Title: Where do people post referral links?
Post by: leex1528 on November 07, 2016, 04:54:20 PM
So just curious. I haven't ever been able to get good referrals from anything I have tried.  Where do people actually post these?  Their own blog, website?  Do they just have good word of mouth with actual friends?  Would love to know some thoughts out there.

I think folks mostly post their referral links on blogs, forums and even on youtube videos. some even try to get referrals from other gambling sites via private chat.

most will pay an ads service. you spent a few dollars to publish your refferal link and sometimes receive lots of registrations using your refferal. You can use a personal blog or something like, that's up to you.

I got some referrals from signature campaign , but I can tell you that if the site is new then you will have way better chance of getting sign ups
AFAIK the best place to promote is youtube , you can do some review about the site and post your link in the description
just please don't be like Adam Guerbuez " The Easy Money Guy  ;D"

There is the way to post if if you join in some gambling casino signature campaign you can ask the manager or the owner for referral links to add to your signature so that you can your referral links while you are posting and advertising your signature this is the easiest way i think to promote.. but you can make more referrals in other forum but you can not get big time gambler.. you can get bigtime gambler almost here in our forum..

Local forums is the best stopped for me in getting bunch of referrals and Im doing this for a long time now and really an effective way especially if you are an active poster in the said forum. We have two famous local forums based here in our country which really has an active visitors to an average of 1000 or above visitors everyday according to their daily stats.

Since the forum Im talking about is for everything under the sun purposes, there is a section about money making methods or opportunities to earn online. In this section I making a thread. I do a clean and good looking thread so that newbies will understand easily what is the thread all about. Don't put too much in the thread and try to make it as simple with lots of information.

As an ex. affiliate manager i will try to give you few tips.

Never spam links. Nobody actually care about link itself. You need to have background story. Why, who where, when?

Have passion for your product, it doesnt matter if it is casino, ebooks, tshirts or rubber dildos..

Build relationships with people. Get to know them, connect with them via FB, Linkedin, Gmail etc.

Brand yourself.

Once they see your passion about the product and they trust you you can sell them anything.

Or second option: spend shit loads of cash to pay for advertising and hope to get  results :)

Its difficult to have good referrals, i think that having a blog about gambling and casinos offers could be a good start, but you will need to work on it and actualize it. I tried with my twitter account and i had some referrals on casinos, but normaly users registered for free promos, and didn't receive any commission for them.

Any social media will be good, specially twitter.
but like @zenzolina said, you need to sell your product... nobody cares about spam messages so a background story will help.

Search for the right place, there's no point in sending your referral about casino to people who hates casino.

You can' find good referrals like big whale to play from your referrals because they dont want to give any kind of money from you guys which is if they wagered a lot you guys just wait his free money without doing anything. To find good ref is a little bit pointless as I can say. But you still can try it and post at all social media to attract people to play from your ref and may be other blogspot might help

It's very difficult to ask people to be your referral if you asked them to go to casino sites, usually people puts their referral link in their blog or website that review casino, posting in twitter and facebook will help, it is easier to get referral link from faucet or ptc site where you can advertise in the faucets site or another ptc site

First because that is a spam and it is not ethical.

Second nobody normal will join on spam posts

Thanks for the thoughts.  Unfortunately I don't have friends that like or will join Bitcoin so I won't be able to advertise it on social media.  I was hoping you could do it somewhere where new people need joining or some ads that you can pay for it.  I guess I will keep trying

Referral links is not allowed on this forum including the local sections, people have to post these links outside the forum. Twitter, Facebook and other social media should be a good choice, at least I choose this way to post the links.

Talking the referral links it also deponds on a good article, a good writing will help you to get more clicks.

While you might think that, spamming is unethical, but can be effective. Spamming on any platform can get you banned, and I wouldn't recommend it though.

However, taking the idea of facebook, you can join groups related to bitcoin/gambling and post once in a while about the gambling site. That way, it isn't spam, and some people might even find a site that they really love.

It works for any social media, but especially facebook due to the groups feature.

Or, like others have said, advertising is a good method. If you run your own website, you can promote the certain gambling site as well.

