Title: ZCash hashing speed ! what you get , what you using , (wallet/pool/hardware)

"Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480)"
Anyone get close 45 sol/s on his(her) RX480 ? I tried different rigs , different brand RX480 , custom rom/original rom but can not get more than 19-21 sol/s

there is a example how to share your zcash mining setup ,it will be helpful for another members :)

Operation Sysytem :  Win 10 64bit
Wallet : Kranken
Miner : genoil-zec-miner-0.3.2 / zcashclient-0.1.1
Speed : 20-21sol/s                    19-21sol/s
Pool: http://zcash.flypool.org/
VGA Card(s) GPU/Mem: Msi Gaming RX480 8gb / Gigabyte rx480 8gb / Nitro rx480 8gb / xfx rx480 8gb
VGA driver : 16.7.1 and up on different rigs
Bat or start file settings :
genoli : genoil.exe -c eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u "your_t_address.rig1" -p z

first shot at it:

nicehash miner, converting to BTC
win 7 x64
g3140 cpu @ ~6.5sol/s
H97 mobo
2x GTX 1070 @ ~35/ea
3x R9 270X @ ~6/ea

total is about 88 sol/s. i feel like i can get more from the amd cards though

edit: after ~4hrs its averaged about 84sol/s. I can live with that, but i expect a good miner could get >10sol/s from a 270x

can anyone tell me what the I/s stands for in the hash rate?

How my sol's look for my configuration?

Did further testing and my processor gets 16 Sol/s by itself.  That means my cards are not near what they should be getting with nheqminer at all.

I'm getting that hash rate with my 3x RX 480 8 GB's, and you are getting the same hash rate with comparatively less model graphics cards, so your hash rate seems pretty good to me.

I confirm it. They're pushed at about 60% of their power and they're running at around 40% of their TDP.

Even if you buy one, they cancel after a short time (my case).
I'm talking about the 24 h contracts. I ordered one ( 0.1 kSol/s) and after 1 hour they cancel my order and refund my bitcoins.

Is anyone here mining with Windows and R9 Nano (or maybe Fury)?

Under Linux, Silent Army developers talk from "44 - 45 Sol with R9 Nano possible".
If I start one mining task, every Nano delivers 22-23 Sol - half of the desired hasrate above, fine.
But if I start a second task, the Nanos drop down to 2x 15-16 Sol - far away from 44-45 Sol.

Any experiences or ideas?

After 2 days of fighting with the "bugs" of Supernova ZEC pool,  I came to the conclusion that this pool is a big scam! First, they selectively pay to someone, and to others don't pay at all. The balance is ''unconfirmed" for 2 days!!! Second, their site is down every couple of minutes pretedning to be upgrading, thus preventing users to control what is going on. And third, most of the workers are "unauthorized" which leads to hashing for someone else's profit. From my 50 workers, only 2 are 'authorised' to work and the shares are accepted. I don't see any confirmed balance on these workers either! >:( :o ??? I believe that this is an outrageous scam robbery!!!!

I'm using zec.suprnova.cc from the beginning for mining zcash . I never had a problem with them . Every pool have some basic problems , the zcash mining is in a "slow-start" period during the first 20,000 blocks (about 34 days)  where the block reward linearly increases to 12.5 ZEC. This is designed to reduce the impact of a potential negative event like "a major bug" or "security vulnerability and another possible problems . Also it's give a time to pool owners , wallet service providers to fix any issue .
If you have a unauthorized worker error msg , you need to delete the .bin files or chace files from your miner folder , restart your pc and wait a few minutes ... that maybe help fix ur problem .
Yes they have some trouble with website , so what u see there that maybe not accurate, same thing happening with another pools . They working hard to fix all the issue , what they discovered in the past few days .
What I know I have 850-900 KH/s hashing power directed to that pool , and zcash coins showing up in my wallet as is expected.

I get many payouts. The payouts work set it to what you want. I have about 80 Sol/s and set my payout to around .005.  I got a good payout of .00749 today before 24 hours.. sitting in Polo waiting for it to ramp up again.  Miners are idiots there is more buy orders than there is coins for selling.  They start panic selling and cause price drop to below 1 BTC.  The morons sell all they have.. than the buyers start buying from the smart miners and price gets back over 2 BTC's again.. I sold my .004x coins for 2.8 BTC yesterday.

