in myself and in my luck in gambling. There is many games I like, and I will better roll my money on some of that games then to give it to something imaginative. Here I know my odds, my possibilities, my skills. I lose, but I win more I think and its something I`m good in it.
Also investing in casino sites is good, I try something but I don`t think I invested enough money to have some better profit. When I earn something more, that will be my next step.

I propose you to invest "for free" in my U2cloudmining site.
You are sure not to lose because all is for free...so you can only earn...

if you are a little active you will earning...earning...earning...you can believe me.
I have just sent 10000 satoshi at a member who was active and now it is inactive and will certainly earn often 10000 satoshi even if he remain inactive.
Why?
Because he has invested (for free) in vipshares.

But you can chose your own free strategy among 5 possibilities.
You can as well trade (once you have some) captcha-shares and com-chares.

My site is now paying for over one year...and I believe has till nice years in front...

I do also invest in ICO's but not all time, I usually check the road map of that coin before I trust them my bitcoins. And while my other bitcoins are being hold, I am doing trading also alone and as of now I am thinking if I will invest into bankroll casino's. Because that is on the hype and many people are investing their already.

yeah right it is better to invest your money or bitcoin into altcoin its more less risk than cloud mining site or investment site that giving promises and running soon and you can not recover it because there is no charge back in bitcoin.. unless if you are invest using paypal.

Investing on ICO could be a good idea to earn bitcoin , lately of my fellow mate here and in facebook told me that he invested on ICO which Pesobit , he said that he invested around $80 dollars and after that altcoin released on the market he tripled the money that he invested before .

Wow that's amazing profit that your friend on facebook got by simply investing with Pesobit. I hope that I also invested to that alt coin, how's pesobit is going to now? Is it still worth it if we will invest into that alt coin because it seems that $80 turned to $240 easily after that ICO. I hope it is still not too late for us to invest with it.

Amazing truly,  but remember not all ico's are good because some of them are scam and devs are hiding and covering up so there scam will not be revealed, just invest only in big projects and you must do some great research before putting up some money,  and also my advice for ICO is not to invest and just became a bounty hunter to earn free profits,

I bought some again when price went to 10.5, and would advice investing in it as well if it ever drops again.

what is investment in share
what is gopro shares
investment MLM, cloud mining,HYIP ponzy site or what about gopro shares

Otherwise it can be collapse before release the coin, means turn into scam or after few hours coin released, the price freefall to down level which it just make a profit for the developer/man-inside, and you just earn dust left.

A similar incidents recently happened with AllSafe altcoin. They had ICO on livecoin exchange, before they are enabling deposit/withdrawal on the exchange their ICO price was collapsed. There were many complaints against them on their announcement topic, still dev not cared to reply. And yesterday they suddenly applied and got listed on yobit too.

I invest in stocks, forex and indices on the website I am promoting in my signature.
Also, I am buying several altcoins while prices are still low...
