Title: Discrepancy between cgminer share count and LTC pool share count?
Post by: spork on April 02, 2013, 06:31:05 PM
I decided to move a box over to LTC mining last night and was surprised to see that the pool showed my 1800kH/s box (as reported by cgminer) as about 600kH/s and was only registering maybe one out of every 3 shares submitted. Sure I had some stale/rejected shares but not nearly enough to account for the over 60% discrepancy. This is on burnside's pool (http://ltc.kattare.com) with 2x 6990s.

Interestingly enough the same cgminer version and config on a much lower speced box (2x 5770s for about 400kH/s) gets reported accurately by the pool, the speed and shares match pretty closely.

I would put this down to a bad pool but I had the same issue mining on notroll.in. What gives?
