Title: Do you 'express' your interest in Bitcoin to the public?
Post by: jacktheking on October 18, 2016, 12:39:15 PM
As per title/question, do you usually express your interest in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency to the public such as your family, friends and even strangers? By expressing I do not mean over-expressing. I mean by that you will always discuss Bitcoin related news and etc.

Personally, I don't really express my interest in Bitcoin to anyone other than my family and some close friends. I feel weird when I talk about Bitcoin to strangers.

Of course i talk about bitcoins to my family and friends, and even sometimes with strangers, asking why they accept/they don't accept bitcoins in their store and so on

I personally encourage my family, friends and co-workers to invest in bitcoin. Because I can see a lot of potential in this cryptocurrency. I just tell them about bitcoin and tell them to researched about it, I really dont force them.

Usualy yes. If I'm in company of people I know, friends and family I could openly talk about Bitcoin and promote it, discuss about new developments, achievements etc. If I'm in some unknown environment  I will talk with more consideration, not because I would be afraid or something but I don't like to impose my opinion about something to anyone.

I've actually tried expressing my intrest, but even between my collegues, i seem to be an outsider (i work in a really big IT department, only one other guy actually used to mine BTC a long time ago)

I do. It helps to spread the knowledge so wheneer I have a chance to mention and explain what bitcoin is I am taking that advantage.
One time when I was on a mall and someone asked me if I have a job and  I told her about how I am earning money online through bitcoin. I didn't know that somehow she already had an idea because she have heard o it already so it felt good explaining what bitcoin is.

From time to time, I'll bring up bitcoin whenever the idea of money or currency is involved in conversations. I think I'm the only Bitcoin person I know around here, but I'm trying to change that :P

My position is similar to yours. I only express my interest in Bitcoin to my family and some friends. Also, I don't express to anyone who shows no interest in it. I don't do hard-selling.

I express my interest in how important the blockchain protocol is and use bitcoins to show how powerful descentralized body can act. Just wish the miners where more spread out. But that's also due to market factors, the cheaper overall places to setup mining operations the more they will move to those regions.

Most don't i think.

i seen a News story on Bitcoin last winter in my town's news paper..
and i recall the guys they got quotes from said they avoided talking about it with others.
They treat it like a dirty word in the real financial industry.