It was hilarious the price went from .7 to over 3 BTC in about an hour's time. it just skyrocketed once the moron miners threw away there coins.. LOL

Operation Sysytem :  Win 10
Miner : Genoil 4.1 set on a 200 second restart (v5 kills the drivers regularly so had to roll back).
Speed : 170-250 (very variable)
Pool: suprnova
VGA Card(s): 6 x Sapphire nitro 8gb rx480s - default bios (eth bios very unstable with amd drivers)
Bat or start file settings: default
CPU: i7 haswell something (upgraded this today made a huge difference, as well as changing from 1 x 4 gig ddr3 to 2 x 8 gig)
CPU Mining Speed : not mining

Suprnova - seems very reliable, struggled with coinsforall but extremal was very helpful.

Bat or start file settings :
genoil : genoil.exe -c eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u "adress" -i 20 -w 64 ( other combination of -i and -w causes instant crash of miner, some combinations throw down drivers )

CPU :Intel pentium G3254@4,4GHz 1,250V
CPU Mining Speed :5-6 sol/s

I´m not mining at CPU now because it drops solrate at GPU to 30-40 sol/s

Power draw in wall socket meter is around 600W, which is nice change from 975-1020W upon ETH.
Good hunting of sol/s  :) ;D

Is anyone here mining with Windows and R9 Nano (or maybe Fury)?

Under Linux, Silent Army developers talk from "44 - 45 Sol with R9 Nano possible".
If I start one mining task, every Nano delivers 22-23 Sol - half of the desired hasrate above, fine.
But if I start a second task, the Nanos drop down to 2x 15-16 Sol - far away from 44-45 Sol.

Any experiences or ideas?

I have the same experience. I use with Windows 8.1 and Criomson 16.9.2. It is much lower than 44.

Operation Sysytem :  Win 7 pro 64bit
Wallet : poloniex
Miner : genoil 0.6
Speed : theory ~240S/s, actual on pool sometimes goes up to 260-275.
Pool: flypool
VGA Card(s) GPU/Mem: 4x Sapphire RX470 8Gb, 2x Sapphire RX470 4Gb, 2x R390X, 3 rigs total
VGA driver : 16.9 + 16.10
Bat or start file settings : not using -k zec zec except on the R390Xs where it's stable
CPU (if you mining with cpu): I get 7.5 on a Core i5, 18 on a 1st gen i7 (stopped using it, impacted the GPU hashrate)
CPU Mining Speed : 10S/s (using the i5 + experimenting on a virtual machine on an ESX with an Atom, get around 2.5 out of it)

I have

i3 2120 CPU 3.30 GHZ,
Nvidia GeForce 210,
4 GB of RAM-a
Windows 10
and when start any kind of zcash miners it just crashes and gone from a desktop.

What is problem here pls any body?

your gpu driver is out of date for mining.. and theres no newer version available to make it workin

just turn off gpu mining and stick to cpu.. it will work then

Why do you want to buy an R7 370 ? It's pretty useless unless you take it in 4Gb version, but if you do so, you better take an RX 470 because of the price.

MOBO: MSI PRO 110H -D
CPU: I3 6100 DUALCORE + DUAL HYPERTHREAD
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 G.SKILL
GPU: NONE YET (WAITING FOR THAT RX 460)

I get 3 Sol/s from first CPU and about 5.5 Sol/s from second cpu
Mining at Zecsupernova.cc pool through nicehash nqe miner

Based on what I have seen here, I should not regret, it's a good power to get about 9 sol/s with only cpu mining.

I'm using 2 rigs, both using the simpleminer OS (custom linux build from simpleminer.com) and the optiminer Mining software.

1st rig is 2x 290, 2 x 290x, 1 x 390  -  820 sol/s

2nd rig is 3 x 290, 2x 380  -  620 sol

Also using a python based cuda miner using silent army in Win10 with a gtx 1070 (overclocked memory +500) getting about 88 sol
Same computer using a forked nheqminer with silent army on 3 threads of a core i5 4690k gets 17 sol

Mining to a poloniex exchange wallet, all miners pointed to nanopool.

coinmine.pl features 7,702 workers with some whopping 5,130,227.894 Sol/s or let's calculate 666 Sol/s on each.

