Title: Weird rounding coincedence in GBP
Post by: Cred on April 03, 2013, 04:00:10 PM
Just looking at MtGox and not long ago it was at £93.00000 now at £88.00000. Seems to hover around exact whole number of pounds. Just saying...?

Transactions in other currencies are traded in those other currencies.  It's not a "translated" USD value.  That's why the volume is also lower...

They seem pretty thinly traded too, eg when I sell in eur it takes a little while before the EUR rate catches up with dollar moves.

Action is coming from all over the world.  It's just that most people trade in USD due to larger trading volume... :)

I was basing this more off Google trends and a mapping of requests than the currency used. It would be interesting to see a more accurate map of transaction but it would obviously have to be taken with a pinch of salt if a lot of transactions are through Mt Gox or Tor.
