So guys, how are you earning your Bitcoins, through mining hardware, or satoshi digging crap?
I am making them through a  bit different way of the "usual mining" I am actually "working" or call it whatever you want on a site called Steemit, which is mostly about writing articles. I am earning STD (steem dollars) within each article, and then I process the redeeming to bitcoins.
But this is not passive, and not guaranteed cuz there are days that I am not earning anything.. It all depends on "voting power" - who votes for you. Oh forgot to say votes are important because that's what earns your steem dollars.  Steem dollars can easily be exchanged for bitcoins. The process takes 5-10 minutes.

So, what about you guys? What's your "passive income", how are you mining bitcoins?

Isn't there a preliminary stage though? Something like:

Post something on Steemit -> Get upvoted some Steem crypto -> Convert Steem to Steem Dollars -> Convert Steem Dollars to BTC

.....where the Steem > Steem Dollars stage takes several weeks?

Ugh no of course.. After you submit a post, there's a period of 24 hours to generate any income and you automatically get paid the amount that you made from that post onto your steemit account, and then you can transfer to bitcoins or any cryptocurrency.

Let's say I publish an article on 13/11/2016 in 8:00PM
The earning availability from that post will end on 14/11/2016 8:00PM and you will get paid in steem dollars automatically what you made from that post.

Ah, so it takes 24 hours and 10 minutes to convert Steem to BTC? That's what you mean, right?

At the moment I'm only earning Bitcoins from the signature campaign. It is not very much but is stil something. But I'm looking for other ways how to eaen some coins so your way also sounds interesting. Trading is another good way for earning Bitcoins but at the moment don't have the funds for this.

Graphic design works when i have opportunity, most of my earning come from tasks and dice. maybe from sig campaign in a near future.

i am mainly doing two things to earn bitcoin, the one that you see here is participating in a signature campaign and getting paid for it.

and the other one which is better and you don't see here is trading. and for that i mainly trade different altcoins for making more bitcoin.

I am a hodler as my handle here also suggests, so that's from time to time my way of generating Bitcoins by securing profits.

Another way is earning some coins through the signature campaign I am currently enrolled in. And that's it.

I am not generating bitcoin rather i am earning it from signature campaign at this forum and through betting in bitcoin betting sites. Luckily i am winning good amount in betting and i am addicted now with betting. But i know this not the best option to earn bitcoin.

For me right now still looking for a good source to generate more bitcoins and only signature campaign is giving me good bitcoin.. but i hope that there is a site that can give many jobs and task.. just like bitfortips but i really dont know about that site i tried it but never earn.. or its just fake one..

The most common way i am earning bitcoins right now is signature campaigns and i am earning close to 0.1btc per month with it,which is not huge but still good enough.I am also doing some trading with bitcoins but only little bit without taking any risks to earning are pretty low there as well,but i hope with time it will increase.

Steemit is 100% forced content, there is nothing genuine in there like every single article is created for the sole purpose of being monetized. Also the begging for upvotes in the comments section is just disgusting. I don't want to be the party pooper but there is nothing more you could find on Steemit that hasn't been already posted on Reddit for example. Steemit is run by the cartel of high-voting power whales and everyone else is churning out shitty content hoping for them to click the 'upvote button'  ;D

Bitcoin is money.  I get it the same way I get any other money:

I have a job.  I provide a service, and I get paid for that.

My employer prefers to pay me in the local currency so, just like I would if I wanted any currency other than the local currency, I exchange some of that local currency for bitcoins.

I'm converting a percentage of my monthly salary to bitcoin to maintain a steady stream of new bitcoins and it acts as investment for later.

Next to that, the signature campaign earns a nice amount every month.

I wish the price was still a bit lower so my monthly buying would net me more bitcoin, but can't complain with the price other than that!

Most of my Bitcoin earnings come from altcoin trading I am not earning much but still it's a decent extra income for me,other sources are signature campaign and my faucet referral commissions many people seem to underestimate them but I am satisfied a lot from both,the first cause I am getting paid for doing something I enjoy and the second cause it is almost passive.

