how much will you pay for a design?

While the customer's first impression of the design is important.

which one do you think is the best?

including  forum, game,exchange,list sites

Design is important, it attracts people, it is something that makes your first impression about something and if you are having your business and making some products this is one of key facts for success.
So, I would pay even larger sum for good and atractive design to promote something but I don't think that design in Bitcoin world is something that people pay much attention to.

I think price depends upon the work i want from designer. As there is high competition between freelancing web designer you can get few cheap designers but they may delay and also may not deliver work within deadline. In current date, you have to have responsive, cross platform supported template and also with very unique and nice design which can load in really small time. So this may require lots of work from web designer and i think for simple non-custom template you can pay $50 for integration only but for custom design price may go upto $500 or even more.

If want the designer to be use in bitcoin site or to design a signature or things means you contact jaycee. Recently he is doing most of the designs in the most of the work in the forum.

i think it is depends on how skillful the designer is. If he is a professional one, the price will be much higher than usual. If he is just a amateur, the price will be lower. And it is also depends on what you want to design too

Design what? If you talking about website design,can you please show us your previous work?

This question is open ended. It absolutely depends on what kind or standards of design do you need and who is designing. There used to be a Designer on the forum Bitcrea, who did the Primedice landing page, and I am sure he would have charged a lot for it, and his logos costed close to 0.8 btc, depending on the specifications.

So if you want a good logo design for instance, be ready to shell out anything upto 1 btc.

This is a horribly vague question...what's the reason for this topic? Just random posts for referrals to your site? Or are you genuinely interested in finding a designer for your site (which seems to lack any design)?  No offence by the way

Design really doesn't have THAT much importance, the main factor is how functional/easy/fun/rewarding/etc. the service is.  Look at bitcoin - hardly any eye-catching design.  What makes bitcoin popular is how people can use it, easily, to overcome countless barriers (and make some money playing the trading/holding game!).

I would worry less about design, and more about usability :)

As an visitor i really love the designs of the website that i visit.
The design of a website is important in my opinion because it really affects how quickly we as visitors can find what we are looking for and navigate the whole of site. Like dice site i prefer to play on site when it easy to navigate and catching my eye, after that maybe security and popullarity, yeah design still the one.
About the price very variate even you can find cheap service let say fiverr or 99designs.

I want to talk about the marketing materials which include all kinds of designs (banner, signature, logo), these materials became very effective and important in any campaign whether you advertise in a forum or on blogs or social media, they are the base to start any campaign or advertising plan, therefore I won't be surprised if the designer demand high price, for me, I can high amount for it like 0.5BTC.

It depends on the website, for simple static website, $5 - $10 price tag is the normal rate nowadays, for a full PHP website design ussually the rate is $50 upto $500 depends on how many pages are needs to be design and the complexity of the job