In facebook or twitter you need first to find a niche related groups then you may get some visitors to your page but no guaranty whether you will get referrals or not. This is quite a difficult job for everyone. But if you can create a nice video about your product and explain people benefits then you may get some referrals instead just sharing your links everywhere.

Having blog or website about bitcoin gambling in general might be the best way to get many referrals, of course you need to have decent blog or website with great design. Just make reviews on any gambling sites will be great, better if you can do some giveaways/promos to your referrals.

There are a lot of traffic from all the world and not all traffic is good for reff link promoting. The best way is very active blog, but even then keep in the mind, that not all traffic will be quality, so the blog must be targeted to some countries.

Title: Re: Where do people post referral links?

The best way to post referral/affiliate links are in a way that the person clicking on them doesn't explicitly know they're referral links (some people have this habit of removing your referral id from the link before opening it). What I mean with this is mostly that you have to link to it in a natural way as part of a blog post or as part of a more informative and useful whole. For example the list of supported sites on my home page (https://bot.seuntjie.com) or the grid showing which features are supported  (https://bot.seuntjie.com/features.aspx)by which sites in my bot. It's informative and useful to the user and having a link to the site feels natural and makes it easier for the user to go to the site. Unless you go look for it, you won't even know you clicked on a ref link

Like others have said, spamming ref links in forum posts or chats usually doesn't work. Almost the only time it's OK to post a referral link blatantly is if someone asks you for a link to the site.

You always post only referral links on your blog. Even you got active blog then you may slowly lose your traffic. Because people don't like to see many referral links on the blog posts. It is tough to get referrals, but youtube videos will be a much better option compared to blog posts to get referrals. Only thing is you need a quality video to promote your referral links.

This is not entirely true. You are allowed to use your referral links in your signature. The best way is when you find a signature campaign which allowing to add your referral link in it. So, you kill two birds with one stone  :)

From my experience, the best way to get referrals except from signatures is to promote on good ad networks. Do not try to use PTC or PTV sites. The sign up rates and activities are really really bad. Basically, if you refer 10 new members you need to expect than only one is really a good one.

Referral links is not allowed on this forum including the local sections, people have to post these links outside the forum. Twitter, Facebook and other social media should be a good choice, at least I choose this way to post the links.

Most users place there referral links in their social networking websites. This gets spread very easily compared to any other forms. Some prefer advertising and referrals through group activities.

You can get folks to sign-up via your facebook group, but will they deposit and gamble? i think you won't earn anything from those referrals, you must refer only those folks who would really gamble and make you money.

Not on bitcointalk that's for sure! If you post your referral link here it's 100% going to be deleted by a moderator.

Tell your friends about the site you want referrals, tell them how good and profitable can be the site and send the link to them.
You can also post it on your facebook page, it's a good nice way to promote your link, but you must be trusted for the people, this increase the chance to have the link clicked by the public.

Yes, they are. People are quite familiar with posting their referral links on blogs, page, facebook profile, etc.. However, it is not very effective. According to my experience, the most powerful way to earn maximum commission is to post your ref links in others forums like TBN, etc.. TBN is a large community which allows you to invite people and post ref link

Your signature space is right choice to promote your referral link if that site support bitcoin, than you can get some active players under your links because early birds catches the worms, I have nice experience on that forum.

I have referrals come from forum, facebook group and twitter(use hashtag more easily attract people who related to bitcoin/other cryptocurrency), social media is have a have major stakes to easy to connected people.
Probably chat group is good too, to share your referral link, for example bitcoin users like to use telegram group.
And also you can share to chatbox(usually at gambling/exchange website).

