Title: Which btc service with card withdrawal option to choose?
Post by: Olga.S on November 04, 2016, 03:46:17 PM
Hi everyone! I’m a newbie here and need your help. I’m from Europe and I’m looking for a reliable bitcoin service with a convenient card withdrawal option. I’ve read a lot of reviews and made my own little research of services’ popularity by the Traffic Overview
Engagement. So here’s a list of the today (4 Nov. 2016) most popular services, which offer card solutions for Europe :
1. Xapo (1.80M)
2. Cryptopay (296.60K)
3. Spectrocoin (203.90K)
4. Coinsbank - former bit-x (168.20K)
5. Wirex - former e-coin (147.10K)
Xapo seems to be really popular, but maybe it’s because of the business solution option. Which one will you suggest and why. Looking forward to your advices.

Our exchange provides card withdrawals, and if you withdraw less than 10000 Euro, you don't even have to pass ID verification.
Currently, we are only support Euro, but USD implementation is being wrapped up. We'll roll out USD support in November. After that, we will implement more fiat currencies.

CoinsBank should be your option If all of the other mentioned services get hacked/closed or whatever. I had an issue lately with them , posted it on their thread and no reply but they had time to post about their Blockchain party...
Wirex is having some issues too from what I can see on their topic , I personally didn't experience any as I only use virtual card , Spectrocoin is being accused of holding +100 BTC from a user right now so I don't recommend it too. Cryptopay and Xapo are your last options and If I had to choose I would go with Xapo as It's more known and exists for a longer time.

xapo = may ask for lots of personal details if you use your account with larger amount of bitcoin.
cryptopay = also need verification to lift your limitation but i like them rather than xapo and also have one.

Better be aware of spectrocoin there is active scam acquisitions against them, don't use them for now.

I haven't used other wirex, coinsbank yet so on conclusion i suggest you to have a deeper research on cryptopay and use them.

I'd also choose Cryptopay. I'm currently waiting for my card right now.  :P

What I like is that support is very responsive. (at least they were the several times I've got questions). They've got three currencies to choose from.(EUR,USDGBP). The fees are okay, with No monthly service fees IF there's no transaction for the month.
Otherwise, it's 1$/month. (I think they still have giveaway https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1384807.0 )

They do have options for verified and unverified, only thing is, the limits for the unverified one is quite LOW.  :(
@€400 Daily ATM withdrawal limit, and with only a €2500 Max Lifetime Load Limit.  :( (For verified=unlimited)

Xapo is quite well-known and has been operating for long enough, but they're also quite known for being strict and freezing user's account. Also, their support is so so terrible, like really slow.  :-\ ::)

The xapo's performance are decreased, looks a lot of their users are get restricted by him. -1

Cryptopay, even if need a verification but i ever heard some great experienced with them. +1

Spectro -1 Avoid them, like above me said.

Coinsbank I guess this also one of the reliable place. +1

Wirex, i don't ever having any things or exp about them.

I haven't use Xapo's service for some time so I'm not sure how's their support team these days, but you might want to consider that although Xapo is very popular hand have a direct faucet payment (if you love those faucet things), usually people find difficulties upon asking for support (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=902526.0). In case you encounter some problem with your debit card one day.

You can consider using either xapo or cryptopay. Haven't used any but i have seen some good review regarding both of them, cryptopay seem new to market but already got lots of attention due to good support team as well as option to unload your card and cheaper price for plastic card.

I will suggest you go for either xapo or cryptopay, though I did of use either of the two but I have heard many positive review about them.  But people complain that their accounts easily get frozen by by coinbase so it is not advisable to go for coinbase if you cannot really keep yourself strict to their terms.

I will suggest you bit-x service.  I found bit-x is much trusted and good btc exchange service which also provide debit card with reasonable fees to use the card.

Thanks for your replies. So, as I can see the leaders for now are Xapo and Cryptopay. The Coinsbank reviews are quite contrary. I’ve read some information about all these services and It makes me wonder whether Xapo and Cryptopay have license or not. Maybe there’s no such thing as license requirements for bitcoin services. Should it be a criteria that influence the decision making or the proved by time reputation is far more valuable?

Yes, Coinsbank is a former bit-x. And there is one thing about this service - they don’t have any legal terms/user agreement on their official website. Isn’t it strange?

Do you issue a card or does one withdrawl to his own bank account?

I suggest Xapo. Many users don't like the fact they are asking your personal details and full verification but I think that is actualy good for protection. They run legitimate business so you will not having any issues and their debit card is great. Don't know about the others you have mentioned.