I am generating bitcoins through trading altcoins. I believe that this is the best way for me to earn because I already have the background and idea of how trading works and I already have the strategy. Since I have a day job, trading is ideal for me because I will just have to set up my target price then I will just have to wait for it to be hit so I don't need to watch it the whole time. It's risky because the price is unpredictable and it's possible that the target price would be hit in just minutes or it might take days or weeks. My target profit is not that big because I prefer day trading if possible because if I wanted a bigger profit then it might not be hit within the day.

I earn Bitcoin mainly from my signature, as you see I am senior member in Betcoin.ag campaign, also I have twitter account with more than 2400 followers, sometimes I invest my profits in ICO or I trade with them if I found good opportunity, recently I made reasonable amount of Bitcoin by trading Pesobit.

Not everyone can write articles worth something, so they revert back to what they know. Trading in Cryto currency works for some, and

the more technical inclined people, would go for the mining and development. The majority use Signature campaigns and faucets to

generate some sort of income. You have to remember, everyone are not the same... $10 US, are loads of money for someone that are

living in a 3rd world country. Some people look down at these so-called bottom feeders, but I admire them.  ;)  

My way is probably the simplest anyone can think of in the sense that since I can't code neither can I do graphics nor build website, neither have I mastered trading then I revert to the basic way of earning Bitcoin which include among others as follows:

1. Claiming faucets although annoying and time wasting
2. Signature campaign which I am doing already
3. Claim bounties for campaigns
4. Little gambling because I dont want to lose since its hard to come by bitcoin these days

I'd love to get into mining but I can't forget a way to make it work, to make a profit on it. Maybe you guys have more to invest in it or live in a cooler climate (to save on cooling costs, etc.)

The easiest way, by far, has to be to buy coin with whatever fiat you earn for your regular day work - right?

I don't generating bitcoins, I earn it. I never tried to mine bitcoins, because it requires big investments and in mostly cases it's not profitable. I earning bitcoins from these sources:
I'm still using faucets. Earnings are low, but it's better than nothing. I'm also earning commission from referrals
As mostly on bitcointalk, I earn bitcoins from signature campaign. Forme it's fun and easy way to get bitcoins. What can be better, than get money for doing what you like to do.
Sports betting. I'm not betting very serious. I only betting on my favourite leagues and teams.
Trading. I don't get big income from trading, because I don't have good knowledge. Mostly I'm trading bitcoins and few popular altcoins.
Sometimes I'm participating in new altcoins giveaways or contests. But mostly getting only small amounts.
Bitcoin is my hobby, I'm not looking into it like to money making machine, but it's fun to get money from what I like to do.

I make videos and write articles/reviews for which I get paid sometimes in bitcoins else in my local currency which I exchange for bitcoins. This may not earn me a lot but it's satisfactory as I do it in my free time. I'm not sure about buying a miner as my electricity bill would be too high to earn any profit.

Signture campaign and trading is my source right now to generate bitcoins.. and there is still no other ways to generate bitcoin.. looking for other methods or source where.. trying to go altcoin section like other said do bounties that can help you to have some altcoin and sell them in the right time..

Hmm. I'm currently mostly getting my bitcoins by signature campaigns (it's not much but still very good pay for little work),

some bits of investments (mostly on gambling sites.) , working with a casino , and when I have time (or not feeling too lazy)

I also write articles for bitcoin (will definitely write more this month!). I also used to trade, but haven't done much of trading these past months.

i make bitcoin from sig campaigns and from mining profitable coins.  over the last week i have mad about 3 bitcoin mining zcoin.  it has been class, i got in really early and mined a bunch on my cpu. 

No i don't mining bitcoin, i am not interested yet about mining. Because in my mindsets mining is not secure for my invest money. But i have some money in alt coin that I check seldomly ( i was created the stop-limit before i left it ) usually, i'll wait the price growing up and my coin sold in that stop-limit order.

If you have a job then you can buy bitcoin whenever you need at different exchange rate.
I haven't seen any good method that let you make passive income without hard working for a long time.
Mostly I generate by trading and investing on things, altcoins like ETH etc.

Currently, my only ways to generate Bitcoin is to do some freelancing work, work on this signature campaign weekly and get whatever I do from my investments that I've made in a few companies here and there. I'm considering putting in more money into some companies, however for now I'd like to hold on to some of what I have and see where I go from there.

