Title: Where do you go looking for lawyer? Post by: coga on April 02, 2013, 04:25:15 PM Does anyone here actually consult with lawyer, and where do you go looking for one? Most regular lawyers have no idea of FinCEN regulations. The one that my accountant told me to talk to said she doesn't know anything and she can research for me for $250/hr.

Ok I hold a LLB degree from Ivy League (group of 8 we call them) Australian UNI (UNSW) (Common Law country) and Specialized in the Law of Banking, pm me your question. That's why they specialize, so they don't have to spend time learning new stuff when they could be billing people for things they already know. Title: Re: Where do you go looking for lawyer? Post by: Big Time Coin on April 03, 2013, 06:20:30 PM In the US: go to your State Bar association website, use the referral service or call state bar referral service and ask for a lawyer in the area of Financial Regulatory, Securities, Commercial Litigation, Tax Law, or Criminal Defense. Could also look in the yellow pages. Or talk to your family attorney and ask for a referral.

Also, regarding lawyers, Nolo (username on this forum) is a good one to consult. |
