Title: S5 stops hashing and loses network
Post by: sikkan on November 06, 2016, 06:38:36 AM
Hi, I have a very annoying problem. Recently my S5 randomly stops mining and loses network conectivity. It gets solved by pulling the power plug and reconnect it again.

Until I find a permanent solution i´d like to try to have the S5 automatically reboot itself if it stops submiting shares.

Is it possible to do it in the CLI?

Best regards

Try to flash it with newer firmware and maybe this will work. I'll tell you what to try:
1.Is your DHCP configured at antminer's side correctly?
2.TRY another PSU or plug only one antminer.
3.buy a clock switch
4.Our member of this forum had the same problem but his antminer was s1, so if you want look for that, who knows, maybe it will help you despite you have antminer s5.

Tried all sorts of FWs from bitmaintech..

1. Yes, its actualy a set IP, and the miner have been working fine until a couple of weeks.
2. Already tried it, switched to a HP server PSU 1kw, still same crap :(
3. yeah, im prolly going for it.
4. I´ll look into it :)

tanx :)

I think the issue is solved. I was running EoP (Ethernet over Power) and had the plug connected to the same outlet as the router. That didnt work well at all. Now they are on separate outlets and its been hashing for 8 hours now without a problem. I hope it works now :)
