Title: [INTEREST CHECK ONLY] Casascius 1BTC Silver, original owner w/ PGP docs
Post by: nubbins on November 05, 2016, 04:13:39 PM
Thinking about selling my last remaining 1 BTC Casascius silver.

Ungraded, immaculate condition, PGP proof of ownership + signed PDF, has not been in anyone's possession except Casascius himself and the mailman, who probably didn't know what he was carrying.

I am thinking about selling this coin some time in mid-December, possibly by auction but probably by EOI (expression of interest) only.

Please note that because the coin is still in the possession of its original owner, it is expected to fetch a higher price than one which has been in an unknown number of hands over the past several years.

Photos won't be shared at this time, interested buyers are expected to do their own research on my background and what sort of condition my coins are kept in.

Cheers :)

Seems like the market has livened up a bit in the past six months, so I'm floating this thread again for a week or so. Vault will close back up on June 1.

you're probably looking at about 1.8-2.3BTC based on how the collectibles market is doing lately, and your own urgency

if its your last one, why sell it? I love my coins and have enough difficulty parting ways with duplicates

Ehhhh, I'm not as attached to memorabilia as I once was. The first silver maple leaf I bought using bitcoin is enough of a souvenir for me.

Really hoping to find a collector that appreciates the uniqueness & short ownership chain of these coins; will probably not part with either for less than 2.5-3.0 btc. Bit high for regular silvers, but there are plenty of those around if people want one. Mine are special :)
