But I'm actually very happy, that the biggest BTC exchange is still in the Hands of a real Bitcoiner. He could possible sell it for Millions if not close to a billion right now. Welcome to a truly free market. It's called a shark tank for a reason. You get big rewards or take big falls. If that is too scary then buy insurance and stick to your 401k. What would they use if not gox? Tradehill's dark pools, although I highly doubt institutional money is flowing directly into Bitcoin. The systematic risk is far too great and the levels of liquidity are far too low. A single investment from one institution would move dramatically move the market.
