What are the coins with large development teams?

The open source ones. Their developement teams are unlimted in size.
Anyone can make a contribution to an open source project.

I think it would make more sense to ask "which coin has the most open developement?" or "highest numbers of different contributers".

A "big dev team" doesn't mean jack shit. Also "large funding" doesn't matter at all, it can even be counterproductive.
Things aren't always intuitive.

ICONOMI has some of the best developers I'm aware of, unfortunately the coin has not picked up yet...

Visiting the ANN thread and find which project with successful crowdfunding, a lot of them are having a large of the team for running their project. and choose your interested one with.

Iconomi, Decent, Antshares are some project with large of the dev teams.

I don't think it is about quantity of the teams, it is the quality and talent they bring to the table. Consensus and Bitcoin core team stand out for me.

I think that iconomi and ark have a large development team and I think they will expand more if their project is going good, other coins haven't checked in detail but maybe and lisk should have a large team too.

because i see many changes in the blockchain of bitcoin official wallet year by year .
so may be the bitcoin has large development team .

I agree with ICONOMI and other Ethereum based coins. Blockchain/bitcoin is also number one. We are very grateful for this amazing devs,they keep the system running and keep on innovating.No one wants bitcoin collapse suddenly in one day.

i was going to ay the same iconomi is shitty ico, no real value aside from the initial pump and dump to screw little fish, better to focus on small well know team that are delivering since years, like those from spreadcoin

Those that made a crowdfunding with ICO and have money to hire developers.  
Some coins had a premine that was put in development found and they can also afford to hire more developers.
Some have that part of miners reward goes in developers found.
Some have that part of miners reward go to those that crowdfund their development.  
Some coins development base solely on donations from their members.


Only such crypto project can afford it.

most coins have just a few names in their website/whitepaper/ANN thread but a BIG team behind.
If it is a big project, it's almost impossible to be made by just a few. they just dont compromise with others, working only as free lancer or something like.

what is a "large development team" to you? 5? 10? 50?

it's one thing to claim you have a large team, it's quite another to actually prove it. i've seen some ridiculous claims. it seems some coins have more developers than actual users. actually, that's probably most of them.

In my opinion bitcoin is still has a large development team,all merchants,people,miner who takes parts in the promotion and continuation of bitcoin are part of the development team and we are all part of it since this is a forum about bitcoin..

What about IOTA? for me it seems like only a single guy is coding everything, but then again the system is so complex i doubt it would be possible as a one-man-show...
Anyone knows how much people are actually involved in the developing process of IOTA?

iconomi dev use ethereum token,
so is good coin in large development team, this coin another people can create coin use system
example counterparty,etherum,madsafecoin and more, another people can create coin use token system

In my opinion the with large development teams is ethereum ETH because always there are many update on tweeter i have followed them, and ETH is not has large development teams only but they have large bagholder too of course with much money.

It seems Ripple have plenty of development budget at their disposal, almost certainly they have the largest development team compared to other cryptocurrencies.

who are these devs and how are they better than say vb,dz, btc core devs  and others?

It's just not a cryptocurrency

i am not sure about this, because there are many coins have large development teams and i can count one by one of them and the matter is not about the large teams, but how solid the teams work for their coins and make the coins is more growth by time to time.

with a big enough team you get to have an organized work culture and a solid proposal if you are having a vision about the project and most of the good projects announced in the ANN thread have large number of members in their team .

It's all about lines of code...
CfB is BCNext who bootstrapped NXT out of nothing in 2013...
IOTA is the followup and much easier (because CfB has all of the NXT muppets on board).

They had a great start back then we all thought they can challenge bitcoin,they are still on the top spot they can do this development because they have a huge premine to dispose ..

And of course with large amount of comunity and investors on the coins, without them i think the coins will not growing up because the coins need comunity and developer of coins need donation for building the coins. And The investors need increase the price of coins.

That is a funny one,there guys working from their kitchen,guess they started working from their kitchen and now they have moved on to a new office by now,everyone does have a modest beginning.  :)
