Which is the safest country in the world, regarding natural disasters?

I mean a place where there is no risk of hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, eruptions, tsunami or other natural disasters.
Do you know any official stats? What is the situation in your country?

dunno about countries, but check out a louis theroux documentary about survivalists. there was a guy on there who set out to build a community in the safest area of America. he went through all the same stuff you did and settled on rural Idaho. I think the biggest danger there is dying of boredom.

This article talks about criminality, terrorism and something like this.

I was searching safest places regarding only natural disasters.

For example, Japan ranks high in that article, but, as we all know, is a dangerous place for frequent earthquakes and tsunami.

I would say Scandinavia

According to a survey of United Nations University for Environment and Human Security it found out top 30 safest country in the world.

It's my first time to hear about Barbados haha.

But I've lived in Saudi Arabia for several years, and yeah I can say that's true it doesn't really experience any life threatening natural disasters.

I think it is china. Their country is very developed and organize and only few thypoon and hurricane hits their land, i think they are blessed on having a great land with a lot of resources.

I never thought that Saudi Arabia is a safe country. I think that is very comfortable to live in Japan

safest country by what ? crime ? or weather related ? I think japan and iceland is the safest by far depending on crime rate . I don't like people saying qatar or any middle east country is the safest as I had seen a news were a man has been raped and thrown in a desert the sad part is hes still alive and now had a psychological problem :(

I've recently read that the japanese population is one of the most depressed of the world. They have the highest number of young people committing suicide because of the unbearable pace of life

I think no one country is safe as my opinion only because all country have experience different kinds of disaster like tsunami , earthquake and landslide many more. Its a natural disaster no one can stop what happen today and tomorrow. So always be careful .

Well, according to this stats, Arabic countries seem to be the most safest ones. Nice discovery.

We're talking about natural disasters here.

And Japan is a place of earthquakes.

They is no safe place in the world

There's no such place. We've all probably looked for this type of country but none of them are going to offer us enough protection in case of a natural disaster. Many countries done a lot of tests 'proving their safety' but most of them proved they couldn't offer any when a natural disaster took place. There are also people wondering which country would be safe in case of a nuclear war. No country can be safe in case of a war either.

Scandinavian countries are pretty calm, too cold for dangerous activities

Yeah, China is a very beautiful place to live. But China is prone from high magnitude earthquakes. Anyway, theres no peaceful place on earth we are not safe anywhere. Disasters, crimes and calamities we are never gonna scape from this. But if you are going to search for peaceful enough to live, Davao City, Philippines. This is the safest city in the world, which is less crime.

maybe people should think about their personal safety if they break the law too. singapore is not a friendly place if you get into legal trouble.