Right now only with my signature campaign. I would love to earn it with offering services here, but I am just a normal person with no interesting skills such as high level coders and designers have.

I am currently earn from signature campaign and i also earn from trading, most of my bitcoin is coming from signature campaign, when i am lucky i can earn from alot from trading and gambling, but i seldom gamble now

I am currently only making a majority of my Bitcoin from the signature campaign that I'm a part of. I don't do a whole lot beyond that, but I do do a few odd jobs here and there, such as writing, for Bitcoin. If there were other opportunities I would likely take them within reason. It just depends on whether or not I have the time.

Mostly of the users are main source of income in bitcoin is signature campaign in addition for me is i do trading and sports betting which is the risk is not too high specially if you learn/research first before you put your money in an investment.

Currently, I have a signature campaign as my way of generating bitcoins.  I do trading with altcoin to generate more bitcoin and do some task like tweeting and retweeting, Facebook like and other jobs that pay bitcoin or altcoin.  I also participate in different ICO wishing that it will give me a nice profit when it launch.

well i dont really generate any bitcoins, but my main way of acquiring bitcoins right now is through buying them from an exchange.
but right now im not buying that many because the price is a little high. i might buy more if the price drops.

The only I earn or generate Bitcoins is through signature campaigns and selling items online and get paid in BTC. As much as I would like to earn providing service, unfortunately I don't know what to offer aside from site reviews and give feedback to certain items that I can use. Sometimes I also earn from the profits in holding Bitcoins for a few weeks and sell after a $10 increase or higher.

I earn bitcoin through signature campaign whether it's on this forum or on social media because it's the simplest way I think even we need to think what to posts.

I also offer translating service, and sometimes join giveaway or bounty.

True story. Even a coder like me couldn't find a good client because it's really difficult. You can't gain enough reputation because there are lots of elites out there already. Sad story.

I also do not want to do this because it will cost you a lot of money and earning it on other ways is also way better, I at this moment only do signature campaigns but I must say that its working out pretty good.

It is legit, but it's really not worth the trouble IMO, you'd have a very hard time getting your articles upvoted in the beginning.
And the content on there is pretty crappy to say the least.

I think mining is no longer profitable today. you will get a large fee if you use a lot of mining tools, I think mining is no longer worthed

I earn bitcoins by converting gift cards like Amazon, iTunes, Vanilla etc. I don't make a much of income of it but its still something.  8)

So far in my case now, there are two things happen to me here in bitcoin when it comes to earnings. The first thing is I joined in the signature campaign and then I play trading in the exchange like what everybody says here it is really profitable and tested.

the majority of my coins that i make come from trading profits. my target for each year is to gain around 100% per year. further i get a small amount from my bitmixer campaign every week. but i am very happy with how i have been doing in the last 2 years. can't wish for more.

For now since I have worked on days. The only thing I can do to earn bitcoin is through signature only.
I cannot make extra ways in earning of bitcoin. 

And with the recent drop rewards, it's really not good if a person will just enter the mining world.

Those who are into industry of mining are the one who can keep up with the current mining and difficutly but for the new one it will be hard to cover all the cost.

So it's not advisable for a new one to go through a mining these days.

I am making them through signature campaign since my bestfriend taught me already about bitcoin and how it is really works when it comes on bitcoin i really appreciated his highly effort when it comes of tutorial , Now im a great one that i can really make money in bitcoin with some such good amount in trading also.

right now i am earning bitcoin from this forum and some freelance job and some side exchange business but its better if i do not count that in it. i am earning something like 0.004btc per day

the main way that i am making bitcoin is from trading. although i am not really doing it always because it needs a lot of time and i don't always have the time to spend. so i can say the only consistent way for me to make bitcoin has been signature campaigns.

I am earning bitcoins in someways like signature campaign, some coding works, trading, and also from faucets. But only my coding works give sufficient to spend, all other things are just dust earning.

I really wanted to get into mining but when i see the price of mining device and its return of investment time, i don't think i can afford the money and also time for the ROI. As far as trading am not good at that most of the times when i do altcoin trading i end up in loss, sometimes i do get profit. So trading is not good for me since i don't have patience to wait for the rise.

