Title: GBP out of Mt.Gox..
Post by: monsterlime on April 04, 2013, 11:14:13 AM
Hello!  Also, I'm an idiot.  Wish I had read this forum before I used Mt.Gox, but oh well, whats done is done.

Sold some Bitcoins on Mt.Gox and so now have GBP funds in my account there.

What is the best way to get the cash out?  I have seen that someone managed to do a Bank Transfer using Euro's into their account, but am currently stumped on how to convert the GBP into Euro's on the Mt.Gox site.  Or should I just bite the bullet and use the AurumXchange?

Can I move the funds using a code into a slightly more user friendly site (like BitStamp, wish I had gone there first, but you live and learn) and then transfer out?

Many Thanks!

funding Options
withdraw funds
add withdraw method
bank transfer

[add your bank account details - be carefull and make sure you get everything correct use your IBAN code for your account]
this will take a day [or less] to appear

then transfer to your bank, your  bank will convert from GBP to Eur...
then wait a couple of days.

or setup sell orders on GBP and then buy orders on Euro

Thanks, unfortunately I've already tried the Bank Transfer method, it got cancelled as the funds weren't in Euro's.

I assume re the sell/buy orders you mean sell GBP for bitcoins and buy Euro's with bitcoins?

Thanks

Oh, there are 2 options in the Bank Transfer.  Euro or International.  Now I don't remember which one I chose!  Doh.

I've set a 2nd one up as International and will give that one a go.

Hi Im not sure where you have gone wrong but I've had 2 payments from MtGox come through in the last 7 days, both in £.

They take about £14 fees off each payment which is pretty good if you are transferring £1000+ which I presume you would be doing.

Take care
Alex
