If Bitcoin break $700. For how long it will stay above $700?

i think indefinitely, above $700 was already broken, before the last dump, so if we broke it again it will be rock solid, there is no going back anymore from there, the real question is when the $1000 wall will be broken

I chose "less than a day" because it very seldom crosses any resistance (or support) point without at least a little back-and-forth.

Once it has seriously crossed $700 for more than a day, we probably won't see sub-$700 again, barring some unforeseen calamity like an exchange hack or as yet undiscovered vulnerability.

Have you seen this recent bitcoin price? after stuck for few days in $680-685, finally go through $690 even there is decline to coming.
After all, I think it could be break $700 in the near future and maybe last for 1-7 days.
 Just hope there are no problem with some exchanger get hacked anymore. ;D

it will surely fluctuate up and down after the break but it will eventually settle down above $700 and never come back down ever again.

We're close, but that doesn't mean we will see the price touch the $700 mark.

But if we do happen to go over $700, then I am fairly sure that we'll go back to sub $700 prices not long after that.

Price will go just above $700, then back down $10-15 and stay there for the next few days.

I do believe that once we reach $700, the jump to $750 is not far away.

All things considered, bitcoin is still way underpriced, and everyone is just observing the market, waiting for right moment to buy. The funny thing is that usually such
people would rather buy when the price already goes up, rather than make their own conclusions earlier on and actually making a more profitable choice.

I think if bitcoin break 700 USD, it will start climbing to 800 USD for the next months.  It will stay above 700 USD if there is no bad press happen.  Slowly gaining ground toward 800 USD by the end of 1st quarter of 2017.  There are lots of things that is happening which is good to bitcoin industry and there is almost no negative bad press upto this point after the bitfinex hacking.

That depends. If we have to fight hard, a drop back below 700 is very likely.But only until the next attempt will be made.
If we rush through it I can see us building a new bottom above the 700.
I mean right now the price on an average is 691 and it looks like we may try to pass that 700 barrier, or at least try to pass it, this weekend already.

A few days, then users will start dumping their coins that will drive the price down. ANd it will slowly go up again, then by that time, the price will stick to 700 and will slowly go higher than that.

If price starts to get correction just after reaching 700-710$, price may get corrected to even below than $700 so i will say 1-3 days for this case.

Another case can be price don't start to get correction before reaching $750, than i don't think price will see another dump below $700 without any drastic event to cause panic over traders.

It depends on many factors. First of all is China. Chinese has made many impacts to the Bitcoin world for the past few years. They also have the biggest mining system located in their country. As long as China continue to invest in bitcoin, the price is not only stable above $700, but also break $1000. Second, the economy, if there is no currency able to compete with bitcoin, Bitcoin will skyrocket to more than 1000$. Thus, i think bitcoin will stay above $700 for at least 6 months

Remember not to long ago, the price was above $700 and it stayed there for a while... so this is not a new break point. We are going into the

festive season, so I expect a increase in the price, because there will be a increase in the demand for coins building up to Xmas. We will also

There's no accurate and right answer for that. Obviously, we will just know the result once we reached that level.

It will depends on the situation on a given trend that will revolves and circulate around that price of $700 above. Expectations are different from valid speculations. So be ready on any output that will happen.


Correction for price range of $700 might take longer even bitcoin price breaches above it. It needs to build first the resistance around that price and short period of time isn't enough. The considerable correction as of the moment based on my own view, is $600 to $650. Above $650 is still on a test.

But like I siad, it will depend on a situation around that price.

a few minutes or hours I think. it's come a long way in a short time. that can't continue forever. I think it might settle in the 620-680 area for a while. or maybe it'll explode. who knows?

If bitcoin break "fast" $700 then it will not stay too long above $700 because I consider that what is achieved fast will go fast too, but if the price increases gradually then it will stay above for a longer time.

The answer to this question is just a bunch of guesswork, even for the best crystal ballers.  I'm loving that bitcoin is pushing $700, and my GUESS is that if it breaks that point it'll stay there for a while.  The price seems to have been quite stable as of late, and things are looking pretty rosy from where I stand.  It's a bull market, boys.  Get in whilst the gettin' is good.

I am optimistic bitcoin prices could increase steadily over 700USD. but when the price reaches 700USD bitcoin I would sell 50% of the bitcoin I have, because the price of 700USD already made my big profit. I do not want to take the risk because it could have bitcoin prices declined again.

I think it could break $700 and then have a pull back. It could drop 5 to 10% before rising again but there is really noway to tell. I do expect some kind of correction so though.

I think btc will enjoy mini pumps till a solid 1K after some really good news it will jump to 2-3k in 2017-2019

Theres no reason to have 700 as a magic number  ???  The value of dollar varies every day, the only reasoning to hold 700 special is same as any other human identification of a trend, like avoiding 13.   The world is bigger then this and 700 in USA is a totally uneven number is most other countries, I only hope it means nothing because then we know the global significance of bitcoins relies not on one country and we are progressing to proper distribution

$700 is just virtual threshold - majority of bitcoin trading is conducted using Chinese Renminbi. For them $700 limit is not important.
For now CNY price of BTC is exactly 4,667 and 5000 CNY will be $741 - and this is the price we might expect.

This time support around 700 will stack up. So yes I do think that bitcoin can hold 700. But remember nobody expected 550, and then the bitfinex hack happened.

In essence it's hard to say what will happen but it seems the october rise of 2016 is following up the rise of 2015

If bitcoin breaks the 700$ mark,it will stay on that price for a month before going upto 800$.
800$ will be the closing price this 2017,.

