I would say that's big-ish. National Rail operators are going to look a little ridiculous if they endorse Bitcoin one minute, then condemn it the next. Seems as if someone in management at Swiss National Railways is very confident that they won't be forced to reverse that decision. It's good for Bitcoin's profile, as long as it doesn't turn into "Swiss National Railways bans Bitcoin" or something similar..

That is pretty big news.
It is a start for Bitcoin, although the machine seems like people could only top up via Bitcoin and other payment options -the people cannot receive change with Bitcoin.

I just checked the amount of companies that are accepting Bitcoin as a payment option (http://bitcoin-einfach.de/akzeptanzstellen?zoom=15&is_mile=0&directory_radius=0&sort=newest&keywords=Schweiz&address=&directory_radius=0&center=&category=0) in Switzerland -with about 11 companies listed in the results, Bitcoin is making progress.

I would say it is big news. But what is their motivation? Profit?
Would selling bitcoins at railway stations yield substantial profits?