As far as signature campaign, i don't think the pay i get is enough for the time i spend in the forum, Average i do get is 200 to 300 INR in bitcoins per week.

In conclusion my major earning of bitcoin is from the coding works.

I am earning bitcoins through signature campaigns, without any investment signature campaign is the best way to earn bitcoins. In future if i am able to save a good amount i will try to use it in trading. Still i am looking for more ways to earn bitcoins through this forum.

When I first got started it was faucets just to get a hang of how bitcoin works,now my main way of generating bitcoin is by heading down to a bitcoin atm and buying it. ;)
Did I mention the closest one is in a area where the cops drive by every 20 seconds and the crackheads are all over the place.

My way to generate BTCs actually is with FaucetGame.com on Slot-Machine, auto-play mode hahaha  :D

It's a good way to generate some satoshis automatically afk, passive income. But there is another ways to make more profit, and they aren't hard, like the signature campaigns that can be very profitable when you have a high rank here on BitcoinTalk Forum.
It's possible to make some profit with faucets also, very low amounts, but can help you if you are starting using BTCs.

I feel there is something more important than earning Bitcoin, I don't earn a lot of Bitcoin because I am focusing now on learning and discovering this new world which is growing day by day, I see that blockchain technology is the focus of attention now, and this make me curious to know more about it, this is the reason why I am here.

Currently, my way of generating bitcoins is through signature campaign. It requires work though and now that the signature campaign that I joined is long term and will not pay for weeks, I am generating income passively via bitcoin gambling site investment. I invested in their bankroll and the other method that I use to generate passive income is altcoin trading. I just wait for a price rise then sell. Then buy after dump.

I'm plannning to join some signature campaign when my rank goes up. But as of now I'm doing some altcoin trading but it's not that easy since you will always ave to watch the market.

My way of generating bitcoin at this point is thru social media campaign and trading.  I look for micro task here, so I can do it and be paid with bitcoins or altcoin (then convert it to bitcoin) and do trading. I am avoiding gambling because at this little amount, I am afraid I might lose and my bitcoin gone.

True, trading is always a very challenging even though your expert because timing is very important in trading and if you miss that time, then you can lose a lot of money. So one should be watching market and prices regularly if you're into trading business. But signature campaigns are good ways to earn some bitcoins in your free time.

My only source of bitcoin earnings is this forum.You should also join any campaign and start earning instead of wasting your time elsewhere

What i like about trading is the easy of the safe investments. Just look at the old coins which were popular back in the day; ftc, vtc, they are all going to be pumped eventually and ta da you got yourself a profit. This is not something that will last forever and or is guaranteed, that's why I only invest with small portions of money.

For me, this is not a way for generating bitcoin, but I just wanna for make my amount be a wonderful, just investing in ico.... I get multiple in my bitcoin. the another way of generating bitcoin are through their camp and offering service but need for providing what is your skill before.

Generating means no risk, so what I am doing that will fall to hat definition is thru signature campaign and other online jobs, but I am not contented with my earnings coming from that activity alone, I also do trading and investment because I want to maximize my earnings.

Exactly, so that means investment or working for bitcoin although working for bitcoin is way safer and does not involve risk. People wanting to increase their income and they cannot do that by working alone, investing is also necessary to grow our income and many it will just generate more money in the future.

I earn some bitcoins but not stably or auto-pilot and I need to spend a big amount of effort to get them. I don't mine particularly with how it's not profitable right now, I trade with usd value and also buy altcoins and can be relatively profitable if you make the good choice while trading.

i don't know what satoshi digging crap is! but  i have thought a lot about mining and also invested in cloudmining but i am not at a good conclusion in any of them.


steem is the crappiest way of making bitcoin. it was good and profitable only in its early days but since the idea of it is flawed from the start, it could not succeed and as you can see from the price of the coin, it is dying slowly.


even for a "passive" income you have to do something. and passive incomes are never good amounts.

for income i am only trading and participating in signature campaign.

Obviously signature campaign and trading these two are popular but it takes time to arrive at this level,you have to be more patient but once you've get there,everything will be easy,but you have to do very cautious one mistake can also cost you.

i'll tell you one thing about steem and making money by posting on it: "you will earn a lot more by blogging on blogspot and earning with adsense on" don't waste your time.


what i do is signature campaign and trading.
but most of the earning comes from trading but since i don't have time for trading all the time i do it as long term investments and make smaller profits.

