Title: [Betcoin.AG] Bumping their thread < 24h | Double posting | Violating the rules
Post by: Lutpin on October 21, 2016, 09:47:04 PM
Similar to the things BetBTC have been doing (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1507681.0) a few months ago,
Betcoin.AG (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=202115) is openly showing their disrespect to the forum rules by bumping their self-moderated thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1616139.0) several times a day.

As a simple report doesn't really carry all the information needed, this thread will serve as a reference for all my reports given their thread and their violations.

Here's the last few bumps and the timestamps on those:

So they are not allowed to post separate significant updates or announcements or reply to other posters except for once a day, all in one post?

I think I reported them a few times. I know I saw it and meant too just can't remember if I actually had. I saw 3 posts in under 24h just basically bumping the thread over and over again.

So they are not allowed to post separate significant updates or announcements or reply to other posters except for once a day, all in one post?

If you know you're putting on 3 different promotions on a certain day there will never be a need to post every few hours. It's unnecessary and not allowed by forum rules! Obviously replying to a question is OK (but the OP doesn't do that of course, most questions are deleted because obviously they open some wounds about how sketchy the whole website is).

Significant updates or announcements may be made once a day. Replies to questions can happen more often.

Alright, sounds fair enough. Thanks for the replies/clarification.

The first three are regarding their recent website outages, and might be overlooked (even though the edit button does wonders), as they provided actual help.
The last however bumps a thread that already has been bumped 3 times by the owner today, adn is a clear violation of the forum rules.

Will the mods ban them? Betcoin.ag is the largest gambling site in the community, bitcointalk need them, maybe you can PM that OP the rule. Be better than only post here, just my 2 cents.

May or may not be, I think he violated the forum rules many times, he may get banned for 3-14 days. Or he only will only get a warning message.

If he got banned for a few days, he should follow the rules, but broke the rules again. I think mods are too busy to handle so much work, I reported some spammers but they are still posting.

Not even sure if somebody is looking at/handling my reports, right now.
Yet alone, going to issue a ban over one of them.

Betcoin.ag is the largest gambling site in the community
The rules apply to you, me, and "the largest gambling site in the community".
Being X does not raise you above the rules.

bitcointalk need them
I don't think so.

maybe you can PM that OP the rule
It's not my job to teach betcoin what rules we have and how to act in order to not violate them

Be better than only post here
Like ignoring this stuff like 99.99% of the other people do?

Your report is about to reach 10 months. Does admins are the only one to issue a ban or mods too? Just curious since the said campaign is not yet banned provided the proofs you presented. If admins are the only one can then I understand since they handled the cases very slow but isn't 10 months enough to act upon this matter? I assume that you messaged them regarding this.

Surprising? No.

Does admins are the only one to issue a ban or mods too?
Some moderators can issue bans, but out of the current staff members there's probably only a single one that is active (hilariousandco).

I assume that you messaged them regarding this.
Some things here are futile. The best that you can do is bump this thread up each day hoping that it gets handled.

Since they are banned right now, the following would count as ban evasion, right?

BetcoinPoker (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=154317) (instead of Betcoin.AG (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=202115)) posting the same previously deleted post once again:

The world cup is running and betcoin.ag is eager to bump their thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1616139.1280

There's been 13 bumps between June 21st and June 28th (today), which equals to almost 2 bumps per day, twice the allowed amount / half the required wait time between two bumps.

The week before (June 14th to 21st) there have been 14 bumps as well.