this deserves a separate article
but there are many many places you can post your reflink at
some methods are more effective than  others, some are almost useless (like spam)
in general,to get a referral you have to offer to your reader/watcher something of value
it can be either a direct incentitive to join under you(special %,bonus points, free meal etc. :)  ),valuable information about the offer or company you promote or ... simply make your potential affiliate smile
there is a separate category of people  that deletes affiliate prefixes from the links they click on,so you are best off with so-called "no affiliate leakage links" where the user is redirected to the site and stores your cookies for a period of time
hence make your reflinks as inconspicuous as possible: there is a difference between clicking onwww.mysuperprogramme.com/?=Imakemoneyofyou (http://www.mysuperprogramme.com/?=Imakemoneyofyou) and www.mysuperprogramme.com (http://www.mysuperprogramme.com/?=Imakemoneyofyou) while in reality it is same link
there are many ways to incorporate affiliate links into your blog or forum, try to find one that is working for you
so,back to the places to advertise your affiliate cash cows
1.social media: twitter,facebook,linkedin,instagram,periscope,vkontakte,google+,youtube etc.
works like a charm, requires additional text "meat" around it and in case of youtube or similar services-videos
a successful reddit or twitter account could be bringing you hundreds of people
2.personal blog or site
incorporate links into articles or simply post a top 10,20,50 etc. best, sexiest, most lucrative offers on Earth (readers love top 10 articles)
3.forums
find forums where your audience dvells, read the rules and post in appropriate sections
once again and I cannot emphasize it enough DO NOT SPAM,not only it is bad but also a waste of time and effort
use your signature and homepage space wisely!
4.PTC sites
try it,some offers bring ridiculous profit
i.e. if you buy 10.000 direct visits for 20$ and you get 30 signups to bring you 1$ each, you are making profit already even without rebills
5.bitcoin or other ad networks (Adsense,a-ads,mellowads etc.)
same with PTC sites,it requires calculation and tests
but if you want to make money, you have to spend money
6.services like bitbin or pastebin
borderline spam but effective for gambling or freebie offers
7.free ad boards
create a "job offer" text, put your reflink in

as I mentioned above, there are many more and each method can be described in detail, but this topic deserves a separate  article
and is closely connected with marketing, arbitrage, sales, social media promotion etc.
hope it gives you general ideas on how to move forward and become an affiliate marketing king(or queen)

But I dont think that most of the campaign will allow you to change your signature with your referrals link though. They want to get many members but not under your referrals.

Btw to promote on some ad network you need to pay some money which is depends on your income so of you have a good income may be you can afford to put huge banner so people will see it. If only one big whale is under you, I think you will be sure become rich in no time. But there is no such big whale want to sign up under other people. They want to get it for themselves

Someone above has mentioned facebook groups where it is allowed to post your referral link, from my own experience I know that this method doesn't work very well these groups have no rules, they are pure spamfests (about 5 new posts per minute) and almsot nobody will see your post.
But you can start your own FB group, set strict rules to prevent spam and pin your post on the top of the page,it's easy, free and you will get a lot of referrals.

In addition to this, you can also make your own FB page as opposed to a group, and put the link at the top of your page. They both are good methods, it depends on which one your prefer.

Also, there are clever ways to advertise sites, for example, I see people make tutorials for a certain type of site, and then put their ref link as one of the "trusted sites" to try out the method.

if you really want to start making money from referral commissions some of these gambling sites are offering then you have to start working hard for it to gain some real players who bet for real. otherwise you can start putting your referral link in your signature, on some other forums and on twitter,... but in the end you would only get some random player who claims faucet and makes some bets.

for big whales (high rollers) you have to search for them and hunt them down :D

There is no way we can hunt down the big whale, we never know who is the big whale and where are they going. That is why we need to put all over the sites that much probably big whale are going to go there. But sure it really takes time though but most of them are not going to use link on your referrals because they want to earn by themselves without giving you any penny from it. But still you can try to search for it if you have more time, i dont have time for that kind of thing though :D

I think most people that I've seen that has a lot of referral are those people who own a site, blog, group in Facebook, twitter ,etc. And most of them have good reputation on what they do in such a way that they make sure that their links or sites that they are referring isn't a scam or a ponzi. But there are some people who has a lot of referral due to cheating like doing some self referral from which they change their IP using VPN per account.

Another good way of getting some referrals that actually bet is by making Youtube videos and explaining them some nice strategies like how to win with the site you are advertising them. Just if you blindly ask them to join with your ref link they would never, tell them a good startegy and mention that my refs will often get good advice for free.

Yes, this works too but I think that running a facebook group is a lot easier for the simple reason that you don't have to look for people to like your page, they will come alone and join your group to post their referral links.

