Title: Error "object of type"
Post by: sumdumname on October 23, 2016, 02:41:44 PM
I keep receiving an error message that states "object of type "NoneType" has no len(). As such I'm unable to send any coins or even export my seed with this message popping up every time I need to enter my password and preventing what I'm trying to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you need to post a screenshot of your error that we may understand it better what you want to say.

However I have had a similar error where I could see No valid input and a few words I don't remember now. To fix it I choose a specific server and not auto connect. Maybe it will help you to.

For example try to connect only to Electrum.Online 10000.

Which version were you using when you first get this error? There was a bug in early 2.7.x version that causes the same symptoms. Try updating electrum and restore your wallet from seed.

It is in 2.7.0 or 2.7.1 and is similar to this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1637501.0 (also (https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/1954))

Upgrade to latest version should fix this.
