Title: why coins which listed on polo/bitrex will be pumped?
Post by: puremage111 on October 25, 2016, 04:26:03 PM
Why people always said whenever they got added to this 2 exchanges, not sure about kraken, the price will go up , is there any particular reason?

Especially polo, heard that certain coins which got added just got x5 pump instant

Reason?

Thanks

The liquidity increases rapidly when a currency is added in a large exchange.

I've heard many people saying Bittrex is cursed for some reason  :D

For coins to be listed on the larger exchanges they have to meet certain requirements like a large volume of trading on smaller sites or an amount of money raised during an IPO
so there is probably a bit of momentum gaining for the coin already
and once they are added to the larger sites they immediately gain more visibility and credibility
which is usually enough to cause the price of an altcoin to rise.

I don't think most people that invest in new coins even know who the developers are or do any background research,
its all based on hype and increase in volume/ price.

So basically coins which added to Polo/Bitrex will most likely be coins which are an stable ongoing project or backed by projects? Therefore the rate of scam coin is low in both exchanges Polo/Bitrex? How about kraken?

Maybe yes maybe no. It's not a basis wherein the coins are stable or having a good future since the trade volumes are created by those investors and hoarders.

Polo is delisting coins that established a low trade volume at a given period of time. That is good so that all coins are sorted out unlike in other exchanges where shitcoins are included in their trading list.

It ain't necessary that ALL coins that get listed on the mentioned exchanges will get pumped...
Many alts don't even get good volumes for even months after getting listed and sometimes even get delisted for not getting enough required volume...
The ones that get pumped are the ones in which people are highly interested or are fudding/hyping/spreading the word at its highest...

Do not make the mistake of putting bittrex and Poloniex in the same category, they are not.

because there's a bunch of hungry pumpers who'll latch on to anything with the intention of taking your bitcoin from you.

you are mistaken. what people say is this:

"when ... happens price will go to the moon aka will be pumped."

you can replace the blank (...) with anything that you like and you can find topics about it. blank can be adding to a new exchager, it can be a wallet, it can even be releasing the roadmap!

in other words it is all a hype that sometimes is successful and sometimes isn't.

and also it is effective in this case that people who are pumping these coins are not going to sign up on a random shady exchange like yobit to pump an altcoin and risk not being able to withdraw their money