Only through signature campaign.  This is the only way I can generate bitcoin because it is the safest way I could think of.  I have done investing before and it was no good as I ended up on a scam investment site.  With trading I was not able to do it because of lack of bitcoin funds because I always convert it into fiat currency.

My current way to generate Bitcoin is Signature Campaign, but I have some investment to (1 in a startup project and some in a loan). I also sometimes do trade, but it never goes well for me. As far as I can remember, I never have a profit from a trading. And I currently earn my Bitcoin from selling things like games or any other thing, and also by joining some contests.

At a moment I am generating bitcoins from signature campaign and trading as I think both are the best ways to earn bitcoins and sometimes I do try my luck in gambling to grow my coins in a quick way.

Primarily I generate my coins when I buy them for fiat.
Then there is my signature campaign, that gives me a little bit extra.
I did some trading, that that earning option is on hold at the moment for me.
And then I have started to do some advertisements, but that is not going well at the moment. Maybe it will with time.

I am not a miner so I am not generating any bitcoin but I am earning bitcoins with different task like I earn bits weekly for marketing and I also do some tasks on fiver so I am also earning some money from there and then I convert them to bitcoin and I also have some earnings from my blogs.

I thing op also means getting your bitcoins growing. Apart from mining. there are many options you can do.
Try trading for example there are tons of money to be made while trading. What's also good is selling a service you have.

My way is to use the all ways. This can really help because in the same time you do more so you can get more as result.

No, I am not into bitcoin mining. Because, I am well aware of bitcoin mining will not be profitable unless we are doing it in industry grade.

I just simply depending on signature campaigns to generate my bitcoins. I'm fully satisfied with my way of getting it. But I cannot call it as passive income, because I'm actively participating in this work for generating it.

i earning bitcoin from trading of bitcoin i mostly buy bitcoin with love price and then hold it for long time as investment and when price go to high value i sell my bitcoin and get a huge profit from holding of bitcoin and i prefer that its good time to hold your bitcoin.

Definitely mining would have been good but after the halving of Bitcoin it's turned out out unprofitable for small scale miners

I get bitcoins from signature campaigns, investing in ICOs and recently trading on Poloniex.

And well after the halving a lot of "cloudmining services"ponzi, turned off  ::)
Big groups are mining all bitcoins, maybe altcoins is a goodway to mining solo.

OP, that's interesting.  I've heard about steemit on this forum but don't really know much about it.  Earning anything from writing is very cool.  I guess you could say signature campaigns are a way to do that, but it's not quite the same thing.

I *generate* bitcoin by the above and buy it with earnings I get from my job.  I don't know much about mining, so I leave that to the whales to do.  Definitely nothing passive, though I get the appeal of that.

Last my mining activity wasn't good. so big difficult to mining bitcoin right now. And i think mining btc wasn't the best way to get a lot btc if you dont have good hadware for mining. Now i'm just focus on trading to get btc. There's my passive income for me :D

I see trading more enjoying than mining (although I haven't done much with trading yet).
Mining is too expensive. You buy hardware and then pay for electricity cost. I think mining nowadays doesn't give you good profit anymore.

Mining altcoin is good now a days and bitcoin is bad because it is hard to mine now unlike altcoins just pick the right altcoin then your hardwares and software then you are good to go. Because of the halving bitcoin is very difficult right now to mine unlike past few years it is easyy.

I'm currently enrolled to a signature campaign and also eyeing out on several opportunities in some ICOs currently happening. Also, I do sports betting from time to time, especially MLB and NHL seasons started now. Aside from that, I'm also shelling a fraction of my salary on buying bitcoins every week. In that way, I am accumulating bitcoins and stacking it up, and sell it when the price is way higher again.

My way of 'generating' Bitcoin is simply like most others people on this forums. Make posts on this forums daily - signature campaign. I know that signature campaign will be going away in a few years and hence I also started a small online business related to Bitcoin. It is a free Bitcoin lottery game (you can find it here (http://www.bitrevenues.com/) and here (http://freebitcoinlottery.xyz/)). My platform has been online for more than a year now but I have not make any profit yet.