... ask the devil why they are so much more efficient. I smell fish.

one worker can have unlimited number of Rigs/GPUs under it so your math are meaningless

I would say I can get a very nice numbers from my (average) system.
Everything is in factory settings, because I have problem with cooling, so I can't really go higher.
If I would solve a better cooling, I could get even higher sol/s on the current hardware.

OS :  Win 10 64bit
Wallet : pool wallet
Miner : EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner / Version 0.0.6b
Speed : 40-50 sol/s
Pool: zcash.flypool.org
VGA Card GPU/Mem: GTX 760 2GB
VGA driver : 376.33 nvidia driver, CUDA 8.0
Bat : miner.exe --server eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 --user address.user --pass x --port 3333

CPU : Intel Core i5 4670 3,40GHz

So can anybody tell me is it still worth mining this coin?
Or better switch back to ETH?
Im getting 28Sols on I7 @ 4.2ghz
And 70 from an GTX680 default clocks
while a GTX 450 does only 14-15

Kr

These two cards are not good for mining anyway.

(I am a noob but what do the acronyms or abbreviations "PL" and "Core" and "Mem" mean?)

I have several more noob questions:

What kind of Power Supply Unit (PSU) are you using?

What kind of motherboard are you using?

And how much RAM do you have on that motherboard?

Are you using USB PCI extender cables and/or do you think that efficiency would be significantly crippled if your were to do so?

I am looking to setup a very similar rig however on Linux, I am considering putting 6 GTX 1070s on a single motherboard with a 1500W PSU. Do you have any advice or comments on whether this rig with 6 GPU would be an efficient setup?

Thanks for all the help in advance!

If you want to have a mining rig for mining altcoins you have to buy a good motherboard which supports at least 3 graphic cards(up to six I know) (one such being Asrock H81 PRO BTC).

You need to have a really good PSU, 1200-1500 Watt EVGA or any other well known brand.

You can make this rig with 6GTX 1070 with the same motherboard I have suggested (just read a bit more in google) and a 1500 W PSU should do better. A better one would be 6 RX 480 since they are cheaper and consume less energy and hash power for mining zec is almost the same.

I have no clue about the extenders though.

I would like to get into mining so these specs are just what I will follow to get into it and start mining ZEC with.
But one question would be: Would I need more than just 1500 Watt ps if I wanted to put 6x1070 cards on one board? Don't they take more than 250 watts of power each? Just to be on the safe side to not be stingee if I want to overclock them for more hash power. ;D

if you want to overclock your card for mining to get better hashrate, its better if you learn how to undervolt your cards if you have to pay for eletricity :) , if you dont have to pay for electricity , ignore my suggestion ;) but you should consider all this :

For calculating your mining income , possible profitability you need to know a few things :

How much $ is your mining PC ?
What is the total power draw for your system at the wall ?
How much $/kwh you paying for electricity included tax and another fees ?
What is the max hashrate you can get from ur rig ?
What wallet / exchage you going to use (what % they charging you for exchange ) ?
What mining software are you going to use ? ( its free or have some % developer fee )
What pool are u going to use ? ( pool fee% )
What ROI (return of investment) do you prefer ...

what any of the calculators telling you today , that is just for today ... if the difficulty going higher , your ROI can be doubled easy and ur mined coin going to be less ....
when you have all this information , you can use any mining calculator
there is a few example's :
for eth:

for zcash:

for xmr

Electricity costs wont be considered a problem in the area I live in. ;)
So give me an alternative scenario for the maximum hash rate with overclocking these cards.

Hi, new here!
Just started mining two days ago.  Getting just over 11,000 Sol/s

https://i.imgur.com/9YvedXE.png

I run a lan gaming center.  Recently upgraded all the video cards to GTX 1060 so I thought I'd give crypto mining a try.
Using the "NiceHash EQM Zcash NVIDIA optimized Miner eqm_v1.0.4c_Win64"
