Title: Why was this topic deleted?

It's not my thread; it's by a newbie who had a question that I couldn't quite understand because I don't speak Russian well and neither does Google Translate, but it seemed legitimate. I reported it to suggest that it be moved to the Hoвички board instead of Beginners & Help, and when I went back to check if it was moved it was gone! Why? Aside from being in the English section instead of the Russian section, what was wrong with it? ???

The mod who deleted it provably thought it was a spam because I myself have reported 2 threads yesterday with the same situation where the post is in different language in different sections here in forum. I reported that it was in different language so it can be moved but it was deleted instead.

Why didn't you ask thread starter to move it to relevant section instead of reporting it to staff?Obviously not all staff members understand Russian and when some of them had seen it,he must have considered it as reported spam or troll and deleted it.I think it is beat to suggest op to move his/her thread where it belongs rather than reporting it more so when the thread is in any other language than English

because I don't speak Russian well and neither does Google Translate

I expect some of them understand English, which is the language in which I suggested that the topic be moved to the appropriate board. ::)

You might not have been the only one reporting that thread.

He wasn't. There were four reports in the queue for that thread and two of them reported it as spam and the other two for it being in the wrong section.
