Title: Need advice on> Series 1 Casascius 1 BTC 2011 ‘Error’
Post by: mojolama on October 25, 2016, 03:55:07 PM
Someone is interested in buying one and would like some advice on present price as haven't seen any auctions here recently.
Coin is ungraded but not damaged.
Thanks

This.

We need to see the coin to give you an accurate price. Even then, the Casascius market is a little precarious at the moment, so an estimate would be just that: an estimate.

Cheers

Might need some better pictures. It could just be your camera, but there appears to be oil residue on the surface of your coin. Can you clarify if this is the case?

Graded Casascius errors around the MS67 range have sold for ~4 BTC in the last few months, though there have not been many sales lately. MS65 might fetch 2.5, or a little more? Again, this is tough. 6 months ago we would have been able to answer this question with more ease.

That said, I would not let an ungraded error that is "good condition" go for less than 2.2 BTC. Sorry I could not be more helpful :(

If you look on the side of the holo, it says CASACIUS, not CASASCIUS. This is the error  :)