Agree! mining bitcoin after halving is lot of miners affected because they cant earn a lot of profits from it so they are just shutting down their mining hardwares but now i do suggest that is  nice to mine altcoin just find the right altcoin then start mining it . It is profitable also.

I am earning bitcoin through altcoin trading but not quite significant amount, i am currently trying to buy with my fiats that i get from my friends and even i am thinking about taking bank loan and convert them to bitcoin.

At first trading is really difficult are loosing money but that could earn you experience on what to do and what you shouldnt do. Keep learning about trading dude you can earn a lot from it dont give up. Use your earnings in signature campaigns and invest it in trading.

Correct, trading is  a good way to earn  bitcoin  and earn decent profits but  as we all know trading isnt simple as it sounds and you would really need  knowledge  on it  to prevent  loss of your  investment. Correct, using your signature campaigns earnings would be a great  first move.

if you are good at trading then it becomes one of the best ways of making bitcoin.
but if you are not good at it or just starting to learn it, then trading can be a pain in the ass to earn anything from since it is really hard.

Agree on both answers to generate or earn a bitcoin. Me too also engaged in trading and signature campaign and it gives me a decent return on my spare time. Also I have this mining investment from hash ocean and it gives me thousands of satoshis :) Though I cant recommend in mining as more become a scam in te long run, but its a good try for me :)

Currently i am earning bitcoins from signature campaign and also from social media campaign, one more  way from where i am generating my coins but it will take little bit time to grow my bitcoins and that is trading, i bought some currencies and now holding it and waiting for price to increase.

passive its that much passive i mean even you you have a decent capital to buy miners, they will need their maintenance , and checking them from time to time, if pool is up, any network issues etc, so leave passive & go active you can make much more!!

I think most of users are earning bitcoins from signature campaign and trading as both can generate descent amount of coins in long run and there is no chance of getting scammed in it.

I will not consider signature campaign reward as part of my earning, that is too small to consider, I have to be serious with my time and I want to spend it in a quality way, trading has been giving me profit and I love what I am doing, in the future I will be a big trader because I am going to increase my capital.

Even if you are earning small amount from signature campaign its somehow helping you in building up your capital but that is true that you will always have higher income in trading.

yeah if you have enough skills then you can earn in unlimited ways on this forum and if you don't have any technical skills then for you the best way to earn it is from signature and trading.

If it is in fiat cash, it is still alright as you can exchange your fiat cash to bitcoin. I do that and I know most of the users do that.
Trading is another way, you can also invest in good coins and hold on to them for a year to see your coins grow in value. It is not a risk free way to earn but it is totally worth it.

I think mining today is still quite profitable but after halving perhaps the ROI will be longer, it may take up to 6 months, I think if you do not want to get cloudmining scam, better use of mining offline, buy mining equipment and you could mine own your house and you'll avoid scam

Everyone has its own interest, I have tried binary option and it does not work for me, so now I just sticking to trading and at the same time I do gamble in sports as well. For me, I have the best chance to grow my money in sports than other forms of gambling due to the fact that I love sports.

When I read this thread's title at first, I remembered the time when faucets were very popular for earning bitcoin.

well main source of earning some btc about 0.008 btc per week is from this campaign and usually i hold some altcoin also in the wait of getting profit .

It could be a small amount but as long as it is consistent you will be able to save a accumulate it into a bigger amount, if you have a day job work the better as you do not need to spend your earnings in bitcoin, you just have to save it and invest for your future.

If you have some time and skills to offer, I'd suggest you to head over to upwork and register as a freelancer. There are a lot of jobs that pay out in bitcoin, while your rank is going up here and you could be able to join a little better paying sig campaign.

Trading altcoins these days and these years have been profitable especially if you trade ETH.
I have traded altcoins too and ETH and DOGE ware the best one that brought profit.

Good idea to do that but make sure you have the skills that is in demand in the internet, I myself have tried to post my interest to work for the accounting jobs but seems the competition is really big and I cannot find an employer that would accepted me base on my qualification offered.

I dont really earn any these days as signature campiagn is too much work if your wanting to earn a decent amount of bitcoin and the only other "safe" way to earn bitcoins is to buy them.