On Bitstamp $777 is important to watch as it is the 61.8% retracement from the all time high to $152 low. Also the June 17 high so expect resistance.

Price will rise until the end of the year, we'll see 900+. It won't go over 1000.

Price will crash in January 2017. Blood will flow in the street. We'll see 300, maybe 250. I did say blood will flow. In January 2017.

Iirc you've predicted stuff like this before, so I'm definitely going to consider this a possibility. I'm not sure if the rise is going yo keep going or if it is going to catch itself around $700 and hold there for a while. Preev is listing it as $700 and going back and forth from there, so it looks like the trend is slowing around $700.

The global appeal of bitcoin is on the rise and its being said that bitcoin transactions will more than triple in 2017, reaching 90 to 100 billion dollars. The way Bitcoin has consolidated in the last 30 months it is clearly evident that we are in for a steep price rise. Bitcoin is perceived as a safe haven investment, akin to gold. The fervour around bitcoin will increase, more so with increased adoption of the blockchain technology around the globe. I definitely see the $2000 level being breached in 2017 if not more.

Something like that, I don't think it'll hit that low though.  The interest will definitely die down, and we'll wait for the next spike.  January is usually slow for bitcoin.

I personally don't think it will go that high. My estimation is $750 as peak where after that the price will continue to plummet to just above the $600 level where it settles for the rest of this year.


You want to make things look worse than they in fact are. Do you seriously think with the activation of Segwit in sight, that the price will head that deep towards the South? Such prices will only happen if a major Chinese exchange gets hacked. That's when we might see the price dive below the $300 levels again. Without such scenario, we'll keep rising over a longer period of time.

I think it's hard to make such kind prognose. If to speak about me  - i would like the price would not seems frozen on this level around 700$ like it was before, bitcoin jumped around 600$ for a month, Today when i have saved around 0.25 BTC I would like to it's price just grow non stop hehe I definetly don't plan to buy any bitcoins, My plan is continue making bitcoins on the internet with commenting and gambling.

LOL is this 2013 going to 2014?  I doubt this stuff will happen.  The reason is that bitcoin price had a slow steady growth that does not happen in the year 2013.  It was fast growth resulting to a huge price bubble that the buy wall can't support.  And at this point it is different.  Price growth is slow and steady with a good  buy suppor from the base users.

don't hold your breath. it's becoming less volatile over time. maybe that's because there hasn't been much demand, I dunno. I think it could go back to that if there was a massive overshoot over $1000, but other than that i'd be surprised if it went that low. maybe late 500s.

I think in 200 days it'll dip below $700 again briefly. Why? Something always happens. Some exchange will get hacked and the general public won't understand what that means and boom, Bitcoin price was affected.

It'll go up until winter, and then it'll drop again by the next spring. The summer will come with a moderate price and the winter of 2017 will come with a big, big surprise for us.

I don't buy it. that implies regular Chinese people are getting into bitcoin to save themselves. if that was the case then the price would go stratospheric. I doubt there's any new people coming in in large numbers.

the Chinese exchanges are probably filled with westerners looking for low fee action and greater leverage. and they want more bitcoin, not a currency hedge.

I haven't seen one single mainstream ish article acknowledge that Chinese bitcoin stats are all bullshit because of the zero fee exchanges. they all claim 90% of bitcoin transactions are in china and they lead the way. nope. it's 1 chinese guy doing 90 times more transactions than an American who actually has a use for it.

I have no idea how long bitcoin will stay above $700 since bitcoin price is volatile.  It depends in the coming days if there is no bad press then possible that it will stay there for sometime.  It can be the new floor for bitcoin or maybe we can see another correction and see bitcoin at $670 to $690 bracket.

I don't need to because you already know that price would have been dropped to bottom if the buy support isnt good for bitcoin for the last 30 days.  The graph you shown is just a data of transaction not the actual buy support in the market.  Besides your chart is the past and not the present situation of bitcoin.

that is right but that is called exceptions and we all know that exceptions don't make a rule. besides it has already been proven than a huge hack like the bitfinex hack can not even keep the price down longer than a very short time.

you see buy support on an orderbook not on the transaction charts and certainly not on the chart for number of transactions per block!!!

That is not easy to answer. According to experiences it could continue rising and keep under 700$ for a month or two but it could also fall down in a next day or few. Many factors on the market influence on that. And if we could predict how the price will move there would be no sense in volatility.
I hope it will stay above 700 and that and the end of the year we would reach 800 or 900.

I'm sure in the next few days the price of bitcoin had dropped below the slightly $ 700. But it's natural because I'm sure the price of bitcoin will be back and rise beyond $ 700. Fluctuations of bitcoin was certainly there but I'm sure the price of bitcoin will continue to grow.

Not "regular" people - they're not doing anything at all. And the really rich are all buying property outside of China to hide their money. But the small group who are into cryptocurrency will be buying bitcoin, they're already in the space so it's the easiest action for them (trying to go to Macau to change yuan into dollars is too difficult).

I'm not sure. It may as well just stay up there for like 3 months or something and come back down again. It's all unpredictable at this moment to be honest. Really can't predict anything that happens with BTC.

Its truly unpredictable since price for now are blantly growing up and we cannot really say when it would last nor if it still pump but the good thing happen there is we are quitely high earners for now since bitcoins are quitely expensive at price, so i think we can expect for more up since the price satisfactory rate is quitely outstanding, and lets hope also that we can't see some bad price down so the high profits is still up on the top.

Now bitcoin is still above, and one day i saw bitcoin has cross $750, but till in the end bitcoin come back $700, but also it is good news that bitcoin not low back $700.