So just curious. I haven't ever been able to get good referrals from anything I have tried.  Where do people actually post these?  Their own blog, website?  Do they just have good word of mouth with actual friends?  Would love to know some thoughts out there.

you can promote and post referal link in your blog include tutorial how to work
and then you can post in promote in forum allowed post link
if you have much follower in twitter , much friend in facebook, and facebook group the big member
you can post in there

Most of people nowadays uses social media in posting there referral links, they can do promoting their interest their like in facebook, twitter and even youtube helped a lot of people with their personal puposes. This is now the trend of the current generation and it keeps on multiplying influences of social media sites which may help you promote what links intended for business or for personal sites.
Yes, when I search google for primedice strategy (for fun because i know there is no working strategy) but actually 100's of results pops up saying that my strategy works 100% now suppose someone is new then they will fall for it, and hey guys beware most youtubers also give bots to bet, which YOU MUST NEVER USE.

if you really want to start making money from referral commissions some of these gambling sites are offering then you have to start working hard for it to gain some real players who bet for real. otherwise you can start putting your referral link in your signature, on some other forums and on twitter,... but in the end you would only get some random player who claims faucet and makes some bets.

for big whales (high rollers) you have to search for them and hunt them down :D
Personally I prefer to make a youtube video that explains nicely and show them some winning money. I have seen the best traffic and referrals coming from there, because most often people search youtube ad google for " 100% working strategy for primedice " , but hey I am not asking you to fool them by saying that your strategy works 100%

You have just answered your question. Most of the successful marketers are getting their referrals through their blogs. They would also start to create a community on social media. Adding all the possible referrals

There are people that are spamming on facebook groups but there are also clever people that make blogs about gambling and put their referral links there. Some people even create a whole blog about bitcoins so they can put their referral links in faucet sites, bitcoin wallet sites, different gambling casino sites, etc. Once you have your own blog, all you have to do is post new content every now and then but mostly you just have to promote your blog.

This is a interesting post that summarizes many of the ways promoting referral links, although the format is hard to read. I tried most of the described ways and I agree to most. Except point 6) and 7) did absolutely not work for me. Maybe my approach was wrong or not ideal but I have never gotten referrals through it. PTC sites are also not that good as many think. I do not know how so many people promoting referral links there. If you are lucky and get referrals then most are inactive or activity is very low.

With facebook and twitter I had a bad time trying to get referrals. I was like asking people to retweet them and hence share, but hardly anyone came. The thing that worked for me was to tell all my contacts in skype and hangouts about the site, because those people see all the messages I send and not just a formal invitation.

I think it depends on the niche when you promote PTC sites. For example, if you are promoting a gambling referral link on PTC sites, you might not get many clicks as they probably don't have extra money to gamble.

However, people on PTC sites want to earn more bitcoins, so if you promote a site such as a faucet or a site where you can get free bitcoins, you'll probably get a nice amount of referrals.

most referrals I managed to recruit was 13.800 for one of the gambling sites
also just recently did 2.900 for one of the dice sites, which is currently offline
you do need money to get quantities but free promotion works well too
its compromise between time and money investment, adding links manually take time and sometimes its better to pay

Well in my own experience where i post my referral links on blog, other forums should be reputative so that you can get more referrals. and other ways like i tested few weeks ago youtube video plus facebook as referral site and if it will be keep it viral and successful you can get more referrals... depends if youtube video you made is attractive..

I'm not a blogger but I find this very useful for those people who are depending on their referral links. And by just simply creating a blog that can really be an effective way of promoting some referral commissions through it. After describing some things about a certain product or services and by just hyperlinking your referral links that can make you an instant one.

I am not a blogger myself as well but I can make money with posting in different forums and of course you need to be a trusted member of the forum you are posting and you can interact with other members so they will be attracted to gamble.

So far my referral is on a gambling site.

besides create blog do not underestimate the power of social media because if you have plenty friends on your facebook or twitter account then most likely you will get many referral active and i think to promote referral links using social media will be good way but you have to make sure the sites that you are promoting really paying not scam

I came across your post searching for the same terms. So, recently I've been scouring the web for airdrops and bounties. I'm really actually enjoying learning about the new [Suspicious link removed]panies and I've generated over 100 referral links in a short time. I figured it would be a good idea to compile them to share with friends and eventually put together this Steemit post and telegram channel.

