We also like to see how indicators are suggesting price correction.

We may see price correction for sure however as we have now already left $700 and seems heading towards $800 i think price will not get corrected and this pump may continue till other forex market get opened.

All indicators shows that it is time to leave the train.

SHORTS OPENED..

at least post from an alt account or go to your history and delete all the crap that you have been saying on the way up:

some examples with dates all during the rise and before the rise:
Price will drop.  Soon.  Hard.
Yes bitcoin will fall to 500$ before it will reach 700$.
As I said  two weeks ago. South was right direction.
Bull trap.  No volume.
No volume at current "cheap"  price means that price must go down to get more buying volume.

Expect price below 500$.

in other words even if you are by a small chance of 1 in a trillion right, your word has 0 value since you have been wrong from the start.

Yep, correction coming soon. If I would "daytrade" I also would short now. But my coins are on a paper wallet and I burned my fingers many times by speculating. My gut says $700 will not last long but of course we also can see $800 soon. I´m not hyped  8)

And what indicators might those be?
Currencies around the world being inflated?
Banks nearing collapse?
Gold and Silver rising?

If you look at Bitcoin like a stock, you are going to get burned again and again.

Haha this is an alt. An alt of kwukduck hahahahaha. Of course there's going to be a correction after we hit the high point (whatever that's going to be) but it's not like a huge crash is imminent at this point. OP is just your typical troll. That post was based literally on nothing.

Why are you even on this website? You know this is Bitcointalk right? Rofl. If you hate it so much then leave.

I agree. It is rising too fast for it too keep stable.
A crash in the price is going to happen after something like this happens.
A hard crash is my prediction on the price that's going to happen before the month's end.

Gotta love this place.

The price creeps up 4% from about $685 to $715 and some people have visions of rocket trains dancing in their heads.

Others foresee hard crashes and dream of burning buildings  and sinking ships.

It's just 4% for crissake. Does everybody have a short memory?

Remember the days of the 3000% rise followed by a 93% drop in 2011 or the 2200% rise followed by an 81% drop in early 2013 or the 1200% rise followed by an 85% drop in late 2013/early 2014?

Even this spring's 78% rise and ensuing 41% drop were considerable.

4%? LOL.

Why selling anyways? Just buy and hold for 10 years like stocks.

No, you must be wrong, it is a journey toward $800 price levels before making any U turn. Because 200 days moving averages showing a strong resistances zone round $800 so after testing $800+ levels we may witness a slight pull back up to $650 price levels.

If you short now, you maybe enforced to wait significantly longer periods to book profits or to come out with no loss or profits.

Well you cant  convince  anyone here  though to  hold for  long terms because i suppose  these  members are  short traders  on  bitcoin which they  would sell of their bitcoin when they saw already gains  on their  money. Just as mentioned  by some members  4% growth isnt bad at all and its better  to see this price movement  compared  to those  have  hard  pumps and   hard dumps.

this topic is clear example of FUD from users like OP and kuakduck which may very well be the same guy with different accounts.

a drop is always expected after a rise, there is no need for indications, so the part about indicators is full of crap. then again any drop that comes after a rise is small as long as the demand for the coin is there and it is strong for bitcoin, which means a drop will be small and it has already happened without anybody even noticing.

Why no one is buying now?  10$ cheaper than yesterday?  No money in the pocket?

It IS FALLING and this is just a beginning.

Traders  would surely wait a  little  more before  they  do tend  to  buy  bitcoin  again  because   the lower it is the  more  profit they would gain if the price  of bitcoin would  rise again. Falling prices are  just  normal though because  people would  surely  sell off  their bitcoins when they  gain  profits.

When we are having more number of exchanges to trade bitcoin, definitely we could not expect huge volumes on every exchanges. There are a lot of supporting news keep on coming every day, one important news which triggered up side surge must be recent Swiss railway announcement of selling bitcoin through their ticket machines.

I do not expect any downfall till $800 or even $850 price levels.

Like his past posts and predictions this one didn't come true, maybe he is really alt of kwackaduck he is pessimist also. And he also constantly share his thoughts about bitcoin crash, big drop and other similar things.
I don`t think price will drop, it`s going up and it`s seems like nothing can stop it now. New record is here ( I can be totally opposite from them and be way more optimistic then they are pessimistic ), and it will be big surprise when we hold that record. From my point of view anything can happen, even that.

Wouldn't it be better to keep it on long position for a while? I mean there are no dark clouds on the Bitcoin horizont for now. We can't predict the future exactly and the fall down is always possible but at this very moment there is no fear for it. So I would go for long.

I was thinking similar.. who opens a short in a range that has never been support or resistance.. that is just suicide.  When it crosses $1000 okay.. maybe.. when it comes close to the ATH ya short it hard..

This is the first time we have been in the 680-720 range for over what.. 2 days? .. 6 hours? lol.

That's the true fact with bitcoin. When the price increases while users don't expect it, on a hurry users tend to sell some and get some profit. Such activities keeps the bitcoin circulation increased and steep rise happens and the fall in price happens. Right now the scenario is not that, price increase is due to the increasing adoption and increasing direct acceptance of bitcoin.

so far the price has been ONLY rising and kept above $700 with absolutely NO crash unless you consider a $10 correction drop as a crash.

Hi kids. I was out of internet in the mountains.

In the meantime my orders worked fine for me. Everything worked by the book. So:

  • short position opened ~ $720 was closed at ~ $690
  • long opened at ~ $685 was closed at ~ $740

So let's say around $80 per bitcoin in green. Leveraged :)

Thank you all.

