Title: paypal limit
Post by: mriulian on October 23, 2016, 07:32:22 PM
Hi guys,

I have a paypal account with a limit of 180 days.

Do you know any way that I can withdraw the money earlier?

The only mail that I have from them is this:

Quote
Hello,

We regret to inform you that we’re initiating the closure of your PayPal account because of certain activity that took place relating to your account. This measure is necessary to protect us from potential financial losses.

Your account balance during the account closure period:

This decision means we must oversee the appropriate movement of any money currently in your account. A gradual approach to account closure allows us to part ways, while considering any liabilities that may arise. Our aim is to review any valid buyer claims lodged against you. We must allow enough time for claims to be filed as these can take several months to be reported and resolved.

How will the process work?

We will hold any money currently in your account in accordance with section 2 below. We do this because it provides sufficient time for most claims, such as chargebacks, to be filed by other parties. These claims can result in financial loss. If your account balance is below zero, you will have to settle the amount owing on your account to avoid further action.
Our first review at 30 days from the date of this email will calculate our exposure and we will release any excess funds to you at that time for withdrawal. We will communicate this to you at the time. This review can result in 3 different outcomes as detailed in sub-sections 2(1)-(3) below. We will always communicate the outcome of our reviews to you.

   1.     We will release your entire remaining balance to you for withdrawal. Please note that if you choose not to withdraw the money at that point we reserve the right to re-coup any money at the next review; or
   2.     We will release a part of your remaining balance to you. If this is the case we’ll inform you about how much money can be withdrawn. We’ll then conduct another review 30 days later that will repeat the process detailed under section 2; or
   3.     We won’t release any funds to you if we deem our exposure to be greater than or equal to your available balance.

Your account may be reviewed up to 5 times; at 30 day intervals until day 180 from the date of this email. If any money remains in your account at day 180 it will be made available for withdrawal at that point.

Accounts with a balance owing to PayPal:

If your account shows an amount owing to us, you must add funds to ensure that the balance returns to zero. Please note that we reserve the right to recover the amount by legal means.

A copy of our User Agreement can be found by clicking ‘Legal Agreements’ at the bottom of any PayPal page. Our right to close your PayPal account, and the retention of funds, are covered in our User Agreement under sections 10.2 and 10.3.

this is the best part of using paypal... AFAIK there isn't a way to release your funds before 180 days while it is frozen there..
sorry for your "loss"

I am using a lot Paypal so I trully don't know why I am receiving this limitation on every account I'm opening.

I do not have disputes or illegal money.

Sad but true

That's why I'm withdrawing money from my Paypal every 5-6 days to my CC.

It is said that they will close your account because of some illegal actions. So there must be something.

It might be a good idea to go through your transactions to make sure you have been reported or charged back on anything.
Paypal is really strict and will rekt you. That 180 frozen assets is time they gain interest of money in their account.
Its very profitable to put accounts on hold for long periods of time for little to no reason what so ever.

This is quite strange.

I used this paypal only for tips from couchsurfers and guys from airbnb.

Don't know what is happening. I called them many times, in a long period i still received money but now I'm totally blocked.

They are for me just too stupid some times.

I mean I call to them and they not even know what to say.

Our system made some automatically checks and now you're banned from using our services and so on.

Why is anyone storing money on Paypal, instead of using it to pay with is beyond me.

Paypal would take the money from your CC if you need to pay something, so no need to have anything on PP balance.

That's how I started to use bitcoin.

I do not have credit or debit cards because I'm a gambler and everytime when i lose i use the atms.

With paypal I exchange on localbitcoins and directly to bank account with really low costs and in maximum one hour.

Yep, I hear you. I don't have gambling problem. Thank God.

Hope you'll get your money back faster than 180 days.
