Title: Forgetting to change the 'temporary Virwox password' Post by: KO_KO on April 02, 2013, 06:48:51 AM So I just fished up this little interesting bit of information after wondering where my bitcoins were after a 48 hour manual check ~ apparently if you don't change the temporary password 24 hours after opening the account, they straight-up disable your Virwox account with no notification ?
What's funny is how shamelessly un-advertised this critical necessity is on the main website. The ONLY place I see this warning is literally on the email you get that has your temporary password, at the very bottom of the message, in plain text with nothing to make it stand out for the sake of not losing all your money. Awesome. Has anyone else managed to get their BTC back from an account disabled due to this error? If not, I'm willing to take it as a very salty lesson in reading the fine print. |