  • short position opened ~ $720 was closed at ~ $690
  • long opened at ~ $685 was closed at ~ $740

So let's say around $80 per bitcoin in green. Leveraged :)

Thank you all.

Some day you might want to actually prove your claims.

Maybe someday I'll share my trades from 2013 where I repeatedly sold and releveraged during the rally from $140 to $1200, making a total profit of 3000%.

The time line does make this move quite possible. I just find it odd to short expecting just a 5% correction.

When I opened first short I honestly expected drop to 660. Then when I saw that panic has gone, expected another spike down.

Luckily it happened as I expected.

The price will crash after a huge spike fomo buy-in followed by a double top, this is not the buying spree yet...
How can we say this is not the buying spree when we are aready in the ember month.
This is the time that people use to buy lots of bitcoin not ony for trading to make profit but also to make purchases for the end of year festivals and celebrations, this usually increases the demand for bitcoin and consequently its price.

I actually shorted pair ETH/USD.  Why?  Because I expect BTC to move up and ETH down.

I am actually also not very bullish for the short-term.  We went up fast and hit resistance.  Some consolidation (we might not drop a lot though) is in order before we go to Mars.

Geez, we have gone up like $70 over 11 days. That's not "going up too fast"
You acting like a little girl now.
    You were saying?
Edit: btw, I bought back in again, even though this correction might go lower, the upside potential is too big to take the risk.

    Rule number one. Hodl

Generally that is sound advice. Any dips in price should be viewed as an opportunity to buy more. I know this sounds funny when you give this same advice for altcoins. With Bitcoin it is not. There is already a market where value transfer is needed and there are more markets out there that have yet to be discovered.

He definitely scratching  his   head right  now   this thread  been  created  last month where  the  bitcoins price  is still  low . As we can see on the   bitcoins price it indeed  increase  up to $740+ and  now  it dipped backed  to $700 and  somehow stabilizing  as  of  this  moment.  Patience  would  somehow  make a big role regarding  on trading  because   it would really pays  you off  .

A lot of people won't have extra money to invest in BTC because they just spent it on a new TV or Playstation/ Xbox.
Add that to the recent problems with transactions getting confirmed, and we're probably going to see another dip back to $700.
Followed, a week later, by a rise back to $750, like its been going all month LOL.  ;D

That is a good forecast to predict on what will happen after this spending spree is over with. But what happened last year with the price is not the same as what is going on this year. So by Christmas time it just might be the opposite of what happened with the price as well. Only time will tell. But it would be great if it did go back to nearer to $750 instead of sliding back to $700 every 7 hours or so.

All who went short should be closing them now. It would be a mistake to continue to do so and keep on hoping that it will go the other way one day. Maybe it would, but by that time the price might already be too high and it was better to hold and go long in the first place.

Different strokes for different folks. I prefer when the market bears me a nice profit on my holdings.

    Added some more shorts.

BULL trend IS OVER. Mark my words.

You keep adding more shorts, when Bitcoin looks like it is going to break out.
When do you plan on closing them? Once they bankrupt you?  :)

He is always short I would guess! No matter how bullish the market is, ask goes short! :D
And when he was lucky 1 out of 10 times he will say "I told you so".
I stopped reading his predictions and comments or taking it serious in any way because it often makes him look ridiculous.
But hey this is speculation here and everyone is free to believe whatever he wants. But what I hate is when someone tries to influence the community with some shitty comments.

I told you so. Sell we are going under 700$

annndddddddd, it's ~$767 now.... have u sold all your bitcoins?

some people here are just too overconfident sometimes.

Todays is above $770 preev price and as per my calculation we can see very soon the bitcoin price above $800 in very short time. So who ever is in short position should cancel it so they can cut their losses

Have you closed your short or are you still waiting?
If there's any significant leverage involved on this short I recommend the suicide watch hotline now, before it's too late.

Lack of an update has me wondering if he killed himself yet?

Shorting in a bull-market with low swings is very risky, is it really worth that risk to earn a few bucks?

There are always people who going for max risk max profits...but i dont think Ask is that kind of hardcore gambler.

In a few days when we might correct again a bit, due to some oscillators which may be too high in terms of TA, he will come back and call out for the bear market continuing and that we all got bull trapped! :D
Man sometims this place here can be so extremely funny!

Now we have high bitcoin prices, some are thinking about selling. No one knows if it will scale more or bitcoins price will go down, but opening short positions now has an high risk. In my opinion is time to wait and see, keep your bitcoins on cold storage for the future.

Of course it's not worth the risk, unless you can watch the market very closely, then the risk is manageable.
I don't short these days, am waiting for a clear signal to start shorting, and I saw none yet.

    For once, we agree :D

Also, people in here throw around the term 'shorting' to simply mean 'sell in order to re-buy at a lower price'. And while the amplitude of swings in the past year has been somewhat lower than in the years before, there's still plenty of room for momentum traders to take advantage of these swings -- iff they are willing to watch the market closely, and don't get too attached to a position that, by all current signs, sits against the larger trend.

I don't have time and/or nerves at the moment to do so, but to pretend that the only option right now is to hodl until price reached a new ATHis book talking, imo, not genuine trading advice or discussion.

Do you still have your short position? Looks like Bitcoin won't stop rising. Nothing to stop it. Countries are flocking to it.

It would be stupid of him to come back and say that this is a bull trap. First of all he made a mistake, so anyone believing him now is as stupid as him or maybe they are trolling. Second, this is not a bull trap. A bull trap happens when a market is going down, not up.
