I think I am going to back out from the Bitcoin game until some truly professional players that are capable corporations and know how to 'do' online banking/transactions. Hopefully the price will go down again so I can actually be allowed to log in and hopefully get my BTC out. Title: Re: mtgox down! But obviously geek/techie types like us who are doing something new and different such as BitCoins DO know the risk. I have dabbled in stocks, commodities and FOREX and in any of those... hacking and DDoS would have been a rare occurence. My money in BTC is at risk period... My account at a website should not be at risk though. The advice of keeping coins in a secure wallet or on paper is great advice for someone who wants to hold on to BTC.
