Title: Loan scam. Let the games begin!
Post by: lophie on April 04, 2013, 12:26:44 AM

Hello. This is a lending scam. But more like a gamble. You might profit from this. But again. You might lose.

Only the first sender (In Each Round) will get his coins back with interest. Don't send any coins for the same round after it until the next round starts. If a transaction is already pending! I would probably send your coins back unless I was too lazy for that and I am mostly lazy.

Each round I will increase the amount and interest. As well as the collateral of course. Eventually I will scam you and run with the coins. But I might not do that at all and this may turn out to be some kind of a charity to promote rational trust and proper valuation of risk. But again, It could be a scam!

Current round (2/?):

    - Lend amount: 0.01BTC EXACTLY!
    - Interest return: 10% interest within few minutes. I "promise".
    - Current collateral: My forum reputation.

Next round (3/?):

    - Lend amount: 0.01BTC EXACTLY!
    - Interest return: 20% interest within few minutes. I "promise".
    - Current collateral: My forum reputation.

Sending loans to the address: 1Az7rzoVULCRbCRuSeYWc3AQyWFKuq5L9T

Added Rules:

     - Round time is indefinite. But I am here all the time unless I am asleep and I start by checking my own threads first. Again, This could be a scam *_^.
     - The same forum ID is prohibited from giving the loan for the next 2 rounds. To make sure nobody is hugging this scam.
     - The un-declared transactions are considered a donation to this scam cough"Faucet" cough so I won't be paying all the interest from my own pocket. Come on share some love ^_^.

Donations to the scam: 0.04BTC
(Any un-declared coins or amounts not equal the round requested Loan are considered a donation to the cause)

p.s. I need an escrow for the collateral of the next more serious rounds. Any credible and trustworthy escrow. Please come forth.

Another p.s.: No need to rush tx if your gains are LESS than the tx fees in first place. So don't pay transaction fees! or pay as less as your client allows (Satoshi full node is over rated for daily use anyway {<_<}, Electrum and Bitcoin spinner works just fine)!

Dude.... you paid fees..... so you are losing money even with the 1% interest... -_-.

Payback tx: f31b1e0ad49cc963b828f3c62843695d910572dfce8d786fd34323926ccb2f27 (https://blockchain.info/tx/f31b1e0ad49cc963b828f3c62843695d910572dfce8d786fd34323926ccb2f27)

Paid 0.00151BTC, The loan + the tx fees you paid -_-! + the 1%.

Sorry I was a bit late. Hence the lazy part :P.

Use electrum it doesn't force 0.0005BTC I paid 0.0001. This is a game. No need to waste money on tx fees to rush them to the chain.

Round one done. Lets the games continue!

Wow!  I was paid back!

Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 4/3/2013 20:11
Credit: 0.00151 BTC
Net amount: +0.00151 BTC
Transaction ID: f31b1e0ad49cc963b828f3c62843695d910572dfce8d786fd34323926ccb2f27

I made 0.00001 BTC, or 13 cents.  This came from lophie's own pocket.  He is now out 0.0051 BTC, or 65 cents.

He will now use this successful transaction to build reputation.  Let's watch and see what happens...

Spread the love not FUD-craft  ;D. Besides it is clearly an honest mistake on your end to pay the tx fees. I felt bad to be the reason for that. Dude if the chain was designed to destroy the tx fees instead of giving them to the miner I would probably have commuted suicide by now.

I have my own reasons to create this game but I assure you gaining reputation is not one. however explaining a joke ruins it. So I am going to open this question's real answer to speculation.

If you really feel bad, make me whole again and send the 0.0005btc I paid.  That will earn you one "Great transaction - will lend again!" post in this thread!

Yes, you paid the 0.0005 in the agreement.  Thank you.   :)

I'm saying refund the transaction fee I paid - 0.0005 to make me whole.

@mlawrence

You got me utterly confused here. Where in the OP I mentioned returning the tx fees that the lender used to send me coins?

You sent me 0.001BTC but you paid 0.0005BTC fees. You were entitled to 0.00101BTC But I sent you 0.00151BTC to cover the 0.0005BTC that you lost due to fees.

Where did I get this wrong again?

Hey. The best of scams are cooked on a very slow fire......

Hence BTC is not a scam since it is burning bright the entire planet (<- Epic logic :S)

Seriously if you thought 1% was 50%.... you really need some sleep.... I am not Pirate40

It was 1% for round one and now it is 2% for round two. I got some donations for awesome people to the cause. I am would be using that to pay off the interest.

maybe you should avoid the term 'scam' just to give it a more serious touch. it doesn't sound like it's even worth to take a look at it...

But it is the whole point of what I am doing. It is a charity faucet to promote being rational about decisions and not rush to FUD or some sweet talking.

Why would some newcomers think Bitcoin is a ponzi and why would some get scammed by someone sweet talking about how a prominent and well established member he/she is?

The repetition of such words like "Scam" and "trustworthy" would eventually make them lose their value and make people open their eyes to the "facts" and not just FUD or false accusations.

So this is what this is all about (or is it *_^)

Even in the light of all the warnings and mass publicity regarding scam (https://personalmoneynetwork.com/) protection, scamming has continued to be a major problem today. The more light and publicity that shines on these illegal acts in order to protect the public, the more clever these scammers get in their schemes. If you want to stay out of their clutches, be aware and do not take risks with your money and personal information.

What?