Crypto Referrals and Airdrop Links:
https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@mendocrypto/mendocrypto-airdrop-links

Telegram Airdrops Channel:

So far, I have a really limited following on Steemit and Telegram... like basically nobody. Not very many of my organic audience is involved in crypto. So, I'm thinking there will be some facebook groups and subthreads where referral links are permitted, but in general it's really hard not to come across as a total spammer. I mean, the real question here is, "what's the difference between an enthusiastic sincere community member's posts and those of a spammer?" Because you can basically engage communities out of sincere interest and desire to share, and be totally misunderstood. Ultimately, I think it will be necessary to make your referral links sort of an afterthought, you know? Like, it's there in your signature on your posts and people can scope it out if they like what you're saying about something else. That's how I would try to police things if I were the admins, but I haven't really read all of the guidelines on this forum yet and I have already earned myself a little ip ban from them which cost me a few precious Satoshis! Just my 2c.

You can promote in your signature itself but choose the sites carefully. It is very important to sign up for referral campaign with a reputed and legitimate online casino. There are independent regulators which verify these online casinos. If you sending referrals to a fraud casino, you will never see any earning even after they convert.

Obviously it is not a good way to promote a fraud casino, why people should do it if there are many other better casinos to promote and earn from the affiliate program.
Putting referral link on our signature is indeed a good way to get referrals but is not that easy. We may get some referrals but it is not a guarantee that they are real players who can give us some earning from affiliate commission.

It's important to choose wisely, but there are great programs running now that actually work. I've been wearing the yolodice signature for some time and got a couple referrals. One of them even wagered a decent sum and got me some money. Just don't think that you can make a lot by having a code in your signature. Not many people are high rollers and those who are don't choose a random person to benefit from their bets.

Usually I don't like seeing old threads like these being bumped, but in this case it's still pretty relevant.

I've also been using Steemit to promote some referral links, but I don't do it by spamming.
I try to write good articles and post 1 promotional banner with referral link under every article I write.

This works pretty good and I've gotten quite a few referrals on different websites. Though gambling does not tend to be that popular on Steemit.
You'd do better by promoting other things, ICO's perhaps?

I've got 400 followers on Steemit, with my articles averaging around 10 - 15 USD.

Blogs can not show the old influences, blog owners usually do not care about blogs.

If one publishes a useful information on their blog post and if a user finds the answer to their issues then they will try to follow those bloggers. People who trust these writers may click some of the advertisements on their blogs to find out more info. So there are chances that one can still get a referral from blogs but very difficult nowadays compared to social media promotions.

The best way a good content video which is related to the product your promoting. Upload to youtube and facebook and other social media sites to attract more people. If your content is good then surely you will get some referrals.

The best way to promote your ref link is to promote it on a forum if it's related to gambling then buy a banner here, or ask high rank members to wear your signature. Secondly use quora and Reddit but understand first how you can do it, otherwise you'll get it messed up. One can even promote it on YouTube and Facebook, Instagram good way to get traffic.

The problem with referral links is to get active referrals. After one year in my signature campaign I’ve had many referrals who registered on the site but none of them spent any money.

That's why quality referrals are more important to earn money from this method. It is not a one-time thing that you get few referrals now and forget it because people may move on to new games and new sites exploring so you have to be getting referrals constantly to make some money. We just need to keep trying our best to find more and more new referrals and in that, we may get some quality referrals.

True, it's hard to find the most active ones that will stay to you forever. I have read someone that made more than 1 BTC within few days through his active referrals.
If you are focused of getting more, you have to be consistently adding more.

I have managed to get some good referrals from making a Youtube video. Tried many other way such as facebook posts and forums but, it didn't work for me. Spamming on forums and live chats are good for nothing as they often lead to get a ban on our accounts. Mostly, people don't like to use referral links. Making clickable images or banners gives result.

Thats true that, it's difficult to have good referrals, i think that having a blog about gambling and casinos offers could be a good start, but you will need to work on it and actualize it. I tried with my facebook account and i had some referrals on gambling casinos, but normaly users registered for free promos, and just recieved some refferals :).
