Title: Multibit Problem
Post by: AKWAnalytics on April 03, 2013, 05:46:39 PM
Yesterday I bought something on bitcoinstore with my mutlibit client and the transaction showed up in the client.  However, the client has said that there are no confirmations (seen by one or two peers) and I am unable to spend the change from the transaction.  Also, I checked blockchain.info and the transaction has over 100 confirmations.  Anyone have any idea what is going on or if there is a fix?  Thanks.

Maybe you could tell us the tx ID or the wallet address so we can look for ourselves?

Why would you need to see for yourself?  I'm not trying to pull one over on anyone, I'm just trying to find a fix.

Did Multibit downloaded the whole chain? Check in the bottom left of the multibit window, near Online, is it downloading something? I suppose yes, let it finish. Multibit is much much quicker than bitcoin-qt, the blockchain it has to download is much smaller, but it still has to download it  :D

Yes, it is online and the blockchain is up to date. I have been using multibit for awhile and never had this issue.  Would it be ok to use the 'reset the blockchain' option or will this delete my coins.  Thanks for the respones, btw!!

Try it. It won't delete your coin. To be sure, backup the wallet (but i suppose you already have a backup of it, am i right?  :) )

Correct.  I use multiple clients all of which are backed up.  Ill give it a shot and report back in case anyone else encounters this issue.  Thanks!

Resetting the blockchain worked.  Thx Gabi.
